Pork chop, my sister was shaking the table to cut
    leul T.

I hate to put bad reviews but ooh boy... We came to Pandora on the Square for Mother's Day with an 8:15 PM reservation and arrived on time, but we weren't seated until around 9:00 PM. After being seated, our food didn't arrive until close to 10:00 PM, and during that time there was little to no communication or updates from staff about the kitchen delays or the status of our order. Ambiance thought it'd be upscale, dimmer, intimate dinner vibes but it wasn't it was so loud with music and convos couldn't hear our table talk. To be fair, not everything was bad. The appetizers were a strong start--especially the cornbread muffins, which were excellent. The smoked Old Fashioned was also the standout drink of the night. Unfortunately, the entrées and overall execution fell far below expectations, especially for a $400+ dinner. The pork chop was dry, the fish lacked flavor, several plates arrived cold (including the vegetables), and the filet mignon we ordered for our mom had an off smell to the point we had to call the waiter and send it back. The Espresso Martini, Hibiscus Vale, and Gullah Island cocktails were also disappointing and tasted weak in both flavor and alcohol presence. To management's credit, they did offer to remake the food and took 15% off the bill. We appreciated the effort, but by that point--after the long delays, lack of communication, and multiple food issues--we were honestly ready to leave. Mother's Day should have felt special. Instead, it felt frustrating and disappointing. I hope management works on kitchen consistency, communication, and timing moving forward.

    Flounder - yummy!

Our group had a birthday brunch and stayed until dinner. We ALL enjoyed our food. Sister and I shared lamb shank. SO GOOD! That flounder??? Damn, a perfect crust in the fish. Caesar salad, fried green tomatoes, Lamb chops and veggie bowl was fantastic too! Great portion sizes, you could share. This is a great date spot. It's clean, romantic, and the service was great. Thank you Nyla! Try this place!

Splendid dining experience! I met a friend here for lunch, and we truly enjoyed ourselves from start to finish. Amanda delivered top-tier service--warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The upscale décor immediately sets the tone, and the food was on point. I ordered the Gullah bacon burger paired with truffle fries, which were perfectly seasoned and satisfying. My friend went with the Pandora wings and truffle fries and was equally pleased. Amanda also took the time to share details about an upcoming live music performance, which was a nice touch. Street parking right in front of the restaurant was easy to find and very affordable at just $1 per hour via the meter. I'll definitely be back--both for another great meal and to check out the live music.

McDonough Squares newest restaurant and only fine dining experience. Food outstanding, sophisticated decor and most importantly top notch service. I have been living in McDonough for over 15 years and this was a much needed restaurant. No one wants to drive all the way into the city to experience fine dining, I want to be able to support my local community and local business owners. We started with appetizers, the fried oysters were my favorite. Served piping hot. My only complaint is there wasn't enough of them. For our main dishes we ordered Lamb chops which was served whipped sweet potatoes and asparagus and redfish. Both were delicious and served piping hot. We ordered dessert as well but it isnt pictured as it was to go. This is fine dining and be prepared to spend, but it was worth every dollar. I highly recommend this restaurant and will return. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a full service bar. There is parking in the square. This restaurant will be Perfect for a date night or a special occasion or even for a regular night out on the town.

TLDR: Great upscale restaurant option for meat eaters, vegetarians will most likely be disappointed. Went with a friend on a Thursday evening. I made a reservation via OpenTable and the day of the reservation, someone from the restaurant called me to confirm I was still coming. That was a nice touch. We were promptly greeted upon entrance. However, finding our reservation seemed to be a challenge. Nonetheless, eventually we were seated. Our server Amanda was excellent! The music was not great though, sounded like techno music all evening. I was hoping more for jazz or something. I used the women's restroom; it was spotless and pretty. Cocktails: My friend ordered a Peach & Flame cocktail. Unfortunately, when it was delivered to the table, it did not have a charred peach, instead it had a huge sprig of rosemary. The server made no mention of it. I asked whether there was supposed to be a peach and was then informed that they are out. My friend should have been notified of that because the torched peach is a major part of it. Overall, she liked the drink but hated the rosemary. - B+ I ordered the Geechie Punch with a replacement for the almond liqueur. It was tasty but not strong at all. - B- Appetizers: My friend ordered the Prawns & Cornbread, she loved it. - A I ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes with no bacon. They were cooked well but under seasoned. The creamed corn was delicious though. - B Entrees: My friend ordered the Shrimp & Grits. She mentioned that the gravy was superb and she truly enjoyed the dish. - A I ordered the Truffle Mushroom Campanelli. It was under seasoned and had the tiniest fewest slithers of mushrooms and spinach, it was comical. - C+ Dessert: I ordered the Salted Caramel Creme Brulé. It was tiny yet scrumptious. - A Overall, this place is worth the experience, and I will always try to support a Black owned business. However, as a vegetarian, I more than likely will not return.

