Chiant's is our favorite restaurant to dine in and the waiters and waitresses are always polite, friendly and respectful. We always enjoy the cuisine the food is delicious and we always pick two of our favorite dishes, salads and desserts. Thank you Chiants staff for your wonderful hospitality!

    Cioppino-3 mussels closed
    Bharti S.

Today evening I gave an order for Cioppino - seafood section & Vodka pasta on the phone & reconfirmed my order again to be sure... was told to come for pickup after 25 mins. When I picked my order & started to pay I saw my order was incomplete upon checking I was told they have only put in my pasta order... ( this is after reconfirming twice on phone while giving order) ... so very grudgingly I put in the order again for Cioppino & told to wait for another 15 to 20 mins ... I finished paying then very patiently told the manager about the order mishap... manager said he can't do anything except expedite the order since they are busy... very disappointing experience... Upon reaching home when I opened the container of Cioppino I saw there is no hint of crab & out of 4 mussels only 1 was opened ... 1 barely opened & the rest 2 was completely shut... I threw all the 3 mussels didn't wanted to take chances with my health... I am attaching pics so you can see for yourself. I have never seen any restaurant serving Cioppino like that... I don't know if the chef even noticed the dish or gave a final check before packing the item by the kitchen staff .... very disappointed... below is the detail description of the item ... didn't feel it was worth $42.95 at all.... After tasting the dish it was tasting like it was made in a hurry no flavors but the other seafood like shrimp & scallops were fresh but clams were mostly empty (no meat)... I didn't enjoy the dish at all. Cioppino - $ 42.95 Shellfish stew prepared with prawns, scallops, clams, crab meat, mussels, onion, basil, and garlic in our homemade cioppino sauce. Vodka pasta was good - 4/5 But my overall experience was very disappointing & wish they could have handled it more gracefully.... just to be clear I was not looking for any comp off but would have appreciated if the manager would have handled it more efficiently.... I completely support local businesses & I do understand times are tough for everyone especially restaurant but u can't tell your customer that restaurant is busy , kitchen is busy even I being a manager have to attend all the tables it's a busy night for us ... well I am happy to see ur restaurant is doing well & I do hope customer gets excellent customer service after all we all are paying with our hard earned money for a good meal & service. So thank you Chianti manager for expediting my missing order but failed to check if the dish made was correct.... Especially for a $42 item... will not choose to come during your busy time & would gladly choose business who understands customer service. Thanks for wasting my time , money & food experience.

Great service. Our waitress was really friendly. Gave us lots of suggestions on the menu and checked in on us. The ambiance is odd because some tables had a white table cloth but ours didn't. No big deal. For the food. The complimentary bread and olive oil want good. We started with the Bruschetta we had came in soft bread. Usually the bread is toasted. This was disappointing. I had the chicken parm and it was delicious. 2 large pieces of chicken, I had to take one to go, pasta on the bottom. The breading was crunch and tasty. I don't know if I would come back.

My first visit and definitely won't be my last. I was joining 2 great friends dinner. Nice selection on the wine list. I chose a glass of Wente Sauvignon Blanc. Lots of wonderful choices on the dinner menu too. I was in the mood for some fresh vegies and chose the Pasta Primavera. One friend chose Chicken Marsala and the other chose a shrimp scampi with past dish. Our food came out in a decent time...we had time to chat and catch up before we were served and our waiter attentive and checked on us and recognized that we wanted to visit and come up to us too often which was perfect. He also didn't harass us because we had sat at the table for about 2 hours. That was nice. My only issue was that my friend's dish, the chicken Marsala only came with the chicken that was on top of pasta, no side of vegies. It looked awkward. Other than that the dinner was wonderful.

Food came out nice & hot. Spaghetti was lacking a bit of flavor. Portions could have been better. I will be coming back.

    Lemon Picata with fettuccine noodles

This place never fails! We have been going there for a while now and every time we go our food is amazing! Their service and friendly environment makes our evenings out so pleasant. My husband ordered the Veal Lemon and I ordered the Lemon Picata... I changed my noodles to fettuccini and they were both delicious! My chicken was so tender and juicy! Never a fail

Update: I thought I'd try to give this place a second chance but alas, shame on me for even bothering. Stood there at the front desk while waiters and the hostess walked around and a couple were just standing there. Made eye contact with one waiter and still nothing. Finally got someone to pay attention to us and the waiter/host made it seem like he was doing us a favor talking to us or even seating us. I said nevermind, and walked out. If you are a person of color, PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR.... DO NOT GO HERE.

Made a reservation for 6:45 and was seated on time. Restaurant was warm and welcoming. Very nice staff and New Year's eve was in the air. There was a pre fixed menu with good items to pick from. We had the caprese salad to start. Scallop and Shrimp pasta , and Chicken Marsala. Both were quite tasty. For dessert we shared the crème brûlée , was good a little burned on top but underneath was creamy and sweet. Loved the inside of the restaurant, very clean and spaced nicely. Definitely will be back! PS eye young host at the front was very nice.

