This was my first time here I decided to treat myself to a pre-birthday dinner. Nicole the bartender was great. She was quick with putting in the order and making sure that the food came on time. Nicole can help you decide on what beverage works best for you and your meal. I had the margarita pizza with a beet salad. Beet salad was one of the best I've had just the right amount of balsamic vinegar with a very creamy goat cheese, and just the right amount of Craisins. The margarita pizza had the best crust it was buttery to the ends and just the right amount of cheese,sauce, and basil. Some pizzas are greasy, but this one was not it was worth every penny. This place is good for kids, hanging out with friends or a great date night.
Love what they did with the "patio" area here. It's like you're sitting in Italy. The Vesuvio drink with smoke was a show stopper. Service was good, albeit a little slow. This place has a very laid back Italian vibe; stay awhile, relax, enjoy good company, & food. The margarita pizza is an award winner for a reason. A perfectly fluffy crust with slightly charred outer bubbles. Whole basil leaves & a simple but tasty sauce. The Gorgonciccia is gorgonzola forward, obviously. The Italian sausage is superb. The Caesar salad is solid. The Locanda salad was very fresh & unique. I just expected it to be a bit larger @$17. If you are not in a rush & are not on a budget, this is a great place to have a relaxing, enjoyable meal.
This was our first time trying the restaurant and overall it was a good experience! I ordered a cocktail and my partner got the espresso martini and both were very good! Our server was such a nice older man who was patient with us and made us feel welcomed. We sat in the back which was super warm but that's mostly because of the huge pizza oven. It was really nice seeing all the decorations so that helped. I thought the food was fine overall, i originally ordered the gnocchi which i didn't like so we switched plates and the Penne was good and my partner enjoyed the gnocchi. The meatballs were yummy but overall i wasn't wowed by anything considering the price. a good spot to try though if you're in the area
Date night on a Saturday. Reservations were easy to make. We started with the fritto misto and locanda salad. Both were delightful and enough to share for two. I would have liked some fresh cracked pepper but didn't see any around. He had the vesuvio aka old fashioned; it was super smokey and it had a bunch of bits on the bottom. It could have been strained better. For dinner, I had the wood fired carbonara pizza. It's being enough to share topped with crispy guanciale. Really delicious! He had the chicken parm, kind of thick piece of chicken over mashed potatoes. They ran out of tiramisu but substituted the limoncello cake instead. Overall 4 out of 5 for our date night in downtown Brentwood.
Amazing Service , very chic atmosphere the decor is beautiful! Food is delicious pasta sauce was not heavy and fresh. Great lasagna! Highly recommend. Drinks are also delicious and refreshing!
I had hopes for a really good restaurant in Brentwood, since we are really laking in that area. My family and I went for lunch on a Saturday (it wasn't "busy" despite the Farmer's Market happening) and boy...not sure if I'd come back. First, I came a few minutes late from the rest of the group - they already got drinks ordered and it took 5 minutes for someone to come back and ask if I wanted a drink, regular plain Coca Cola, and then another 10 minutes to bring out said Coca Cola. And when I got it, there was more ice than Coca Cola in it the glass, which seemed less than a Mini Coke. Then the food comes...we asked for our son's kid pizza to come out first because he's little/hungry (it doesn't) and on top of that the dough was not cooked through all the way in many spots. When the rest of the food comes out, they bring my bread sandwich (see photo of "Meatball Panini") and boy was that a disappointing sandwich. TWO meatballs on opposite ends of the sandwich, a little cheese, and no sauce - it was like 95% bread (for $20). On top of that they forgot to bring out the pizza my wife ordered as well as another meatball dish, and after 15 minutes of waiting we had to flag someone down to ask. I'm convinced that if we didn't ask for them, we wouldn't have gotten them. The atmosphere is nice-ish and our server was nice as well, but added next to the other parts, I don't feel it can overcome those negatives. But hopefully it was an off day or something and other people have better experiences.

