We came here for lunch and were seated right away, which was nice. One thing that immediately stood out to me was the bottle decor used as the border around the restaurant. It gave the place a fun and unique vibe. We ordered a family-size pizza, half creamy pesto and half another flavor that I can't remember. Unfortunately, the pizza was just okay for us. I'd give it a 2/5. We also tried the Italian Wedding Soup, which was another 2/5. The highlight of our meal was definitely the fried ravioli. We really enjoyed it and would order it again. The service was great, and the drink selection was impressive with plenty of options to choose from. Overall, I would come back for snacks, appetizers, and drinks, but probably not for a full meal. While visiting my family in Antioch, my brother in law and sister took me to this restaurant. Although it only has 3 1/2 stars I think it was a good 4 1/2. The restaurant is large, clean, and has cute nostalgic decor. The staff was friendly and quick. The food we ordered apart from one item was absolutely delish. Here is what we had... Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos Cream cheese and spinach stuffed in a jalapeno, wrapped in bacon and deep fried - this was sooo good. I love jalapeno poppers but this is even better with the bacon wrap. The flavors go together very well. Creamy Pesto Pizza Creamy Pesto Sauce, Mushrooms, Onions, Zucchini, Artichoke Hearts and Bacon - OMG, I love pesto and this one just hits the spot. Skip's Dip Our homemade bread sliced and warmed for dipping. Skip's dip is Olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Italian seasoning, fresh garlic, and fresh grated parmesan - this is the BOMB. The bread is perfect as is the dipping sauce. I could have ordered just this and would be happy. Super filling so make sure to share Calamari Fritti Golden Fried Calamari served with Lemon Aioli - this was the item that was just ok. I am very particular about my fried calamari and there was nothing really special about this. Ravioli Fritti (Fried Cheese Ravioli) Cheese Raviolis lightly fried served with Creamy Marinara Dipping Sauce - This is the second time I have had this. First time was in another restaurant and I must say this tops it. Eggplant Parmesan Two slices of breaded eggplant topped with melted mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and parmesan, served with Cappellini pasta in our creamy marinara sauce - although the eggplant was a little tough, the flavor was amazing. Their pasta sauce is super good Fettuccini di Pollo Fettuccini pasta, grilled chicken, wild mushrooms, artichokes, and sun dried tomatoes tossed in a creamy pesto sauce as I mentioned earlier I am a pesto fan...this...this is the one. We've been searching for a good pizza place in Oakley and found this one on Yelp. We noticed this place whenever we drive through Main St and we finally tried them. The service is fast, and they notify you when your pizza is ready. We ordered their small Prego pizza. For 2 people, this size is enough. There's a lot of meat on this pizza. This Skipolini's is a really nice location with a playground and nice outdoor area. The outdoor area is not as big as Antioch's but the inside has a nice area to host parties. Definitely recommend the venue for big events- we had my son's party there- and it was pretty reasonable for the amount of food/drinks that were served. read more

We went to the Oakley's location. When we got there we noticed they weren't busy so we thought it would be a good time, we were wrong! It took a good 10+ minutes for the KIDS that were running the place to even acknowledge we were there, we ordered a pizza, a burger and chicken Marsala, the pizza didn't have a lot of toppings, the burger was ordered well done and it was served RARE, when they recooked it, it came back without the stuff that made it a Southern burger. This was the second time we have been there, The first time, we let the bad food and service go because it had just opened. We took a chance hoping it would be better, but it was not a good outcome. Let me start by saying I love love love Skipolini's pizza. I worked at the Walnut Creek location many years ago and it's an all time favorite. This was my first time visiting the Oakley location, I've only ever ordered to go from here which has always been a good experience. We came in on a Sunday evening and it was pretty busy. Our server Ashley was very sweet, we were appreciative of her attentive service. It took quite a while to get our food but the pizza was amazing as always so it was worth the wait. I love that they have the little play area to keep the kids distracted while waiting for food. I wish I could leave this review a 5 star but the cleanliness of the restaurant was lacking. The host sat us at a booth that had pizza crumbs all over the seats. I had to wipe down myself before we sat down. Then I look up and the vent right above our table was caked with disgusting dust (as seen in photo). The windowsill at our booth looked like they hadn't been wiped down in a long time. And the bathrooms... yikes. The trash was overflowing with paper towels dumping onto the floor. The stalls were gross. It was disappointing. As a customer it's just a real turn off. It makes me not want to eat somewhere no matter how good the food is if I feel like it's not a clean establishment. read more

