Friday was my first visit to this particular restaurant. Service was indeed fast. I ordered the vegetable fried rice, 8 wings and two vegetable egg rolls. Chicken (amazing) reminds me of the Chinese chicken from home (Chicago). Egg rolls (too greasy) not enough vegetables inside....looks like only cabbage. Vegetable fried rice (wasn't bad give it 6.5) they didn't have any bean sprouts (needed those bad). All in all I'd definitely go bad. This one is probably by far the closest to home I'll get. I have ordered here for five years and been satisfied. Today, 12/15/2025, I ordered Sesame chicken and General Tsao's chicken . Neither item looked or had the normal aroma. Both dishes were overcooked and over battered. My family commented immediately on the appearance of the food being unusual. After several bites (3) of them scraped their dishes into the trash. I tried to cut my chicken with a dinner knife. It was too tough. I got a steak knife and could cut it, but not chew it. I ate a small portion then threw mine out. This was always our go to for Chinese. New owner took over June 1. There were errors in our order. Never an error with previous owner. We ordered beef and when we got home it was shrimp. Thank goodness I noticed since I am allergic to shrimp. I wanted to return it but to fight the traffic after we got home was not appealing. The employees did too much talking and not paying attention to what there were doing. We threw it away but did enjoy the pork fried rice. Egg rolls a bit greasy. The food was actually quite terrible. My husband picked it up so I can't comment on the ambiance or service, however I can imagine it's not great. Missing soup, egg rolls, and fried rice from our order. They used styrofoam to contain a VERY hot and sauce covered chicken dish which did NOT hold up in the bag and spilled everywhere. The chicken and cashew was 50% celery and carrot bits, too small to pick out if you don't like that flavor. The chicken was chopped into tiny bits as well. The teriyaki flavor is a joke. I love this place. This is the best fast food Asian place ever. I always get the fried dumplings and an egg roll. Their specials are enough for two people to be more than full and it's so cheap. This is our neighborhood Chinese place! It always slaps!! We've never eaten in the restaurant and have always ordered online and picked it up. Order is always fresh, and delicious and ACCURATE!! Egg rolls are bomb! I think the best days to order is Friday and Saturday because their cooks are the best those days (totally my opinion!) Not even dog food quality. Today's pick-up meal was the worst food presentation I've seen in the last five years from ANY restaurant. We've been patronizing this establishment for over twenty years. What used to be quite good has taken a nose-dive over the last twelve months. This afternoon's pickup consisted of two different meat choices with mixed vegetables and four egg rolls. The egg rolls were burnt (dark brown burnt) and terribly greasy; inedible. The "mixed veggetables" in both meals were largely devoid of carrots (mine had two slivers), snow peas (two), celery (two), baby corn (one), bell pepper slice (two), water chestnuts (two), mushroom slices (six) broccoli (six small pieces). All vegetables were so over cooked as to be mush and limp. No "stir-fry crunch" to anything. The food taste was so bad I had to eat a peanut butter sandwich afterwards to chase away the queeziness in my stomach. And I am respectfully not making any of this up. It was just terrible. However .. they did get the sticky-rice right. I called China Restaurant to complain and after being told the owner was not there, I had to tell the phone person my story, only to be handed off to the on-site manager to again tell my story .. only to be handed off to the owner (who must have just arrived) who didn't pick up at all. So I just hung up after being left on hold. To be fair they did offer to "trade out" my meal(s) for something else. But the foul feeling in my tummy just said "no". But no offer of refund. And not good for them .. they tried to hang the food quality (limp, brown brocolli) on me for letting the vegetables sit too long as if they could possibly have known how long it did/didn't sit. What do I know? Well, I spent over twenty years in the full-service food business before I retired and I know dog food when I see it. So after more than twenty years patronizing this establishment, you can stick a fork in me because I'm more than done. Never going back. I've been hesitant on posting this but here it goes. We use to eat here a lot. At least twice a month. We normally have a tradition of getting Chinese food on Christmas Eve and this past year we made our typical comfort choices. I always get the House Mai Fun and always love it but this time I found some kind of caterpillar or large maggot in my food. It made me so nauseous that I threw it all out. The food quality is very good authentic homestyle cooking! The Service is horrible when you make a call and phone order they will mess up your food it's best to just stand there and wait for it to be cooked look at it before you leave and make sure it's what you order! If you ask for things to be put in separate containers or boxes they will not do it they will say they'll do it but you will not receive it done it's almost as if they have fun listening to what you want and not following your direction! The quality has gone down. Beef with broccoli was thick and gooey. It was always my favorite. Don't order online. They confirm one price and charge you a larger price when you pick up and pay. This is the best takeout Chinese food in the upstate that I've had. I've ordered both takeout and delivery from here multiple times and it's ALWAYS incredibly fast and ALWAYS incredibly fresh/hot. The rice is java rice, which is traditionally Indonesian/Thai. Turmeric is what gives the rice it's yellow color (for those claiming this is "weird" or "mall food court quality"). No, it's not white rice but you can ask for white rice if that's your forte. You receive a large quantity each and every time which will fill you up for a decent price. My favorite item is their sesame beef and broccoli and my husband absolutely loves their hot and sour soup - I'd recommend both for sure. I can't speak highly enough about their timely delivery as well. They are lightning fast! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Chinese food in the area. read more

I read all the positive reviews on here. My Chinese place was closed so I decided to give it a try. The best way to put it, is it was terrible. I live 6 miles away. It was all like warm. My husband ordered a spicey dish. It was sweet with no spice. Our company ordered beef with onions and chicken with cashews. They do have a sit down- dine in service as well. I am giving it 4 stars- because the food was ready, hot and was correct! We got the food home and we were stuffing ourselves and did not want to stop because it was so yummy. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken and grilled teriyaki chicken, with fried rice, egg rolls, and crab rangoon. They gave us tons of sauces and the meals were packaged all neatly. The sweet and sour chicken was not too bready- which was nice and the sauce was plenty- but on the side. The sesame chicken was not too spicy and that was AOK with me! Chicken chow mein was practically all cabbage, and their version of fried rice is so strange...its actually yellow rice with very sparse veggies. Be careful to check your take out order for accuracy and shortages. Our order was missing an entire entree so we called the restaurant and they said they would replace it. What a pain to drive back for their mistake. Upon arrival we asked for some white sauce to enjoy with our meals which we assumed they also forgot to put in the bag. They charged us .75 cents for each container totalling $1.62 for two. The food is above average but the portions are small and I've never been charged extra for white sauce after spending over $20 for dinner.
