Ugh, how can you serve crappy, hard undercooked, crunchy steamed white rice and call yourself "Chinese food". This is the worse unit of the Panda Restaurant chain - Ever!! I've come here multiple times, and I kick myself every time I order steamed white rice - it's always crap, hard, undercooked and crunchy crap!! I asked for chili/hot sauce and they give me freaking soy sauce, just bad customer service at this Tupelo Panda. You have to ask for utensils or they don't include it. And as one of the other Yelpers mentioned, the entrance and exit to this unit sucks, difficult to enter. Not coming here EVER again! read more

The price you pay for the portions you get is not acceptable. I ordered orange chicken and a side of noodles. Five small pieces of chicken and the noodles box was literally four inches long and two inches wide. That cost me over $13!! I could have gone to the Chinese buffet for that price and have a variety of choices. I can't believe places like this stay in business. read more

The food lacked flavor, sauce and salt the orange had good flavor and was tender the beef and broccoli had NO flavor what so ever The chow main had no flavor and tasted like cardboard the teriyaki chicken was tender but required a packet of sauce. Customer service needs improvement.. I was told I had to move out of line after my order because of a timer . Employee was not very tactful. I was just checking my food to ensure accuracy and no one was behind me. My go to is the orange chicken and chow mein! It was a disappointment this time.. An new chain arrives in Tupelo, Mississippi. Elected to eat dinner at this recently open location. New building and I was greeted when I entered the restaurant. Seven people to working and there was three customers in front of me. Much confusion with the staff as to who was waiting on whom. After a short wait my order was taken ans I chose items that were ready. Not my first visit to this chain but a go to if I am in the mood for Chinese food. Portion size was much smaller than I had expected or experienced in the past. Tables and chairs were clean, as well as the floors. In short walk from the register to a booth two out of my three entrées were cold. Not sure who set up the drink station but my drink was short on syrup. Rice is hard. Went in the drive thru and still had to wait 15 mins. Then walked in to see what the heck. There were 2 other people having to wait for food. Staff looked overwhelmed and understaffed. This place serves a variety of delicious entrees with a choice of rice or noodles. I enjoy eating here as opposed to one of the Asian places in the mall. Their sweet tea tastes a little different than your usual southern sweet tea but that is just how Panda express makes it. It doesn't taste bad, it's just a little different! read more

Everyone that works in there is so professional and truly serve even though panda express is considered fast food. Because of their attentive service and fresh food, I will be back even though Chinese is not my favorite. Everything was cooked fresh in front of me while I waited. Something is definitely wrong at this Panda Express. It's odd that the cook would ask another team member if he should sauté the zucchini for the mushroom chicken. I would normally say that every Panda Express serves the same food from the same recipe but this site is definitely different. The sauce for the mushroom chicken was too thick and salty and even had a burnt taste. The cooks should taste what they Make before serving. Food was cold.. rice dry. Had to Wet it with sweet and sour sauce. Not very good. Sweet tea was nasty. Dr pepper was clear, no syrup in it. Order a plate I thought that was what I was going to pay, A plate with two entree. They will charge you extra for shrimp or beef. They need to specify, What a plate with two entree will cost. I've eaten here probably 20 times. It's pretty consistent to any other Panda location. The lines are usually pretty short so it's a good stop for lunch. I would elect not to go with a large group due to seating limitations. To all the people who are comparing this to other Chinese restaurants this is not a high end authentic restaurant it's the equivalent of food court Chinese food so compare correctly. Most of the complaints I have heard equates to unrealistic expectations. This is an excellent place to eat American Chinese fast food. read more

Well, they have definitely slacked off- several empty spots on the line, beef with broccoli should be called broccoli with a hint of beef, and the broccoli was raw! Also, 6 of the tables were in the process of being cleaned (?) by an worker who was called to serve food. She left spray, dirty towels, and chairs laid down on the floor so there were few seats available. No towels in either restroom, drink station a mess, all this at 11:30 AM. Basically looked like they weren't ready to open. Hope corporate gets them back on track! read more

I ate at Panda Express several times right after it opened. Thought it was very good for fast Chinese food. Employees were cheerful and efficient and the food was good. I stopped by there around 4pm today to pick up a take out plate and the food station was almost empty. The couple of food choices that were left looked like they had been on the heat for at least 3 days. The rice was very dry, no beef choices left, settled on orange chicken. I ate it but was not happy with the quality. There were only 2 employees on sight. At 4 pm, you would think that they would have every entree ready for the night crowd. I had my first experience with Panda Express in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago, and have been to the Tupelo location twice since. PLEASE, PLEASE make another entrance and exit. I would go more, but traffic is horrible around there every day. On today's visit,at noon, I had to wait for fried rice and shrimp for my plate. Other entrees were also empty. The 3 people that were working were very nice and quick. It must be hard to cook and serve at the same time. Flavor was great. I will continue to return, but being able to get in and out would make all our lives easier. Again, the food was terrific!!!!! read more

First time visiting this Panda Express due to family vacation. Food was great, but would give customer service a BIG two thumbs down. Employees were talking to each other on the headsets snickering to each other with non-work related conversations (" do you know, Billy?" "Yeah I know, Billy." *laugh laugh. Snicker snicker* definitely not paying attention to customers. Did not even notice that I asked for extra plum sauce. I had to ask for the plum sauce three times. Ice machine was not working (apparently turned off) and the silverware station completely abandoned and left empty not tended to by the workers. Followed by the container labeled "sweet tea" with no sugar added. My star only goes to the food. But someone put a tighter leash on the workers. Very disrespectful. read more

The food is really great. The vegetables are always super fresh and it's way better than the buffets in town. If they don't have the entree you want they will cook it for you. Just like any restaurant you might have a bad experience but they will go out of their way to make it right so that's why I give them five stars. read more