This is a nice restaurant to come to and relax ans they have music playing in background. The food is very good and everything is seasoned well. Upon arriving everyone has been nice greeting us and our waitress was kind and helpful with any questions we had about the menu.

Dinner at Pandora on the Square was an absolute treat. What a beautiful spot. Well done! Chef JR is doing Atlanta proud down in McDonough. I had the grouper special and they gave me the thickest, juiciest hunk of fish I've ever seen. It was like the king of the sea. We kicked things off with prawns and scallops because we had to do all the things pescatarian, obviously. Add this to your list before someone gatekeeps it.

Took my Big Sis here for birthday and the Brunch was delicious. I wish that they would have had more Protein options other than back go the side dishes. I tried the Pandora Wings with The Bourbon Vanilla French Toast. The Wings were crispy and I loved the Gullah Sauce that it was tossed with. My sister had the Bourbon Vanilla French Toast with a side of Candied Bacon and she loved it. The drinks were strong and on point. We met one of the Owners she gave us a tour of their upstairs Private Dining space and she was an absolute delight. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying dinner very soon!!!

My friends and I had our annual Holiday dinner at Pandora On The Square. From the time our feet crossed the threshold our experience was exceptional. The holiday decor was absolutely stunning. The service was impeccable and the food was top notch! The only downside is if you are a soda drinker, be mindful of receiving refills as it will cost you. Other than that this place will make you feel like royalty!

Pandora is a great asset to the McDonough Square. The restaurant definitely brings a sense of elegance and exclusivity which to me makes the experience better. The lambs chops were *chefs kiss* delicious. Our server was so sweet and professional. The chef actually came to our table to make sure we were enjoying our experience. I did notice that the staff made efforts to ensure everyone was comfortable, the space was clean and the overall service experience was great. I'm excited to see what's to come with this restaurant and can't wait to visit again. If you are ever in the area and want to try something different for date night or just for dinner here's your place.

What a nice restaurant! The music, muted tones, the lighting creates a very relaxing atmosphere. The food was excellent. EVERYTHING we ordered tasted so good!! The tall man, greeter at the door, was very friendly and open as I watched him from my table. He was very nice to us when we walked in as well. We did sit for approximately 12 mins before Chef Carlos(I believe that's the name. It was his bday this night) saw us and asked if we had been helped. We said no. He took our appetizers order. He was very gracious and found a server for us. She introduced herself but then she never came back. Another gentleman saw this and he wasn't happy. He took our order and got a new server. Her name was Alex. She was attentive and polite. There was a singer as well! Such a nice vibe! The appetizer, Pandora wings, was excellent however we we were not charged for it. To be fair it was very busy. So, I guess we kinda got lost in the shuffle. HOWEVER, I will say they did everything to make everything right. They were attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The bathroom was beautiful. Very clean and stocked. I am definitely coming back. My cousin said she'll come back with her date. It's a Great spot.

French toast..... minus the chicken that came out 20 minutes later
    Wendell S.

For starters, it looks and showed before we arrived that they were closed til 5pm so I called and let the staff know and was completely slighted. So upon arrival the ambience and the aesthetics were 10/10 I can honestly say a great amount of detail but that's where the good stuff ends... so we placed our order all together I had French toast and added chicken, one of my friends had a veggie plate and grits and the other had grits and chicken and waffles, 30 minutes after placing that sed order the veggie plate comes out and that's fine but the time between it coming out and my French toast coming out was far in between around 30-45 minutes later and my Chicken wasn't brought out so I waited another 20 minutes til it came and it was supposed to be a chicken breast or wings instead.... And I was befuddled when it did arrive it was a burnt leg quarter.... And it was small to say the least and it's $8-11 for that sad piece of chicken .. so the grits finally come out after that nothing to spectacular there either... so almost 2 hours from when we came in the chicken and waffles finally come out at that point we were already leaving and my friend told the waiter to take it back it's ok she didn't want it but they insisted on her taking it free of charge.... When it came out it was cut in half and still looked raw and she also was given a leg quarter.... I really had high hopes for this place but as I checked their social media and other reviews they care more for appearance than quality and that's one way to lose anyone as a customer.. I hope they get it together because that's a prime area but it can be grand opening grand closing... the fact that it's two chefs name on that door was disheartening knowing that's what they would consider edible..... 1/10

