I always love the service when I go. The staff are always super friendly and the food is cooked pretty fast. The prices are good as well. There is plenty of seating and food choices. First time visiting was January (2026) few days after my bday. Ordered: vegetable fried rice, chicken wings, egg rolls and vegetable Lo Mein. Vegetable fried rice (didn't like at all) Egg roll (wasn't bad give good) Vegetable Lo Mein (reminds me of the Chinese restaurant in Chicago) gives it a 8 out of 10. I ordered my meal in the restaurant. The food was cold. I ordered Chicken and cashew. Half of the plate was cold fried rice and the other half was a pile of mostly diced celery and carrots with a few slices of mushroom. There may have been 7 or 8 small pieces of chicken. This is my favorite place for quick Chinese takeout. I always get the beef lo mein and the crab rangoons, and each time they have both been delicious! The service is always polite and fast, and the portions are pretty large for the price--I always get at least two meals out of a quart of the lo mein. Don't let the creative name fool you, this place is the closest thing you'll find to big city Chinese takeout in Greenville (so far). Everything from the authentically not-chinese chicken wings with fried rice, their house lo mein and their generals tso's to takeout that has you waiting anyway. After my favorite nearby place closed a few weeks ago I was forced to find a new place. I found China restaurant, and took a trip over for lunch. I have since been back a handful of times, each time ordering cashew chicken (my go-to dish) and a cup of soup. Normally I have the egg drop soup, but during my last visit tried the wonton soup. The food has been delicious each time! Having said that, the drive over, and the maneuvering across Woodruff Road around lunchtime is a nightmare. We been going to china for over a year now and never really had any issues until tonight. I ordered my food to go. It was one plate and two egg roles. Usually very nice staff but today the gentleman was rude and seemed very irritated. So we grab our food and tip and headed home. We usually eat our eggroles in the car but I waited till we got home. We opened the container and seen a bug it was a beetle right in the middle of our chicken. i instantly call the place and tell the owner or whoever answered the phone and he Sighes and said ok bring it back. I live in Taylor's and now have had to drive back to the restaurant twice. We then go back into the establishment and tell the man discretely since there was a customer there and tells me he cant hear me so I had to repeat it. He grabs the plate and sets it in front of him harshly opens it sees the bug no apologies just I'll give you your money back. he gave me 11 dollars back and change and not the tip I left. If I wanted to keep the customer i'd give them their money back plus tip a apology and consider remaking food even if we did t want it. He was not sincere. The egg rolls were separated so I get that charge me for the eggrolls but to not give me my tip back and a apology for something that was your mistake is not right. Everyone makes mistakes but treat people how you want to be treated. For this I'll give a 1 star and never return. read more

Don't even bother calling in for takeout. This place is 3/3 for not having my takeout order ready upon arriving although they always tell me it'll be ready in 10 minutes. Today, I finally mentioned to them that this is the third time I had wait awhile although I called in my order. The guy at the front counter said that they don't make the food until we come in and pay. So, again, don't waste your time calling. When I told him this would probably be my last time because it's simply not convenient, he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I loved the precautions they took to ensure the care of the food, however ai was not impressed. I'm not sure who was cooking but they fried my wings more than anybody could have wanted. China Restaurant on Woodruff by Bi-Lo looks like any one of a hundred of these strip mall Chinese restaurants. They all have those illuminated color photos of dishes on the wall over the counter. The decor is sparse and not very attractive. There may be a large photo of a city night scape on a wall. The menus are in English and Chinese in red and black where you order by the numbers. The chairs are an inexplicable paradox of comfortable and uncomfortable. They're all the same. But in this case, appearances can be deceiving. We had wonton and egg drop soups, and moo goo gai pan. The moo goo gai pan was hands down the best I've ever had in my life. Usually a bland dish, this one was spiced up with strips of fresh ginger that suffused the whole dish. Oh man, was it great. I've never seen that done anywhere else. It is premature to rate a restaurant 5 stars based solely on one dish? I don't care! I loved it. Going back!
