Adequate for a Panera bread. After reading the reviews I was a little worried. I've seen cleaner restaurants but I've also seen worse. The town itself seems like a dump so I'm not quite sure what some of the other reviews were expecting. I got the Greek salad and tomato sandwich combo and also a cup of tomato soup. The bread was a bit chewy but that's my only complaint. The sandwich had a lot of arugula which was nice, and the salad had a good amount of topping and dressing. Soup seemed a bit old. But it's also June. If you need a vegetarian meal in the area this is a safe bet. read more

I visit Panera all the time. In Maryland it's my favorite place to go. Although, here in Dover they are very pleasant; I constantly have to go back inside because they forget to give me something. I ask for 2 extra dressings and today they gave me one full one and one with almost nothing inside of the cup so I guess they kinda got it right but still..... come on. I don't want to have to come back inside to ask for something that you were supposed to give me every time I come through the drive through. It's just a dressing. Like it's small but it matters to me. Other than that they are great food always good. But dang it I want my extra dressing. read more

I would give zero stars if I could, I waited 45 minutes on a curbside order and when I went in to ask about it I was treated very poorly and with disrespect. Management was very lousy and lazy and made me make my own drinks since I was "complaining" about my wait time. I won't eat here EVER again. read more

If you are eating here between the hours of eight and nine, beware the mad sweeper. She will come and sweep the floor around your table until you leave. Otherwise the food was really great, and luckily they don't charge for the extra dust from the floor. read more

Imagine looking up at the night time sky. And it was completely dark. No stars can be seen in any direction. Black. But alas, you turn around and notice one star. Glimmering brightly. If the sky represents Aberdeen, then that one star must be Panera bread because there isn't much of anything else worth going here for. The Panera itself is uneventful. Exactly what you would want and expect. Prices I think are a little more than typical fast food, but the wait is quick and the quality is a step higher. The staff is always nice. And there is free internet if that's your thing. read more

One day, a few months back, I went to this Panera location for my favorite - creamy chicken and wild rice soup. The cashier was rather friendly. I paid for my soup and waited at the counter. Unfortunately, though, they had run out of that particular soup that day, and the cashier didn't know it. She felt really bad, offering me another type of soup. I thanked her, and said it was ok but that I'd just take a refund instead. I wasn't mad or anything. She kept apologizing, and I told her it was ok, no big deal, mistakes happen. As I was about to walk out, she actually offered me a free brownie. I thought it was really sweet of her. It's that kind of customer service that will keep people coming back! read more

Poor service and the staff doesn't know the basics they couldn't even toast a bagel properly. The bagel tasted old and was dry. Very disappointed and I left a tip before I got my food. Pass this place by and pick something else read more

Today I tried something new, The Smokehouse Turkey®. Which is described as: Smoked turkey breast, smoked bacon, smoked cheddar & sun-dried tomato ale mustard grilled hot on our Artisan Three Cheese bread. I normally always have the Chicken Noodle in a bread bowl, but I needed to change things up. I enjoyed the sandwich but I really don't like mustard so the flavor of the Sun-dried tomato ale mustard threw me a little. Not that it was super strong, but I could taste that mustard "tang" on the back end. Otherwise this sandwich was quite good. A good helping of meat, excellent bacon and the bread was very good. read more

"Food as it should be" is the motto of this business. I guess that means BBQ chicken mac and cheese served cold. When my son took it back to the counter the man pointed to the microwave by the front door and told him to go warm it up. Seriously? You serve undercooked food and it is the responsibility of the customer to make sure it is edible?? Management's response was significantly delayed (after she initially tried to defend the cook's actions) and completely unsatisfactory. There is no excuse for undercooked food and asking the customer to fix it is completely unacceptable. read more

As a frequent go'er to this establishment I owe it to them for being very consistent and quick. However, the place deserves a 3.5 as the food itself is mediocre, but definitely not the worst I have had in the area of Aberdeen. I feel that there are times that things could be better, and with the newer establishments popping up in Aberdeen, we will just have to see if this place will still remain as a top choice for lunch. read more

Thanks to http://www.veganeatingout.com/panera-bread-menu/ I have discovered my favorite menu item: Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich (without Feta Cheese) and a Classic Cafe Salad with pepperchinis. The Tomato Basil Bread has honey on it, but you could choose a different one if that bothers you. Also, I add one of those ketchup-sized Tabasco sauces to it. I want to try their Black Bean Soup soup, but I don't want to learn that it is made by either adding hot water or by defrosting a plastic bag. There is still a lunch time rush, which is unlikely to change. The staff is friendly, so it's not an unpleasant wait. Since they are busy, it is especially important to check that your order is correct before you leave! The seating is very comfortable, kindof like putting a bunch of tables and chairs in your living room and inviting strangers over to eat and drop food on the floor. I haven't been to any other Panera Bread, so I can't compare this place to another. Even if it is one of the better places to eat in the area, it's not five stars. read more