I was really disappointed by this restaurant. The food was all very bland. We ordered a Margherita Pizza- the picture showed fresh sliced melted mozzarella with lots of basil, what you'd expect from this type of pizza. What we got was a pizza with shredded mozzarella and two pieces of basil. Very bland. The Fettuccini Bolognese was also very bland, literally no flavor. On the plus side the manager and server were very nice, but I won't be back due to lackluster food.
After a full morning of fruit picking, this place was the perfect stop for lunch! We sat in the back covered patio (dog-friendly!), which had a nice lounge area decorated with lots of IG worthy photo opps lol. Visited this restaurant a year or so ago when it first opened, it was excellent. Unfortunately I went after Christmas 2025 and it was not as enjoyable. The food was extremely bland, and the inside of the restaurant had a lingering sewage smell, maybe the plumbing has some issues. The staff were very kind, but the food was not good and the drinks were so sour my friend and I couldn't finish them. Hoping this was just a bad day and not a reflection of the food and restaurant quality now.
Charming restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was great, friendly helpful service and the food was delicious and well priced. Portions are very generous. I can't wait to go back and try the pizza.
Came here for happy hour with the in-laws a few months back. It's an Italian restaurant in the front and they have an enclosed patio area that takes you into a photo-centric Italian escape. We popped in for cocktails and desserts and the service was amazing. Each drink we ordered came with its own little show! I loved how the bartender finished off the drinks infront of us and kept us engaged. Will definitely be coming back!

UPDATED REVIEW: Locanda Capri has always been one of the most beautiful additions to our historic downtown, and after our most recent visit, I'm reminded exactly why I fell in love with it in the first place, despite the few setbacks. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and elegant. We were seated in the back area, which was stunning and provided the perfect setting for a relaxing family dinner. Our server, Beto, was exceptional. Friendly, genuine, attentive, personable, and welcoming, he made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. As parents of young children, we especially appreciated how quickly everything came out without sacrificing quality. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Laconda salad with salmon (on the side), which was incredibly fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. The special house made gnocchi with various cheeses was fresh and delightful. We also enjoyed a cheese pizza and the spaghetti and meatballs, both of which were delicious and expertly prepared. Every dish tasted authentic, fresh, thoughtful, and full of flavor. What stood out most was how effortless the entire evening felt. Great service, beautiful ambiance, and excellent food came together to create one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. Locanda Capri has firmly reclaimed its place as one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The food was good (took two tries to get the meatballs hot, but one companion was two bites in before I could get a pic, and was not keen on stopping). The service was great (another order mistake was resolved with a comp). Would definitely recommend sitting in the back patio. It is fully covered and even felt comfortable in the cool evening. We were there during an event so the mood was rather raucous. I look forward to dining again on a normal day. read more
Came here with 4 other women for dinner. I had been here once before and had dinner at the bar and the food was fairly good. On this night...not so much. I was in the mood for seafood and when the waiter mentioned a risotto with crab and shrimp and a bit of red sauce, I thought this would be a winner. It would have been nice if when he mentioned the specials he also mentioned the price. The women next to me ordered it as well. When we finally got our dinners (took awhile) my risotto dish looked pretty good. Thought it was odd that some shrimp still had their tails while some didn't. As I was eating it, I noticed two things...the risotto was not cooked all the way AND if there truly was crab then it must have been waved over the top because it was not making an appearance on my plate. I asked my friend next to me how she liked hers. She also noticed the undercooked pasta. Little did we know that undercooked risotto with 5 shrimp and possible crab would be $31.95. Will I be back? Walked in and it is colorful, cozy, and beautiful. Bright colored like the pictures of homes in Italy. We were sat right away by a kind host. We ordered mocktails, coffee, appetizers, main course, and dessert. Everything was beyond delicious, absolute perfection. The most delicious meal I've ever had within my memory. Our server was super kind and attentive. The quality ingredients is what makes this place shine. My stomach always tells me when I've eaten low quality ingredients, and me and my stomach were very very happy! :) read more
We went there for our very belated Valentine's Day dinner last night. We made a reservation for 6 o'clock. We were seated quickly in a booth upon arrival. The restaurant wasn't busy, so it wasn't loud. We were greeted immediately by our usual Waiter. We ordered the Beet Salad to share. It was nice they plated the beet salad separately. Hubby had his usual Petrale Sole and I had the Pollo Marsala. I was very happy/relieved that our entrees came out perfectly. The last time we were there, the sides were chinsy. Anyhow, hubby was very happy with his sole. My Pollo Marsala was tender and flavorful. The vegetables were perfect - soft but not mushy. The mash potato was a bit on the lumpy side, but it was still tasty. We ordered Crème Brûlée and Limoncello Cake for dessert. The Crème Brûlée was perfect, but the cake was a bit dense (not light like before). The service was very good, but not perfect. The Server forgot my hubby's Espresso order. He apologized and gave us Amaretto shots on the house. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and dining experience. We'll definitely return. read more

