Went here for a quick bite to eat. Decided to be a good patron and order online for pickup. What good did it do?!! Nothing! No seriously, even after placing my order online, the facility was closed inside and instead I was told to go to the drive-thru. So I go through the drive-thru to then just tell them my name to then go through the line to pickup my order. Bruh... what good is online ordering ahead if you're subjected to having to wait in line? I had to basically order like I had never done an online order and then wait the usual time. This is my 3rd time coming here and each time has been irritating in some fashion or form. It wasn't a bad experience. I ordered the cub meal with fried rice and chicken teriyaki. The order taker was very friendly in the drive thru & I paid/got my ordered very quickly. I ended up eating my food in their parking lot. The chicken wasn't hot & the rice never has much flavor. So, I have to make sure I get teriyaki sauce packets to pour on top. I didn't go inside, so I can't speak to that. But I can tell you that the parking lot area was clean & there was plenty of parking available. read more

Horrible portions. Got the honey walnut shrimp and sweet fire chicken plate. I counted the shrimp they gave my 6 when it's supposed to be at least 7. As for the chicken they gave me 4 pieces (which is more breading than chicken) and 4 pieces of pineapple. With a drink this meal was $15.19. Definitely not worth the price. I love Panda Express!!! But this location here...no love!! I so wanted to give them more stars so that's why I waited until a second visit to write my review. So I went about a month ago and most recently last week and both visits no bueno. My first visit I did experience the crazy long wait times. The drive through was literally pouring into the street outside the parking lot. Ridiculous... but from this standpoint, I was thinking dang...they must be super good!! I mean the inside was totally packed AND the drive-thru AND no one was turning around leaving without ordering. So I figured hey...Ima wait too!!! *pulls out phone to past time away* So my first visit right...I went inside and waited 20 minutes before placing my order. I ordered the kids meal string bean chicken and mixed veggies. OMG...so the girl put like a half a spoon full of the meat and veggies in the container she was fixing for me. *With my brow raised* I asked "um aren't you going to put some more in there" The food barely covered the bottom on both sides :( She went on to explain the portions of each meal: kids meal, bowl, entree etc. I was like ok, but it's not for a 2 year old. She apologized and said well ma'am this is how it's supposed to be. Nevertheless, she did a full scoop of both after I said something. Now idk if this is the procedure at all locations but this was my first hearing about the portion controls. I was immediately turned off. And then... what seemed to be a manager was hawk eyeing in the back. Like really...smh She fixed my entree order...orange chicken with fried rice and the food wasn't even close to the top of the bowl. Now I'm looking like, is she for real??? Clearly she was because she began to place the lid on the bowl. Here I go... Um excuse me again, will you please add some more to the bowl? It looked as though the same portion she put in my container was the same amount she spooned into the bowl. Craziness... So a drink comes with the kids meal...I went to the lobby to get the tea they make; not the sweat tea but the tea with all the flavors mixed in. Um...it's not in the lobby. So I have to go back to counter and see about the tea. The response...oh that tea is in the drive-thru I can get it for you. What...omg!!! At this point I'm like the food definitely needs to be on point cause this experience at this new location wasn't making me excited at all. So I couldn't wait to eat, therefore, I ate while I sat in traffic on my way home. The food was just ok. The temperature was borderline cold and my three fork fulls of food definitely didn't satisfy my macros needed for dinner. But the food was good, but I wanted more. Oh well... So I visited again. I will make this shorter... I went through the drive-thru, only 2 cars ahead of me and no crazy wait time like before. It was abnormal but in a good way. I was hungry again. Ordered my kids meal and bowl for my mother. Again, the kids meal hardly no food inside and the entree...the art of minimalism. So I glanced at the bowl, not thinking to really check it out because my order was correct on the screen. Only to drive 20 mins to reach home, I look inside the bag to see, I was given teriyaki chicken and not orange chicken. OMG...talk about steaming!!!!!!!!!!! I called and spoke with a manager later that day to advise how disappointed I was to receive the wrong order...He apologized and offered to remake my meal at no cost and to pick it up any day I'm back in the area. Such a thoughtful gesture. It's a new day...oh, I picked up the food yesterday (the meal the manager offered) and would you believe the order was right and it was filled to the top of the bowl. So I'm like hol up!