Skipolini's in Oakley - The food is fresh, hot, made to order, and the wait staff is always, fun, friendly, and professional! - Especially my man, Gio! Gio takes great care of us - EVERY TIME! The man is solid as an oak! He's kind, consistent, friendly, professional, and personable. He's the prime example of what a quality wait person should be! We've ordered the pizza, the pastas, the salads, and so much more. Every time it's delicious! That's why we keep coming back. And if anything doesn't come correct, the wait staff always fix it. We stopped by Skipolini's last Friday and had a mostly great experience, with a few quirks worth mentioning. When we arrived, there was no host at the front counter. After waiting a bit, a young lady came over and asked us to walk in front of her to our table, which felt a bit awkward--definitely not the warmest welcome. We were seated in the downstairs bar area, where another server brought us menus after a short wait and later took our drink order. We tried the Skip's Moscow Mule and the Mystic Margarita, and both were fantastic--refreshing, well-balanced. For food, we ordered a medium pizza, half Margherita and half combination with extra onions and cheese. The crust was just the right amount of crispy, and every bite had great flavor. Honestly, the kitchen really delivered. All the staff we interacted with were kind and professional. The only downside was the slow service at the start. Even a quick acknowledgment when guests arrive would help set a better tone. The food was five-star, but because of the service hiccup, I'd rate the overall experience four stars. Wow! What a total surprise form Skipolini's here at Oakley. We have seen branches of Skipolini's at Concord and Walnut Creek and decided to try it out when we were craving some pastas and pizza. The location at Oakley was also a former Italian restaurant. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and was warm and cozy. I do like the very inviting gelato cart in front of the restaurant, pulling you into having their classic yummy Italian dessert. Per usual, the kids had their peperoni pizza, whereas the adults had their Prego pizza. We also had their clam chowder and I had their Fettuccini de Pollo. First things first: their Fettuccini de Pollo was the bomb! The conglomeration of their creamy pesto sauce, sun dried tomatoes, artichokes, and wild mushrooms was such a delight. It is extremely flavorful and hearty. Without a doubt, this pasta is one of my top favorites in a long while. In a similar fashion, the Prego pizza is also delicious loaded with flavorful cuts of meat that brings the pie up a notch. The clam chowder was no slouch too. Overall, we had a great time at Skipolini's. The service was great, the food was excellent, and the ambiance ties everything together. I reckon I will bring my parents here to try out their yummy Italian food. read more

I really enjoy how they have different areas of the restaurant depending what you're looking for. The bar, outside by the bar they have cornhole, a really nice outdoor lounge with fireplaces & umbrellas, and of course a play structure which keeps the inside nice and quiet because all the kids are outside. Let's start by, when I walk into the establishment, last night 6/13/2025, the host proceeds to escort us to the Bar area as requested, but doesn't grab any menus, just says follow me. We follow and she proceeds to have a lengthy conversation with another hostess in the entry way of the bar - so we (my sister and I) proceed to sit ourselves down. After a while (maybe 5mins or more) she turns to go back to her post, never looking around for us, or noticing whether we were still waiting for her..We sit, laugh and talk about the week's events for a while, finally noticing no one has greeted us. Literally takes 15 mins for us to be acknowledge. My sister proceeds to find us a menu, but it was only a drink menu from another table. I'm watching about 6-7 servers standing at the bar laughing and chatting (I assume this is where staging is?). There was a short blond petite server at the table directly to my right. The entire time talking and laughing with the couple not once saying, someone will be with; even if it wasn't her, I stared at her for about 10 mins trying to signal -"hey over here!" Trying for eye contact hard- she sees me but continued on. We continued to stare, and browse the drink menu, trying to decide at this point do we get up and leave. Finally, Kristilyn comes to take our order, I ask for a couple menus because obviously we had none, also asked about a "Happy Hour menu" - she says, "oh it's Monday through Friday" I said, yea, and it's Friday; then she says "oh let me go ask!"; stunned, I'm trying to figure what she is asking; she walks behind the bar, chats with bartender for a bit. Now at this point my blood is starting to boil because WHAT? I'm tired, drive home from working in Fremont want drinks and food with my sister and my whole experience so far is sub-PAR! She returns and says, "sorry it's over at 5:00pm. Another surprise, now I'm frustrated; my sister proceeds to order, she is way more tolerant than me. We hadn't seen each other for close to a year, and I started a new job - we were really hoping for more of a celebration. She ordered, us drinks - a lemon drop and Hennessy side car, plus I order meat lovers pizza small, and buffalo wings. I get up, and walk to the hostess area because I just didn't believe happy was over; it was confirmed over from 2-5pm which is CRAZY FOR PEOPLE WHO WORK! (By the way, I don't like well drinks; but happy hour food is nice. Drinks were good; the chicken came out cold as if it had sat there from 2-5pm. Both my sister and I had eaten one by the time she came back around. I asked if the could take them back to warm them, she first said they'll give us new ones, they don't warm food.. then she returns to say they'll warm them, so it will be faster. At this point it's whatever! Pizza was good! Finally, Sidney comes by checking on customers, stops with us - I explain about the chicken and she says oh no, you will get some new ones, it'll take 10mins and she was also taking it from our bill - very nice way to rectify a not so pleasant experience. Bill comes; we skim over it apparently or I wouldn't be writing this; bill was about $135 (ish) - chicken was removed, my sister question why so high and I told her we had 2- drinks and a shot (made sense to me). But this morning I'm reviewing my receipt and lo and behold, we were charged for a $10 Tito and lemon drop $3; Hennessy $15, sidecar $3. This is crazy - If a mixed drink is $13 or $18 charge that amount, because it seems real pricey or over priced to wake up and see a ton of extra charges on my bill. And then.... I click the stars to leave a comment, and that failed saying I've either left a comment already, or your time has expired (from last night and it's 7am?? Really?? Do better all the way around. I've eaten here twice in this area! One was for a birthday dinner and the second was hosting my son's TK grad dinner. Both times were really yummy (at least to me!) I booked the rooftop for about 30 people (including kids) I absolutely love how attentive and friendly the servers are, they were very quick to make sure our food was to our liking and warm temps for the kids. Personally, I liked their red pasta, a fam favorite was the Parmesan chicken, calamari, wings, and ofc pizza! Loved their variety of desserts; gelato, cake, and tiramisu? I believe I got a package deal where everyone got to choose what they wanted. I loved the upstairs so much, the rooftop had lights, waterfall area, and just being away from the crowd to have a more intimate dining experience was worth it.