This is the 4th visit in a few years. And the food is still missing on so many levels, I had high hopes of better quality of food but not so lucky. Our starters was the fritto misto (calamari), it were obviously reheated because it was not crispy at all so heavy and mushy and saturated in oil, very inedible. And meatballs that didnt taste fresh also reheated. Our main courses were lasagna ( I didn't get a picture of) which I had, and after a couple bites I had to return because, well if you've ever had lasagna you know what the texture is supposed to be, well this wasn't that. Instant mushy like had been frozen and reheated several times the noodles were like a paste. The waiter said it was a few days old..uh ew. Then the "Chef" came out to tell me it was fresh that he drove from Livermore early to make taht it was never frozen. Uh, apparently he wasn't on same page to tell same story with waiter. Husband had the spaghetti costliera (seafood pasta) he said it was "ok". I think he was just hungry. So, if your hungry for good italian, I would not recommend spending money here. They do however, have good drinks. If your only looking to chill, have a drink and hang out, the patio is a nice area. Giving this place 2 stars for drinks and atmosphere. read more

we came by on valentine's day, and we really enjoyed! i booked a reservation in advance on OpenTable because i figured it would be busy, and we were sat right away. the service was great, and our waiter was so accommodating and kind. we got vodka pasta and chicken parm, and both were really yummy and satisfying. my boyfriend really liked the piña colada mocktail! thank you for having us, and we will be back again! read more
Nice restaurant with good service, although the waiter mistaken my daughter's order for mushroom ravioli vs lobster (and my daughter hates mushroom). Yes, it was fixed and she got the lobster which she said was good. My branzino was good as well! The pea sauce was great. Yes, we will come back. Italian restaurants tend to fail in our area, yet this one has been opened for a while, not very ling I think but still in years. Maybe it's the distance that we didn't try to eat here sooner. Yet, I could understand why it still stands. The decor is nice and clean. The ambiance overall is welcoming. read more

This place is outstanding for a real Italian plate. Good salads, and the wood fired pizzas are outta this world! Whether you go here to dine in or take out your plates are just as beautiful We started this time with arancini and if you know a good Italian spot it usually has this on the menu! Truffle Gnocchi I've ordered twice and amazing both times! I'm also a sucker for a good beet salad, ever since I worked for Cheesecake Factory! And theirs is my new favorite! Hubby ordered the Margarita pizza it was also amazing! Quick service and hot and delicious food! Another win! Can't wait to try the other Laconda locations! read more
If I could give 10 stars, I would! I came here when it first opened in 2023(?) and had a great experience. Recently went again for a little family celebration and sat in patio area. This area wasn't open the last time I was here, so sitting outside was a must do! Gosh the patio is so cute and cozy. The set up and decor feels as though you're having lunch in a boujee cutie spot in LA or in Italy (dream trip)! The East Bay needs more places like this. Our waiter was super nice and attentive, water glasses and drinks always refilled, and the food was amaaazing! Three of us split the beet salad, Firenze pizza, and Eggplant parm. The drinks ordered: 2 Aperol spritz (of course) and glass of wine. The wood fired pizza was sooo good! Yellow cherry tomato, pesto, Fiori Di Latte, burrata, peso and red Sicilian Datterino Tomatoes. The whole pizza was VERY tasty. The burrata in the middle of the pizza was perfection. Beet salad was so fresh with the beets, pear slices and goat cheese w/ balsamic drizzle. Highly recommend! I always like to go restaurants if I can a few times. It gives you a chance to see if it's really a place worth recommending especially if the restaurant is fairly new. This is one of those places that every time Ive gone since opening that continues to make me want to come back. I think what makes this place is two fold. For starters the staff is unbelievable from bar backs, to managers. They are funny, super attentive, and pleasant. Next is the consistency with the food. I've yet to have anything I didn't like other than the lavender lemon drop I just had but I think it's because it has been removed from the menu but they wanted to please me and tried to make up one. It's not food anyway nor on the drink list so I was unbothered. I can ALWAYS bring guest here and know that they will have great food and a great experience. I usually choose patio seating because of the cute vibe and lounge type atmosphere. I gave it 4 stars because of the lack of heat. Not sure if that can be fixed but there is always indoor seating. Great place for gatherings. Keep going again and again.... read more

Downtown Brentwood you'll find this little quaint Italian place. Arancini! Although it's an appetizer, I wanted to make it my meal because they were fresh, the cheese still gushing and delicious. The Branzino was flavorful and the service felt like they cared. read more

The back patio isn't overly crowded at lunch time. You can make online reservations and request to eat outdoors in the notes. I'm sure you could also call to make reservations and also request the patio. They definitely get busy on weekend evenings.
