I called to get directions, and the person I spoke with couldn't tell me how to get to the store, couldn't tell me the street address, and told me the wrong exit to take off of the freeway. Once we arrived, the fabric selection was small and poor, the samples were adequate at best, and the employees told me 'smile, it can't be that bad,' very condescending and sexist. Things were exactly that bad, and I've never heard a man be told to smile. I would only stop here again if they're included on the Quilt Safari, but I don't think they should be. It was a waste of time and money to go there.

I moved to Eugene and was thinking wouldn't it be great if Eugene had such a place, and lo and behold, MECCA! It's like Seattle ReCreative but 10+ times larger! Paint, canvas, paper, folios, yarn, fabric remnants, yogurt tubs, wine bottles, plant pots, scrapbook papers, so much fun stuff to get you thinking creativity on a budget. My only suggestion is they might find a way to fill in the huge puddle right in front of their door, and that they somehow get more parking spaces!

Let us browse, but checked in with us whenever she got a break from the register. The layout of the store is very thoughtful and efficient. With nice groupings of seasonal fabrics and projects, as well as color and coordinate fabrics organized to make fabric selection easy. Once we selected our base fabric it took us 10 minutes tops to find our compliments.