Food is, of course, comparable to any other Panera Bread you may have been to. So it's good and made fresh. I gave this location 3 stars, however, because it's always just a little more hectic and chaotic than other locations I've been to. Sometimes the line stretches to the door. (WTH) we looked at the employee & she said nothing (giggled) my wife asked her to say something "at least make him step back & take ur arms & face from over the glsss... I am SO frustrated with this specific Panera store. I like to customize my orders to maximize the value of the food I order. That being said, especially when ordering via the mobile app (where everything is literally written out) and customizing, how is it that this store consistently messes up my order?!?! EVERY TIME!!! One of the few times my husband or I called (instead of dealing with things going wrong, which is our usual course of action...) the manager's reply to the various things that were wrong with the order was "Sorry sir. The kids try their best. Maybe you should reconsider your future orders and not make them so complicated." --Or maybe you could teach them to read and follow directions or train them better? I know it's not rocket science, but: it's not rocket science! FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!!! Get your managers' acts together and conduct some proper training. read more

The food here is predictably good, since they are part of a nationwide chain. It gets crazy busy around 11:30 am during the week and really hard to secure a table. There is one particular employee here who is a little brash and can be rude. I assume he's either an assistant manager or part of management. They keep the restaurant pretty clean and organized and the staff are willing to help with any food requests you may have. read more

Every time I order from Panera lately they get something wrong, but today is the worst experience yet. I will NOT use this one in the future. I was having food delivered and they were out of something--after I ordered it--it still shows available on their online menu, and instead of contacting me directly they had the Door Dash driver do it. Door Dash is outstanding, but a Panera never should have put them in this position and should have contacted me themselves. Horrible service. read more

Food at Panera Bread is predictably good, which is great because there's not much better in the area when you're just wanting something quick without subjecting yourself to the likes of McD's or Taco Bell. Friendly staff, clean environment, good atmosphere. What is there not to like? I'll tell you: the soda fountain area is simply too small, causing no end of bumping and waiting as people fix their tea just so. If you happen to hit the lunch rush hour, the drink line experience is a lesson in patience. As there no room for proper queuing, a mob forms as people with food try to wade through the mass of humanity standing there with empty cup in hand. Good thing there are usually police eating there too, as I am tempted to hurt those inconsiderate apes who stand there sipping their tea as they squeeze the lemon once (sip), no... Two times (sip)... Then add sugar (sip)... Then add a little more sugar (sip) "Ooh... Too much!" Then dump a little out and add unsweetened tea to fill it back up (sip)... Then fumble for the lid and a straw... Then look at you and smile weakly with expectation that you'll move for them as they wade through the "line" they've created. All that so the next inconsiderate ape can do the same. read more

A typical Panera, to be sure. The one thing that I love is that by the time I walk from the register over to the pick-up counter, my food is usually ready! Besides their speedy service, it's a nice location, the seating is well designed (has a quiet corner if you want to get away from any kids inside), and the prices are average (a bit pricey, but hey, it's Panera! The food rocks!). The only down side of it is that I can spent hours in there, chatting with friends and refilling my drink. Is that a down side? Well, it is if you have chores to do! read more

I like Panera's menu in general, but on my last visit I decided to try their Pick 2 pairing of French onion soup and the turkey kale panini. Sadly, neither item was well executed. The croutons in the soup were soggy from bite one, as if they'd been simmering in the soup before it was served. The panini bread was soggy and floppy as well. There were two bites of turkey. The kale was bitter, not caramelized. On the whole, truly disappointing. Not what I expect from Panera. read more

*Prelude* Unfortunately, my wife is addicted to Panera Bread's Fugi Salad...no pecans and absolutely no apple chips. You guys make my life and the lives of every unknowing spouse VERY difficult when ya don't pay attention to detail. I mean come ONNNNNN....Ugh. Ordered "the" salad....told them to remove two simple ingredients. I was sweating and pacing (clearly a sign that my life depended on their accuracy) Number was called and noticed the ingredients that I asked to be removed were not. (no worries...close call...whew) Politely returned "the" salad. The workers enthusiastically offered to fix their shameful mistake and LITERALLY one minute after returning "the" botched salad, my number was called again. Yay! Sadly, I should have known that their speed was the swift and vigilante warning of the cosmos. Impressed with the quick turn around, and the fact that I hadn't fucked up as I always do, I happily skipped home whistling. But to my horror, "she" began screaming at me about "the" salad as soon as she saw it. Jesus. I really have a hard time rating this Panera. Sometimes I have been there, like last week, the food and the service has been fine. Other times, the service was so bad, that I've had to write the company. (Once, when they put the bagels through the slicer, it didn't even slice most of them. I am a huge fan of Panera Bread. The location is a bit frustrating with the parking but the food soothes my frustrations. I had the Pick 2- chicken and wild rice soup with the chipotle chicken panini....Yum!!! I love the freshness of the food...the bread was freshly made and warm and the soup thick and creamy.
