Its been a long time since I had panera bread. I had an unpleasant experience before. I tried it again today probably a couple years since the last visit and it wasnt bad, just not somewhere I'd go out of my way to eat at. Its clean inside with plenty of seating. Staff are nice enough in general, but I ordered online so I didnt interact with anyone this time. My food was ready on the shelf when I arrived. I got a couple half sandwiches and french onion soup. The chicken bacon avocado sandwich was good, but I did not like the soup. Can be pricey also depending on what you get. Overall the food is just ok for me and I just dont see the hype. read more

There is no real customer service presence no matter the location I visit. And, sadly the quality of the food itself is inconsistent. Sometimes you'll get a great salad, other times you'll get gross wilty lettuce and a heavy handed salad dressing amount that ruins the meal. They need to bring back the flatbread pizza and have some type of gluten free bread - so many of us are intolerant and would really appreciate the effort. Now the bathrooms? Always, always dirty - especially the women's. There is no excuse and again this is at every location I've been to across the board. They are just gross. The dining areas need updates and again please can you clean a bit more? Tables and carpets are in need of a good scrub. It's a chain, so not more than 3 stars. Pretty busy here at 10 in the morning. I am member of their SIP club, and was here to get my (almost) free coffee. The quality of the food and coffee here remains satisfying. Their service has gone way downhill, coffee urns are often empty, the half-and-half is often empty and you need to wait a while until it they are refilled. The people who work here seem to be working hard, but they need more staff. The bread here is excellent. As are the pastries, sandwiches and salads. They have gone very high-tech with ordering at these electronic kiosks, and once you get the hang of it, it works out well. You get your food quickly, but the refills on the drinks can take a long time till they get around to refilling the urns and the half-and-half decanter's. read more

I'm definitely a regular at this Panera. Once they start at the SIP club, I came more often, it's very useful to have a nice easy place to get some soda water. For a while, they had a great system where you could order online go ahead and get your glass yourself and just fill it. But I guess that led to many people not actually paying for the strip club, or for the drink, so they stopped at. It has made it a little bit more time-consuming to go in and get an order. They updated the menu about a month ago, and it definitely made some nice changes to it. I do tend to have one of those half-and-half things where you can get a soup and a sandwich or a soup and a salad more often than anything else these days, and I've been happy with the choices. I PRE ordered the breakfast box for Father's Day. They cancelled my order on me and my grandfather 20 minutes BEFORE I picked it up. I don't live in the state so I only see him a few times a year and he ALWAYS looks forward to our time enjoying a Panera breakfast. What's the point of ordering earlier if you run out of food. I have been there twice and both times it has been a very enjoyable experience. Their soups are so wonderful. The sandwiches are also very good. I am not sure I like having to order at a counter and then picking up the food later. It is so hard to stand and look at the choices listed on the wall while someone behind to counter is waiting to enter it in the system. I would prefer a menu to hold to make my choice. I got my meals and the salad seemed really small but I thought maybe it was just the shape of the bowl. When I asked for a to go container for the salad so I could take it home I realized just how small it was. For $12 salad I should not be getting so little. Not today when food costs have gone up so much and eating out is a luxury to a lot of people. I've never ordered this salad before. I got it because I was somewhere where this was the catered salad and I went back for seconds it was so yummy!! My issue is with getting so little. When am I going to start feeling the pain from today's workout? That's my Pain-ETA. This Panera Bread is on Niagara Falls Boulevard at the Boulevard Shops (a large outdoor strip mall, new style, fancy af), and is a pretty fancy (but I said that already) and spacious one with a lot of tables in heaven boots and stuff. I'm not sure why my voice prediction said Heaven Boots, it must be thinking of Barbie dressed up for a scene/date/boba. It's been quiet on the few occasions I came in here probably cuz it's a little bit difficult to get to and not situated right on the road, but it's not bad and their caramel macchiato is decent, if extremely overpriced. It's one of the better locations especially if you want a secluded table for a date or meeting or chat rather than a packed Panera with tons of people close to you. AC is good in here. I'm a Panera member but I think their food is nightmarishly horrible, not just bland but awful. If you love Panera food, we can possibly friends but definitely not dining friends. Not in the sense that you can give recommendations to me, anyway. Sorry. I do appreciate their free self-service water and their free Wi-fi (which is sometimes spotty). Their caramel macchiato is good but I'm not a big fan of anything else. Once upon a double date, about five years back, I tried Panera. I shrugged my shoulders and didn't bother to go back. But this Christmas my aunt gifted us what I assumed was a fine sum on a Panera card. I may have been terribly mistaken. We navigated a lethal parking lot (where everyone thinks they can have it their way) and stepped inside. The lights were dim, and the radio was pumping out any chart topper since the turn of the century. My style may be mildly off kilter, or maybe I've just frequented too many local joints at this point, but I was not a fan of the wall art or particularly placated by the fireplace wedged in. However, atmosphere isn't really my main concern when I walk into a chain restaurant, especially if they offer food to go. It's all about the food, the cost, and how tortured my antisocial soul felt interacting with the people surrounding me. Years ago I had ordered at the register, and while that was still an option, I went for the touch screen kiosks. I hate being that person in line, bumbling through modifications as I try to calculate calories and avoid allergens. I'll admit I'm not the easiest to dine with, but they claimed to let me customize everything: the bread, the toppings, the cheese and condiments. Having had a sandwich for lunch (as part of my continued love affair with bread) I opted to switch up for a sourdough tuna salad. The bread was a sponge-like foccacia, which I had questioned my mate on, chalking it up to my tiredness being daftly uneducated in the world of breads, and the tuna had a vinegar-ish bite to it. I had also specified to swap spinach for field greens, a request that also wasn't granted. Now had it been a human interaction, I wouldn't have gotten upset. People mishear things all the time. But having been on a kiosk, with no receipt to wave in the waiter's face when they came to collect our table tracker, I felt stuck. And hungry, so I ate the uncustomized sandwich recalculating on their open wifi network using their website menu. My mate got a steak arugula sandwich. He noted that had they cut back on the overwhelming greens, there would have been a decent amount of meat to call it an average sandwich. The pickled onion was the saving grace, and would have left the sandwich bland without it. He had better luck with his mac n' cheese, with the perfect ratio of flavorful ingredients to give him a good barbeque ka-pow. He got a piece of ciabatta (I'm not the only one with a bread affair here) and I got a baggie of kettle chips with a crunchy pickle. As a pickle elitist (having grown up canning the garden my grandmother lovingly tended) I was pleasantly surprised, but I'm not going to return based off the sole premise that they have passable pickles. Sure, the sandwiches are a nice sized bite to not have to unhinge your jaw, but my wallet is a bit too slim for these pricey pickings when I, much like the cars in stuck in the lot, cannot have it my way. I still have another meal for two's worth left on the card, so I'll give Panera one more chance to convert me into a believer, but I think I'll stick local going forward. read more