Very nice restaurant! The food was delicious but our server kind of forgot about us. The waiter assistant saved the day and turned our experience around! Disclaimer on the Lobster Pasta: be aware before you order that you have to work for this one! The shrimp still has the tail, the lobster is still attached to the shell, the mussels are attached to the shell & you have to crack all the crab legs (not ideal for a fancy date nite). We'll definitely become regulars so we can try everything else on the menu! Sorry, I forgot to take a pic of the drink menu but their wine is about $12 a glass and cocktails are about $15-17

Our server was great (she remembered our family even after 5 years (connected the dots to us)), but the rest of the employees and the community within the restaurant felt a bit stuffy. They used to have the best coffee. It is still good now, but something changed (not quite as good). Their pancakes are unfortunately rubbery, but contrastively, they have great bacon; crisp with a bit of fat, that's how we like it. Their hash browns have not changed one bit. They are still crispy!! Some stuff has changed in the atmosphere of the restaurant. They generally have the same theme, but some of the signs have changed. If you get lucky, you may get to eat your food with Shaquille O'Neal in the restaurant! He lives in the area, and comes in every now and then to get some food and pay for everybody's meal. Welcome back to the table…read more I find that most people dismiss rotisserie chicken as "basic," but finding one that is actually seasoned through to the bone is harder than it should be. I stopped by the Cowboy Chicken in McDonough looking for something reliable, and it delivered that specific, wood-fired comfort that's hard to replicate at home. The vibe is laid-back and rustic exactly what you'd expect from a spot centered around an open flame. The Spread We didn't hold back on the order, covering everything from the signature rotisserie to the brisket and bowls. The Signature Chicken: They use a dry rub and slow-roast the meat over real wood. The result is a juicy, tender interior with skin that carries a slight, salty crispness. What stood out most was the flavor penetration; the seasoning wasn't just sitting on the surface. Unlike many rotisserie spots where the center feels neglected or underdone, this was consistent throughout. It holds its own without needing sauce. The Sides: The Spanish Rice surprised me. Fluffy, well-seasoned, shelly in texture, and the addition of corn gave it a nice sweetness. The Mac and Cheese was a bit of a curveball; it's more on the liquid, saucy side, but the flavor builds on you the more you eat. The fries were perfect and held a solid crisp even after sitting for a bit. We ended up getting a second basket of Fries because the crunch held up beautifully, even as they cooled down. The Coleslaw will be a hit or miss for some, we had mixed reviews. The shredded cabbage was thicker than normal but the other half of the table it was perfect. Tinga Bowl ($14.00): If you want something that feels a bit lighter but still packs a punch, this is it. The shredded chicken has a balanced kick, paired with corn relish, black beans, and a sprinkle of "Cowboy Dust" for heat. It's refreshing but filling. Layered with rice, beans, corn relish, avocado, crema it all balances out. Not heavy, but still satisfying. Brisket Sandwich (13.75: The bread was lightly toasted, cradling pulled brisket that was smoky and not juicy because we needed sauce for it but the flavor was there. Crispy Tenders ($13.25): These were a table favorite. They nailed the external crunch without sacrificing the moisture of the chicken inside.Crunch on the outside, seasoned all the way through, and still tender inside. The Sweet Finish I'm officially a fan of their Texas Peach Cobbler. It leans more cake-like than soupy, which I prefer. It tasted fresh, warm and held its structure, making it a solid closer for a heavy meal. Service & Value The moment we walked in, the staff offered a genuine verbal welcome. The service was efficient, and the restaurant maintained a clean, organized look despite the steady flow of customers. At roughly $14-$15 for a plate with two sides and a roll, the portion size makes the pricing very reasonable for the quality you're getting. Table Approved This is the spot for a high-quality, fuss-free family dinner or a solo lunch when you're craving real wood-fired flavor without the fast food aftertaste. It's dependable, flavorful, and worth a visit for the chicken alone. Follow along where food meets adventure - Shallonz Table.
