The service was just ok. And the free tea was a nice touch. But everything else is awful. Though not a "sit down and order" restaurant there are perhaps 10-12 tables to sit down and eat. All but two were dirty. So was the bathroom. And frankly they weren't that busy. My wife - who spent a year in China and LOVES Chinese food couldn't finish her pepper steak which was bland, gristly, and had fibrous strands in it. Mine was a little better but, given the filthiness of the place it's a wonder we all didn't get sick. read more

I am so close to suing these people ... I have put in a complaint to the state and hopefully they can reach an agreement before then in the meantime ....i think Chef Gordon Ramsey needs to evaluate this companys kitchen as they are serving old food .. food from the night or who knows (NIGHTS) before.. leftover food at that .. I have paid over $50 for 3 orders and all were terribly gross so unacceptable as a hard working man I spend the little money I do have after paying bills to spend the little money I do have on leftovers .. this is totally unacceptable the orders were general Taos chicken w vegetable rice , grilled chicken and broccoli combo plate and also pork fried rice and fried chicken wings plate, the crab ragoon tasted rotten .. this is unlikely for me to have come here and leave a yelp review but here I am ... unacceptable DO NOT EAT HERE AT PANDA HIBACHI IN DUNCAN SOUTH CAROLINA IN THE PUBLIX PLAZA NEXT DOOR TO PUBLIX a grocery store which gets me because why isn't your food fresh and a grocery store is literally your next door neighbor ... just boggles my mind ... but to anywho ths concerns I will be bringing this up to the board .. Simple Chinese food. We have been there 3 time The wonton soup is better than other restaurants; the broth is clear not excessively dark with soy sauce. The chicken lo mein and kungpao chicken were acceptable. My husband liked his General Tsos Chicken I did not like the bland fried rice that accompanies the dinners, maybe they do a better job if you order it separately. Yes the owner or cook speaks loudly and roughly, but I think it is his Cantonese and that is the way he talks. read more

Recognize what this is and I think it'll be a good experience. It really fills the niche of cheap Asian takeout where you get an obscene amount of food for a questionably low price. We've gone here for years without a bad experience. My preference is to get the tofu and then cook up a bunch of fresh vegetables at home. I just had the worst cashew chicken ever!! To start with they made it with peanuts instead of cashews. The meat was dried up obviously reused chicken. I ate the rice and picked out the vegetables. Will never order this again. read more

I overlooked some of the negative reviews about the service and thought I'd give this place a try. I ordered online and received an email confirmation that it would be ready in 15 minutes. 15 minutes later, I told the lady at the counter that I had an online order. She asked what I ordered, and I recited it to her. She then came back and asked if I ordered something else, which I did not. This happened once more until she finally asked me my name. She then said they have no record of my order and asked if I would like to place it now. Thankfully, I was paying in cash, so I just left. I can't comment on the food, but the other reviews about subpar service seem to be pretty accurate. read more

I actually enjoy the food here. It seems that the restaurant actually puts effort in their recipes. Speed of service is fair. Only complaint is that the meat tastes a bit dry. Definitely worth a try! read more

This place has good food and they're pretty consistent. Their one main issue is their customer service... they're the worst especially, on the phone. They're very short with you, cut you off when your speaking and never give you the total or review your order so you know it's right. I don't think they mean to be rude, but I dread calling them. This is a family-run establishment and it just feels like they don't like you and they're bothered by being there. Perhaps the fact that their children work there has something to do with that, but the parents aren't much nicer. read more

me and my coworkers ordered lunch from here food was picked up when we all sat down to eat one of my coworkers found a hair in the food looked like a pubic hair took the food back and they started to yell at them like it was our fault that hair was in the food and police were called and they took our money and did not refund are money i say dont look at this place will end up bad. read more

Agree with Pate. Customer service is horrible. Husband has anger issues and spent most of the time yelling at the rest of the family while I was in there eating my $15 of half-assed food. I finally had to get up and yell at the father to shut the hell up while I was eating. I'll never go back. Avoid at all costs. read more

After working 12 hours, I knew I did not want to cook when I got home. My husband wanted bourbon chicken. So, I order his food the way I always do, bourbon chicken with lo mein with no vegetables. I get home with the food and I have what they are trying to pass off as bourbon chicken with white rice. I call to tell them my order was wrong. The girl tells me to bring it back and they will SEE if they can fix it. I live 15 minutes away. When I pull up, they are on their way to their car and had already closed the restaurant. I stop two of them. The girl tells me she did not charge me for the lo mein so it is okay and she insisted the chicken I had was indeed bourbon chicken, they do not have to fix it. I let her know she does have to fix it because I ordered the food the way I wanted it and I paid for it the way I wanted it. She tells me they will fix it but I have to pay $1.89 for the noodles. Fine. So, we go into the restaurant and the guys fixes the noodles with vegetables. I told him that is not how I ordered it. Again, I ordered it with no vegetables. He gets mad. He started yelling at me. I told him to just give me my money back. When he started yelling call the police, I started yelling back. I told him, you are in here yell at me, I did not mess my order up the girl did. Through all of this, I was able to regain my composure and talk to the girl. She was a little apologetic but her excuse for him was that they were tired because they worked 12 hours and were already closed when I got there, he was just upset and does not know how to communicate well. I do not care about any of that. I had just worked 12 hours and was tired and had to get dressed to bring this food back because my order was wrong and still I did not come in here with an attitude. The point is, their customer service sucks. He did eventually get the noodle right, but we are not eating that. There is no telling what he did to them. I WILL NEVER, EVER GO BACK AGAIN!!!!! My advice to anyone reading this is to stay as far away from this place as possible. I have never been treated this way. read more