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know, for this to be a chain restaurant, I need consistency. Nevertheless, I think I'm done with this location. I will stick to one in particular - that's bae :) Inside is sorta roomy, it's clean and televisions are present. The parking is horrible and poorly constructed. Today was the grand opening and I was pleasantly surprised. Usually grand openings they're still working out the kinks and the crew is still little green. I did not get a sense of that when I went there today. They had a long line to the drive thru and had a nice little crowd on the inside. The food was pretty good. This isn't my first time at Panda Express but I was happy with the food I did get. It is overpriced but it's quick and better than your regular Chinese food takeout so I do not mind paying the extra. The crew was professional and made you feel welcomed. I will be a regular at this location considering its very close to my house. As long as they keep providing good service and decent food they will see me on the regular. read more

Not good. Panda Express is a common go-to fast food chain for me when I'm traveling. Figured I'd give this one a shot in spite of the numerous negative reviews (I gave them the benefit of the doubt, considering many reviews were old). Poor decision. While I don't expect a fine dining experience or top shelf food, this is easily the worst Panda Express I've ever eaten at. Dirty inside, food was nearly cold, and chow mein noodles were just nasty...not sure what they do differently at this particular location, but this was a nearly inedible meal for me. I came to this location at the beginning of August. Ordered my food and got all the way back to work. Only to realize that the portion of beef and broccoli they gave me had one single sliver of beef in it. It was completely irresponsible of the restaurant and what a joke to me wasting my lunch. I could not get anyone on the phone at the location, so I decided to email corporate. I didn't expect anything free but I did expect an apology and just giving the restaurant a heads up to have more common sense.. They emailed me back to apologize and also sent me this message. We'd like you to have 2 Free Entree certificates for complimentary servings of any entree of your choice the next time you visit. The first time I tried to use one of the coupons they sent me this is what happened... From me: I am pretty sick and tired of your company lying to me. First you do not give me what I paid for. Second you send me these two false advertisement complementary entrée tickets. Then the employee at the restaurant tells me that these are not good for complementary entrée items. Basically telling me what it means is that I can get a plate and add on another entree item for free. Nowhere in your email or on these tickets does it say that. Also in your letter that you sent to me, it said that I can enjoy two free singleserving entrées on my next visit. I got one and they said, that's not how it works, it only takes a dollar off... So you all are liars. You are a fraud. You steal money from consumers and that is ridiculous. This is horrible customer service and you all should be incredibly ashamed of yourself. They did not even respond to me this time. However, they did have the local manager Shandy call me and apologize for the wrong communication. She did tell me that the coupon I presented was good for any free entrée. She said I did not have to buy anything else that I could come in with a coupon and get a free entrée. She asked that if I come back please give them another chance and I did. I went in, met her and she actually gave me my whole plate for free. I did not want to do that, I offered to pay for the rest of my food over and over but she insisted. I was very appreciative and moved on with a better feeling about their store.. But today, today is the straw that broke the camels back.. I ordered my food and I ordered the same exact order as I ordered the last time I went. I get to the window and explain to the young man that I have this coupon and what it meant. This is how that went down... From me: It is absolutely asinine to not be on the same page with your stores or them with you. They mess up an order and corporate sends me these free entrée coupons. Nowhere on this coupon does it say that I have to get a small order. And if you order anything from panda small, you know you get four pieces of the entrée because it is so small. After this happened and I complained again, the manager Shandy called to apologize and let me know that the coupon I was using indeed meant I got a free entrée. She was very sorry and was nice enough to offer me a free meal. I have one more free entrée coupon. I went today, February 21, 2021 at 12:30 PM to the location on College Drive in Suffolk, Virginia and ordered the same thing as last time, that Shandy told me would be covered under the coupon. Now