Wow. Well, I had a bad experience a few months ago, but I figured running in for a dozen bagels wouldn't be a problem. You know, since they are a BREAD place and all. Told the girl I didn't care what types, just an assortment--6 sweet, 6 savory. My only request (3 times) was that they were packaged separately. (No one likes French toast and onion) Beard guy was put on the task. First he needed the receipt, to see whatever random bagels the cashier had typed in. She and I both explained that the flavors didn't matter. He followed it to the letter. At the end he asked if I would like the everything bagel packaged separately. Since I had already asked for sweet and savory to be on separate bags, I told him no. Tougher to find a place to eat a vegan breakfast (not Amy's) on a weekend (or even the weekday come to think of it ...) but Panera's always a safe bet for something light (as in bagels and oatmeal). And that's exactly what my family had... minus the oatmeal. Panera makes, IMO, the best bagels in town - it's always fresh and I love how they use real fruit in the blueberry bagels. One thing I want to point out is Panera does try to cater to plant-based eaters. I found a useful page on their website on what herbivores can have (excerpt below). However, it would be more useful if there was a board or menu page separately with said info in the restaurant. I've been here countless times and love the cozy atmosphere. There's a good mix of family; groups of friends or hardworking students from UB scattered throughout the eating area. It's always clean, free wifi and free refill on non specialty drinks if you hang around for a while. Which you'll probably do with the mini fireplace fired up giving it that wonderful touch of inviting coziness during cold winter days! I love Panera Bread. It's my go-to choice when eating out with my daughter. I appreciate the quality ingredients in the food. I've found Panera food to be pretty consistent and reliable across locations, and this one is no different. The green goddess salad is my fave, or if I'm in a Pick-2 combo mood, I'll pair it with turkey chili. This particular location is in the middle of the Target plaza, which can be pretty high-traffic and slammed if you go during prime times. But I've come here to work with a colleague, and if you get there at off times, like 10am or 2pm, you'll have your pick of tables. Panera is pricier compared to other "fast food" options, but Panera isn't entirely fast food anymore. It lives somewhere in between fast and sit-down now. You can order take out or drive through, but when you dine in, you still order at the counter or kiosk, but it's table delivery. I love the app, it lets you order right from your table and have your food brought out to you. A nice perk, plus using the app counts towards your rewards. This particular Panera is closest to home for us, so we'll be back for sure. Whether to work on my laptop or chill with my daughter, Panera is a great place to eat and relax. Or work. I never had a problem with panera bread. Even if you did, they are quick to correct the issue which is great. I like eating here because it makes me feel good about eating out. It's healthier than many options out there. I love their chicken apple salad and chicken strawberry poppyseed salad. I stopped by here around 9pm on a Thursday night to grab a quite bite after a long day of shopping. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout my entire experience. We ordered a large Mac & Cheese and a Full Size Mediterranean Sandwich. Both items was good, but not extraordinary. The mac & cheese while tasty and a good sized portion, was super creamy but not really cheesy at all. It actually wasn't a true yellow/orange colour, but rather a white colour. The Mediterranean Sandwich was tasty but unbelievably acidic. After eating just one half, my tongue started to feel sore. I do like the system they have set up for takeout orders, since I had my Panera Card with me, they scanned it and my name automatically went up the the takeout counter's TV Screen, showing my place in line. Today was the best experience I have ever had at this location. I ordered online, which is very easy to do (plus you can rack up rewards!) and my order got here pretty quickly. The delivery guy was SUPER friendly and informative! I was very impressed. He gave me tons of coupons to give to myself and my coworkers for $10 off our next delivery. I got a take 2... I tried a different salad this time, slightly different than my usual. It was good, but it could have used a little more dressing. My sandwich tasted very healthy, which was what I was going for, and I love that they give you a baguette (or other type bread) with essentially every meal. I had one really bad experience where they really screwed up our online order, twice in the same day. They ended up refunding our entire meal. What can I say about Panera Bread? It's like every other Panera bread. The Niagara falls Blvd location is especially busy on a Friday at lunch hour. It's good when you want something quick and healthy. I feel like ordering always takes forever because they have so many questions. Do you have a rewards card? Do you want to use your 99 cent bakery item reward? What side do your want with that? I love the broccoli cheddar soup.
