I live in the small rural town of Mantachie, MS. So, we tend to shop in either nearby Tupelo or Fulton. My husband and I have driven past this restaurant at least a hundred times and were never tempted to eat here. That is... until my oldest child began living in the dorms at Itawamba Community College. Like most college kids, he has made an art of eating on the cheap, despite my husband and I paying for a meal plan at the college. We were taking our son and his girlfriend out to eat after one of my daughter's soft ball games. We decided on Chinese food, and my son insisted we try Peking Palace in Fulton. I cringed a little on the inside, because I tend to be picky about Chinese food. Being a team player, I agreed to try it. As stated in other reviews, the restaurant itself is nothing to write home about. It is located in a bland mini-mall next to a Walmart. When we stepped inside the decor was minimalistic at best. A pleasant older gentleman took our order at the counter. I ordered shrimp fried rice, because I was trying to keep things simple. A few minutes later, he brought out our food in styrofoam takeout containers. At this point, things were not looking good. I picked up my chop sticks and tentatively took a bite. That's when the magic happened! The shrimp was plentiful and well seasoned. The rice was perfectly sticky and a nice golden brown. It was the best tasting shrimp fried rice I have ever put in my mouth, before or since. That was earlier this summer. I bet we have ordered take-out from Peking Palace at least once, and sometimes two or three times a week since then. Even the smallest take out container is stuffed full with more food than I can comfortably eat. Trust me. I have finished it off a few times. I was miserably full and regretted my impulsiveness each time. My daughter and I could easily share a small order, but since everything is so reasonably priced, we always get our own. It makes for a good midnight snack or lunch for the next day. I highly recommend this small out of the way restaurant. You will not be sorry you took the chance! read more

Unlike Brandy, who came here to write an essay or take a shot at getting a job with a food magazine, I'll keep it easy. The food is always good. They have a lunch buffet if that works for you otherwise you can order off the menu. Never had a bad experience here. read more

Minimalistic restaurant? The wrong description. Dirty inside, food is not tasty and tables were sticky. One man runs the entire show, taking money, cooking, emptying trash cans, cleaning tables, etc. Just make yourself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, you will be more satisfied. read more

Food, People, and Restaurant Is all great and looks really nice Inside and the Ambiance Is Silent and well

We have eaten at Peking Palace for at least 20 years and have never had a bad meal from there. It has always been excellent! The owners are part of our community and have always been super kind to us. So glad they provide such excellent food and service. read more

The food is always so fresh and so good! Good people and great service at this establishment. You can tell they strive for quality with each order, I've been eating here probably 10 years or more & the quality is consistent. And the lunch buffet isn't huge like some super buffets but the taste, cleanliness, and quality of the food make it far superior. read more

Awesome people and food! My favorite Chinese food in Mississippi . The lunch buffet is the best around.

The interior is nothing to write home about. The food is a different story. We had the pork egg rolls, dumplings, house fried rice and pepper steak. It was all very good. The egg roll was one of the best I have ever had. The dumplings were also very good. You order at the counter and if you are eating in the restaurant they bring you your food in to go containers. We just used the tops of the to go containers for plates. We can't wait to go again. read more

When you find yourself spending a night in the nowheresville of Fulton, Mississippi, your expectations are low when you pull into a melancholic mini-mall and eat at a nondescript Chinese takeout place called Peking Palace. But this little place with nothing in the way of decoration and where you order at the counter and receive everything in Styrofoam containers with plastic forks makes topnotch Moo shu vegetable, Szechuan tofu and rice noodles. We were on vacation for a week and a half and ate at every sort of place and this was among the best. read more

This place is amazing. The only place that my wife didn't put soy sauce on the fried rice. Wish I could give it 10 stars!!!

Best Chinese restaurant anywhere within a 30 mile radius. Great authentic Chinese food , I would recommend it to anyone !!

Very friendly order-takers by phone. It's our favourite take-out place when we're craving delicious Asian food. Favorites are Curry Chicken, Lo Mein, Egg Rolls and General Tao's. Ordering their Chicken Chop Suey, Pork Moo Shu and Szechuan Chicken tonight. I'm picky about not having baby corn or bamboo shoots and they've never gotten it wrong. read more

Wonderful food that is prepared fast and fresh to order. Great customer service as well. I have never had a problem here.

The customer service is great but the food not so great. Sometimes it's good and sometimes I w wonder what type of meat I'm eating.

I think this is the best Chinese we have ever had. It is a very small buffet, but clean and well stocked! You can see into their kitchen and it looks to be very clean. Would recommend this to anyone. read more

This is still one of my favorite restaurants anywhere around. Since my last review I had a chance to try the lunch buffet. While not a huge buffet, it does offer a decent selection. I usually don't get the opportunity to eat here during the buffet hours so we end up ordering off the menu. One thing is for sure, your food will be smoking hot and fresh when you get it. You won't leave hungry. In fact we usually end up bringing home plenty of leftovers since a single serving is really enough for two people. The staff have always been nice and accommodating. Nice little place to just sit and enjoy a good meal. read more

Always nice employees and awesome food! Definitely recommend trying. Lunch buffet from 11-2:30(?). Could just use a few renovations and some more business! read more

A really terrific small restaurant! Don't let the old look of the shopping center fool you, the food is great as well as the service!

Great place to get decent quality Chinese food in a town full of fast food restaurants. Clean dining room and kitchen, which you can fully see thanks to the clear Plexiglas wall behind the counter. Awesome place to eat! read more
