Nothing missing and they refused a cash thank you! I will be a forever customer if these hard working and honest people!! Highly recommend!

So, you may ask, what does a Chinese person order at an Americanized Chinese restaurant. Do I ask them to do some off-menu creation that more closely mirrors authentic Chinese food? Honestly, I'd never do that. Unless it's a spot like In-n-Out, I'm not one to participate in the secret menu shenanigans. No, I simply get the General Tso's Chicken or Sweet and Sour Chicken that anybody else gets. At just over $10 outside of lunch hours, prices are roughly in-line with what we find anywhere else these days. The "combo" version of these meals come with an eggroll, which is terrific. I... really should order one of their healthier options, but alas, I'm determined to remain fat forever or something. I have dined at Hunan K way too many times, and I'll probably average at least 1-2 visits per week for the rest of my time in my apartment. The food by no means hits greatness, but it's a very good option for the price range. I'm very glad local Yelpers have responded positively to this restaurant, because it's a very good one.

I hate even writing this because China Restaurant in Mauldin has been my go-to Chinese place for…read moreprobably 30 years, but something has definitely changed. The last few times just haven't been the same. The egg rolls are bland, the fried rice is just "meh," the crab rangoon tastes completely different, and the chicken dishes seem to be mostly fried breading with almost no actual chicken. This place has been a Mauldin staple for me forever, so I'm not trying to trash them--I'm genuinely disappointed because I've loved their food for decades. I don't know if ownership, cooks, recipes, or ingredients changed, but the quality just isn't what it used to be. Really hoping they get back to what made them so good for so many years

Both dishes were overcooked and over battered. My family commented immediately on the appearance of the food being unusual. After several bites (3) of them scraped their dishes into the trash. I tried to cut my chicken with a dinner knife. It was too tough. I got a steak knife and could cut it, but not chew it. I ate a small portion then threw mine out. Further the fried rice was not fried rice at all. I have recommended this restaurant, but something was very wrong today.

Not here. We have sampled a few of the other things including chicken and broccoli, shrimp with lobster sauce, sesame chicken, and a few others and every time it was so good. It's so full of flavor that is truly the best Chinese food that I've had outside of Chinatown in New York City. You won't be disappointed