all of a sudden Shandy is telling me that this is for a small entrée only. It does not state anywhere on this coupon it is for a small entrée only. She then shows me, do you see the code we were supposed to ring it up under, that means small. How do I know what your codes are to ring things up if I do not work there? Again, nowhere on this coupon does it say small. It says free entrée item. One item per person. Not valid with any other coupon, discounts or promotions. Not valid at the supermarket, university, airport, casino, theme park or stadium locations. Complementary. So that means that I can order any entrée item, regardless of size and it will be free. If you expect customers to feel like you even care in the slightest, you might wanna change your verbiage on these. So now I got to sit there, AGAIN, and be completely embarrassed. Shandy explain to me what it was and now she's backtracking and telling me she never said that. So which is it? I gave a second chance because I thought that it might have been just a little mistake and that's OK. However, now it is not the case and this location is trash in my eyes. Working in customer service full-time, consistency is key. So when I deal with the same exact people I should have had the same response as the last time that they were apologizing for being wrong.. I will forever now detour anybody from visiting this location. These people are rude, they are not consistent and frankly they suck.. What a joke.. and I'm officially pissed off.. I come to this Panda Express literally all of the time and it's mostly pretty good! I however am so disappointed at What they just tried to serve me that I have no choice but to write this review. It is just GROSS negligence on the part of the staff who decided to serve me these products as acceptable rather than making fresh chicken for me or asking me to order another entree.... laziness and general lack of concern for their patrons. I went through the drive through which I normally don't do because I like to see what they have available and pick what is the freshest but I had my kids in the car and was exhausted and didn't want to get out so we chanced it... I ordered a bigger plate to share with my kids with honey walnut shrimp, Orange chicken, and teriyaki chicken. I asked if the shrimp was fresh because otherwise it's mushy and they said it was! Sweet! I was informed I would have to wait for fresh orange chicken and rangoons so I said no problem! Pulled around to wait. Brought me my food, no sauce for the rangoons(something they frequently forget so I always check) no problem sent my son inside to grab some and we are on our way! Noticed when I got home they had forgotten to put in the side of shrimp. Said you know what screw or count it as a loss and move on.... so hungry.... first bite of orange chicken? So good.... love that stuff! Then I notice my teriyaki.... omg it's black..... go to grab a piece with my fork.... fork bends.... it had to have been in that warmer for HOURS. I work in a restaurant. I know items have a shelf life before they have to be thrown away, even when kept at appropriate temperatures, simply for guest satisfaction... this was like jerky.... at this point I was upset.... went to eat a Rangoon and opened my sauce, when I tell you it's like freaking jelly is so thick and old I am not exaggerating! I turned it upside down and it won't fall out of the container!!!! I called and complained and they took down my name and order number because I didn't want to come back. I asked to speak to a manager and they never came to the phone. Just had the person who answered the phone ask what I wanted and all I really wanted was for them to do a line check to ensure food quality. But they wouldn't even speak to me! Went through the drive through and ordered a big meal plate (one side and 3 entrees) and my friend ordered a side of cream cheese ragoons and one entree. We got home and there was no sauce. If I would have known we had to ask for sauce I would. But one would think they would be considerate enough to ask us. So bummed. We've loved Panda for years but they have officially lost loyal customers. Pre-ordered a family feast and paid the additonal charge for honey walnut shrimp. I have no issue with the extra charge at all. I do however have a big issue with the container being 3/4 full. Even bigger issue with the ridiculous explanation from the manager that "corporate requires we put in 21 shrimp". Oh really? You count those yourself? Great. I should have paid attention to that little voice in my head when I realized that I was the only person in the drive thru line at lunchtime.... This was my first (and last) visit to the Panda Express at this location. I ordered the Kung Pao Panda Bowl. What I received was a bowl filled to the brim with rice and a few tidbits of chicken, sprinkled with squash, peanuts, red and green peppers. The naming of this restaurant (at least this particular location) is ironic. There is nothing express about this place. I'm writing this