The steak was flavored perfectly, nice and tender, no fat or grizzle, was a generous portion and was served on soft roll. I'd give the fries that came with it an 'ok'. My husband got some sort of wrap (sorry, no details). There was also a cheeseburger and another sandwich of some sort. Lol sorry for the lack of details on them all. Food was overall pretty good. The service was a bit 'off'. Examples, there was a sign in the entrance saying they had happy hour special daily. We asked about them & were told. 'Nope, we don't'. No explanation. I work very close to this restaurant so I occasionally come here for a chicken salad sandwich and a bowl of tomato soup. I get that because it's the fastest thing I can get on a 30 minute lunch break. The service is fast and the server always remembers me. I like sitting at the bar because it's quick and comfortable seating. I'm always satisfied with the whole experience when I leave. read more

Perhaps not a full review but wanted to add it. I attended a seminar this evening held here and the food was complimentary. The place is clean with ample plaza parking. The room was set nicely with linen, rolled napkins and water glasses. Our choice was a personal pizza, turkey club wrap or cranberry walnut salad on croissant. I was pleased to see all three selections at our table. I chose the wrap which had turkey, bacon, cheddar, jack and a garlic mayonnaise. It had the right flavor balance and was delicious. The croissant looked great and both were served with a nice pasta salad. The pizza was hot with a little crisp. The waitress kept the water filled and offered other beverages as well. I had a 7 inch personal pan pizza with caramelized onions. It was delicious. The pizzas are all "build your own". On the 7 inch pizza, most of the many topping choices are $1.25. There are 20-25 choices including onions, caramelized onions, black olives, hot peppers, mushrooms, sweet peppers, jalapeño peppers. The service was very fast, with our waitress stopping to ask how our pizzas tasted. We're celebrating our dear friend's belated birthday, and quite frankly our unbirthdays too, because we want an excuse to spend time together and eat good food. Unfortunately, most of the town seems to be closed on Mondays, so we went with plan C. Maybe I should say fortunately, as I was pleasantly surprised. I've been in this plaza plenty of times, and came in once before with someone who didn't like their food. He's entitled to his opinion, but I think they were worth a second chance. I waited in the vestibule with my friend and we immediately got a TARDIS feel as we walked in. Definitely bigger on the inside than you'd guess. A nice gent took our drink orders (they swing Coke, for the record) and gave us time to look over the expansive menu. We all got the pizza bread to split. None of us touched the sauces, partly due to my nut allergy (it's in a container, so no worries), but partly due to the fact that it tastes good without it. I used mine to sop up the soup from my bowl. Believe the reviews, that tomato basil soup is what that first impression should of been, what would have brought me back sooner. Creamy, with strands of cheese and homemade croutons that had soaked in enough cream to make you feel like you are eating pizza with a spoon. I'm not even a tomato soup person, and there I was, sopping away as the table looked on in envy. Two of my pals got burgers. They're tall, and juicy to a point of soaking the bottom bun. One removed her tomatoes and flipped it to solve the problem. The other used a fork. Whatever works, as both happily cleared their plates. My other pal got loaded fries. The serving is generous and she had to pack it to go. The waiter had the sense to ask about separate bills and the patience to accept our stack of pooled cash as we giggled out the door. Overall, it's a good place to have a girls night, guys night, an order that soup to go because it's that good night...just bring your own napkins. You have one cloth one to make your way through the meal, and if you're anything like us, you feel guilty as you stain them with the remnants of food well enjoyed. read more

I recently attended a bridal shower at My Tomato Pie. I have never been to the new location, but was very pleased that there was lots of available parking and the space was lovely. Our server was wonderful, and very polite. I must rave about my menu selection: Cranberry walnut chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. This is now my new favorite sandwich! This sandwich is amazingly delicious and so fresh. I have never had a better croissant, not even in Paris! Visited for lunch today with some coworkers. The service was a little slow today but not terrible. It's been a couple months since we came for lunch so I forgot how big the menu is. 3 of us opted for the steak wrap and the tomato basil soup and my boss opted for the meatball calzone. The soup was incredible - absolutely delicious - and I'd order that every single time I come here. The steak wrap was just okay. A bit too heavy and greasy and it was more like a Philly cheese steak wrap than an actual steak wrap. The pasta salad was pretty good but a little dry. My boss said his calzone was pretty good but could be a little crispier. Overall, everything was decent but the real winner with the soup. read more

Visited My Tomato Pie on Tuesday night. The best part of the experience was the staff. I had a portobello steak sandwich which was disappointing for $28.00. The steak, nor the spinach was seasoned, and the fries were under cooked. We also ordered a portobello calzone which was lacking portobello mushrooms. For some reason, it had a lot of cut up red peppers in it, but the portobello mushrooms were also cut the same size and there were barely any. My daughter ordered the chicken parm. The portion of chicken was small considering the size of a pounded out chicken breast, and the spaghetti was lacking sauce. The atmosphere was very nice. The wait staff was great, but the food was subpar. Possibly they are known for other foods and we were just not aware. I would not recommend the restaurant if you're going for items that I mentioned. From the outside, My Tomato Pie looks like a small pizza place you might run into to grab a slice and go, however the inside is a massive dining room that's nice on the eyes with a friendly staff and large menu featuring all the pizza, calzones, subs, salads, and appetizers you could possibly want. I came here for lunch on Friday with a friend and although I've eaten the food from here before, this was my first time actually dining with them. I had a craving I couldn't fight and I had to order the meatball calzone with that beautiful red sauce. The food didn't take too long to come out and when it did I was pleasantly surprised with both the size and taste of the calzone. The meatball inside was delicious and they packed it with cheese. The dough was just the right amount of soft and although I definitely could of had more red sauce, it was a darn good calzone. Overall, My Tomato Pie did me good and left both of us fat and full.
