I have been ordering from this restaurant since we moved here & sadly, apparently, I can't do that any more. The food has always been good; delivery was always decent; the few times we've gone in the service was nice. However, their ordering system is dumb. That's it. That's why. I've had a profile with them for 2yrs, but I had to change my number b/c of spam & their system is so archaic I can't update my profile. I tried creating a new profile, but their system won't let me because my email is already stored under my old number. How ignorant a reason is that to lose a customer. Blows my mind that that's a reason to cut a customer loose... but it is. The food is really good and fresh! The owner and her staff cook it right in front of you, if you' wait inside the restaurant. I am always slightly skeptical of most Chinese/Japanese restaurants but I absolutely recommend this place. I also order either the chicken teriyaki, chicken and broccoli or chicken & vegetables. I also love their pork or shrimp egg rolls. The price is very fair, given the size of the portions. My husband and I recent moved to simpsonville from Long Island,NY. I had been craving Chinese food for the longest- I tried another location and it just did not taste the same. I was sad to think that I wouldn't find something even close to tasting like what I had in NY . I tried Hibachi house just to try because I saw a review picture of their lo mein noodles and they looked similar to what I'd get in NY. Let me tell you- this was the closest thing that I have gotten in SC . I was so happy - the lo mein noodles were just as I had in NY and the fried rice was delicious. DO NOT recommend. They used to be affordable but not anymore and the food is not good! My hubby got Mongolian Beef and barely ate half which is not like him, he usually eats anything! My Kung Pao Chicken was bland and I only ate some of it. The rest in the garbage. Be aware they have outdated menus to look at (July 2022) and the prices have increased by a lot since then. I asked about the 2 year old menus (this is 6/2024) with wrong prices and was told they haven't gotten around to update them. I won't get around to buy from them. I was excited to find a place to order that's close to me but this was a let down. Decent quality food- like visually appealing but extremely bland. I got simple options- the vegetable soup and some pork fried rice, but simple shouldn't mean bland. She knows our orders and knows my husband likes his Singapore noodles extra, extra spicy. Over time she's made it spicier for us since she's learned we love it that way. My go-to for take out in Simpsonville now! I'd prefer if it wasn't yellow rice, but the egg rolls are decent, the fried rice is good, and the chicken lo mein is AWESOME. They have a decent sized menu with Chinese and Japanese food options, larger inside seating space than most take-out restaurants, and is fairly priced. We were so excited to try something new and super happy that our family of 4 were able to all be together at the same time for lunch, which is rare. We thought this place would be the answer since it advertised as Chinese & Japanese cuisine. When we walked in there was no one at all seated and the cashier/hostess was behind a giant plastic makeshift sheet of some sort. She just stared at us. No welcome to the restaurant, no hello, no nothing. Just stared at us. We asked if we were ok to sit anywhere. She said " you can sit anywhere but you will have to eat out of to go styrofoam and plastic forks". She said "we have no plates or silverware". This wasn't a temporary problem, this was a please don't eat inside our restaurant problem. She was totally rude which was shocking to us after reading the reviews. I'm pretty happy with this little place. It has become my go-to place for hibachi steak and shrimp. The lady that takes my money is so friendly. I think their food is pretty great. I always get the steak and shrimp hibachi with an order of fried or steamed dumplings. The dumplings are great. Obviously, it doesn't hold up to Japanese steakhouse quality but it shouldn't have to. I've become a pretty decent fan of this small restaurant. Is it gourmet quality food? No. Does it satisfy the rumbles in my tummy that only Chinese food can cure? Yes, most certainly, and the sushi isn't half bad either! The owner I believe, and his wife (?) are always very kind and usually throw in a free drink with every visit. The shrimp were ok, but the meat did not taste like steak. The texture was more like liver. It came with plain white rice that was mushy and vegetables that were mostly onion. Even the tea tasted strange or old. My husband ordered Kung pao Chicken after he found out that they did not have sushi as we saw on a review. His was not good either.