as I sit outside, after having gone through the drive thru 10 minutes ago, waiting for food that "should be five more minutes." This is the second time I've gone through the drive thru here and been told it'd be five more minutes for certain entrees, only to wait for fifteen minutes before having to walk into the store to get my food. I don't mind waiting, but this is becoming a trend when I go through this location's drive thru. And sure, I could pick another entree, but when you're told there are four entrees that'd be a five minute wait, that's just inexcusable planning. The experience is here and it is there... the first two times we came it was bad. The second time I wrote to corporate because the staff were being completely inappropriate while customers were in the store. The food was cold and they were trying to give me and another customer bottom of the pot, inedible, hard food. The last time I went it was a decent experience and the food was hot- only because I told them I would wait for a fresh batch of vegetables and green bean chicken to come up. My son loves the Panda and I like that they offer low calorie options (steamed vegetables) but the service is still pretty bad. I have consistently received poor service from this location. I like Panda Express, but I'm not going to just keep letting this crap slide. Why can't they get my order correct? 4 times out of 5 I will clearly order white rice and I continuously receive fried rice instead. The Broccoli Beef was terrible this last time. Like any franchise location, quality is consistent at least; the good here is usually good as far as Panda food goes. What's not consistent, is service. Which is abysmal. It's Saturday night at peak dinner hour, they're fully staffed and, I stood in line for 15 minutes watching 4 line workers stand around serving one person at a time instead of having everyone take orders. This might be just the way panda does business because, I've seen this phenomenon at other locations but, simply not to this degree. With 6 people behind me 3 workers stood doing nothing for at least 5 minutes while some other customer fumbled with a coupon. Ridiculous. Update on a revisit I had today. With the manager present on a Friday dinner hour service and similar conditions I can say that service was much improved. In and out in 10 min. or so. I'm always greeted with a smile and it appears to be apart of the company's culture because everyone is smiling. They always check on me when I sit at a table. The front door has a blue sticker stating that free wi-fi is available. I came to find out that there is actually no wi-fi available at this location. Sounds like false advertising. The service is decent as long as you are not there during peak hours. If you are there at peak hours, be prepared to stand in line for 10-15 minutes. I have used the drive-thru at this location twice, and it was painfully slow both times. It would have been quicker if I had just parked and gone inside and cooked the food myself. read more

One of my entrees was blk pepper chicken & I dnt like veggies so I asked 4 as less as possible (which my server DID attempt 2 accommodate) but once I picked the remainder out my side entree was significantly depleted. I simply went n asked my server if it were possible n how much more would it b 4 one simple ladle scoop (especially @ the price I paid 4 my meal) n was told my only option was 2 purchase an additional individual side item @$4 (officially bad 4 business) this made me feel as tho I didn't get my bang 4 my buck). This place is horrible. So when it first opened I was so excited to try it and the first time there it was great no complaints, no long lines it was clean. I went back a few months later and went through the drive thru, first the girl taking my order had a horrible attitude and I drove up and got my order, EVERYTHING was wrong. Like seriously you had it right on the screen how did you screw it up. I took it back and got it right and the manager took care of the problem fast and was nice. So I again wanted panda express a few weeks later my order was correct but the soda was horrible, it was missing the syrup so it was just carbonated nasty water. I called and told the manager and he said he would take care of it. My boyfriend a week or so after that went there and the same problem all the sodas were nasty, he tried all of them.... I called the manager again and told them and this time he seemed frustrated on the phone. Ticked me off because I took my time to call you and help you out but whatever. Wasn't going back again. This week my boyfriend went there for lunch same problem, soda machine still not fixed and they screwed up his whole order but it was correct on the recept.... We are never going back. First time I've been to this one, the last time I was at a Panda Express was probably 2011 in Arizona. Anyway, service was good here, selection was good, however, I'm surprised Panda Xpress doesn't have any sort of tofu standing by, ie, General Tso's tofu or something.