    Here for getting a to-go !

They also had the World Cup on several TVs, so if you're trying to eat without missing the game, they've got you covered. I ordered the shaken beef with yellow rice, and it was the star of the meal. It was short drive to the Brentwood Center shopping mall and was able to park in front. Arriving at 1:45pm on a Friday, there were a couple of tables of customers. Restaurant was modern, clean and bright. They had some TVs and had world cup soccer on. They had a specials board with nine items with three in Vietnamese. Checking out the menu, we had some questions. Our waitress couldn't answer some of our questions and she had another waitress come and she was answered our questions and described the special items. I went with caramelized pork belly with rice special. It came in a cute little black pot with a plate of rice and a salad. There were four large pieces of pork belly in sauce and they were tender and tasty. There was a boiled egg in the pot as well. Friend ordered the vermicelli bun with grilled pork and egg rolls. She was happy with the dish especially and appreciated the sliced grilled pork. If in the area, would stop here again if looking for Vietnamese cuisine. Good food and friendly and efficient service.

The atmosphere was about middle ground, neither high end, but also not dingy or garish. In terms of service, everyone was friendly, willing to clear up confusions, and patient. -ORDER: 6PC TENDER COMBO; HONEY & SWEET BBQ- STRENGTHS *Both sauces, including their own honey lemon, and a more conventional BBQ were high quality. The honey lemon was unique, as it left the wings a bit dryer than a traditional sauce *The slaw was good. Not unique, but still executed well, being flavorful, cold, and fresh. *Their in-house mango passionfruit drink was unique, and rather good. It was a good refresher to cleanse my pallet in between bites. POTENTIAL POINTS OF IMPROVEMENT *The carrots and celery were... pathetic. The slices were equally thinner and shorter than my index finger. *The tenders beneath the sauce tasted like pre made tenders, as they tasted very similar to many other tenders I've had at various restaurants Conclusion: Wing bros in Antioch was a flavorful, above average quality experience with decent value for what you get. You get three types of shellfish and it comes with corn, potatoes, and sausages. And you choose the flavor and the level of spice. So we got the Cajun and mild. The amount of seafood boil in the one order is a lot of food in my opinion. Depending on how much one person can eat, I think the one order is good for 2-3 people. Service was good not perfect. We had to wait at least 10-15 minutes. I also order their mango drink. I love that you get free refills while you wait for your food (to go). We didn't dine in, we took the food home. Was a little disappointed that our seafood boil did not have the sausages, I literally kept checking the bag until I finally dumped it on the table and still no sausages. The boil was a little on the salty side. But over all it was still a good boil. The ambiance is cool it's got that sports bar vibe going on but it's kid friendly. The price is not as expensive as other places who serve seafood boil. Hope next time is a bit better experience.

Unfortunately, the bar and the kitchen just didn't deliver. My Gin & Tonic was a hazard; it was so completely overloaded with peppercorns that I felt like I was chewing my drink and had to spit them out after every sip. For food, the corn elote lacked balance, and the scallops--which arrived swimming in a soup instead of a puree--tasted noticeably off. The chicken parm was entirely forgettable. With these kinds of texture and flavor issues, there's just no attention to detail in the kitchen. Even with great service, we won't be returning.

Our server, Beto, was exceptional. Friendly, genuine, attentive, personable, and welcoming, he made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. As parents of young children, we especially appreciated how quickly everything came out without sacrificing quality. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Laconda salad with salmon (on the side), which was incredibly fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. The special house made gnocchi with various cheeses was fresh and delightful. We also enjoyed a cheese pizza and the spaghetti and meatballs, both of which were delicious and expertly prepared. Every dish tasted authentic, fresh, thoughtful, and full of flavor. What stood out most was how effortless the entire evening felt. Great service, beautiful ambiance, and excellent food came together to create one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. Locanda Capri has firmly reclaimed its place as one of my favorite restaurants in the area. We left happy, impressed, and already looking forward to our next visit. * A special thank you to Beto for making our evening so enjoyable. We didn't have a reservation so there wasn't a table big enough in the patio area to seat us, but the indoor area was just as cute! We got a Locanda salad and the Brussels sprouts as starters and my friend and I ended up deciding on the Firenze pizza to split. The Brussels sprouts were super tasty and the salad was refreshing after we'd been in the sun so long. I had kinda high expectations for the pizza because there are signs all over on how it's the 5th best pizza in the world(?), but maybe those signs were more so regarding the margherita pizza(?). I typically love pizza with pesto in it--this one had yellow tomatoes + burrata as well, which were both wins in my book, but it was unfortunately way, way too oily for my taste. (We wanted to blot the pool of oil out but didn't want to eff up their provided cloth napkins.) It was still tasty, but i definitely think it cookie been better. That being said, I am really curious about their pastas, so if we do go back in the future, I'll likely go for that instead!
