The sweet waitress who was taking care of us apologized bc the manager wouldn't come out. Fast forward after eating there several times I went again today. I ordered and the waitress came back and said "you were here last time and you didn't pay your bill". I assure her that I had been there several times and always paid my bill. She continued to repeat this as I'm surrounded by other customers now watching. She stated it was me bc I ordered the same thing. I paid whoever's bill was still open, canceled my order and I won't be back. For a $20 bill they lost my family as customers.

They offer a long menu of items and I like the fact you can opt for veggies or tofu as a sub for any of the menu items.

The portions are solid, prices are fair, and the food always hits the spot. My order's always ready when they say it will be, and they make sure everything's right before handing it over. The menu's simple but everything on it's good. If you go, definitely try the catfish. They're cash only, so make sure to bring a little with you. Honestly, it's worth it. Good food, good people, and you can feel it's a local spot that takes pride in what they do.

I stuck with the basic burger, adding Swiss cheese, and was more than satisfied with the size and the included fries. The side of slaw I added was not what I expected -- the cabbage was very finely grated and the flavor was heavy on the acidic end; could have used a touch more sweet and maybe some carrots (might have been in there, couldn't tell). The decor is colorful and fun, with a big high ceiling. I stayed at the adjoining Hotel Tupelo, so I took my leftover fries up to the room for later. I saw several couples there on what seemed to be dates, and there was a pair of doctors in scrubs at the table next to me, simultaneously eating supper and attending some kind of online seminar. A large group of teachers from a state conference occupied a group table, and the atmosphere was lively. Noise level is fairly high.

I recently ordered a filet mignon for delivery and received meat that was clearly spoiled. Anyone…read morewho has ever cooked steak knows the unmistakable foul odor that spoiled beef spills fills the room. ....To not be able to recognize the smell and feel of spoiled/rotten meat raises serious concerns that the those handling the meat have no idea what they are doing. I spoke with the manager, Dynasty, who apologized but directed me to resolve the issue through DoorDash rather than addressing it directly. While I understand third-party ordering policies, serving spoiled food is a food safety issue that should be handled at the restaurant level immediately. This experience was both concerning and unacceptable. I would strongly recommend reviewing food handling and quality control practices to ensure this does not happen again. -Dr. G
