Ordered the chow mein with black pepper chicken and a side of fried rice. The rice and chow mein was very good but the chicken was very fatty and even though it was seasoned the flavor really wasn't there. They do not practice good food safety. Hands empty cups to door dash drivers and expect them to fill them up. That's unsanitary because I don't know where that's persons hands have been and now they have access to the inside of my cup. Door dasher shows up with empty cups. Call to get refund for no drinks and instantly get someone being rude. They tried to make door dash take the blame. I didn't order through DoorDash I ordered through pandas app and as for the cups not being fulled that is supposed to be the responsibility of the restaurant. Depending on the time a day you go you may run into a little bit of a wait, but the employees work quickly and effectively to get you in and out in no time. I come here a handful of times each month. The staff are very friendly but what I mostly appreciate from them is that they seem to add a little extra chicken, beef, or noodles to your order if you happen to get the two entree meal. A huge lover of the Beijing Beef, Firecracker Shrimp, and the classic Orange Chicken too. When a particular entree seems to be running low, it's great due to the fact there'll be a whole new pan of steaming hot chicken or beef or shrimp. Highly recommend the veggie spring rolls in addition. This is probably one of the busiest Chinese restaurants in Hendricks County, however the majority of the time the wait isn't dreadful. My only complaint doesn't come from prior years but going back 6 months. With the hysteria and outbreak of the coronavirus, the Plainfield, Indiana Panda Express tried their best to stay open, although their system was incredibly flawed and just plain bad... Customers would be lined up from the side door, where their order would be placed and paid and picked up, all the way to the other side of the building near GameStop. Sometimes, for some really stupid reason, the line would just be in some disorderly squiggle in the parking lot. I imagine the staff were under tremendous pressure and probably a tad distraught from the combination of the heavy traffic flow to their side door to the uncertainty of the coronavirus. Because of that, they would accidentally get orders confused, names spelled wrong on the orders, and fill the wrong soda in a certain individual's cup. All 3 have happened to me. But not only that, there were so many damn pushy, aggressive, and brutal Door Dash drivers that would raise their voices and raise hell about an order being behind schedule. I mean, maybe an extra dose of effort could have been put forth to getting the customer's order prepared efficiently, yet I'm very against belittling and verbally abusing someone whose likely trying their best. Fast forward to this past June, customers and Chinese food consumers have been given the green light to go inside to place their order. However, here's the catch: Only a maximum of 10 customers at a time are granted permission to come in, you MUST have face protection (ugh...), and don't even think about asking to try a sample of a new food because you will be firmly told no. Minus the bullshit Coronavirus setups the Plainfield Panda Express has enforced temporarily, I love this place and think it's one of the nicest PE establishments I've stepped foot into. read more

Ordered them through Doordash and super regretted it, absolutely will never again. We ordered teriyaki chicken and it had NO teriyaki sauce on it??? We tried to put "sauce on the side" as a special instruction, but it said that "this restaurant doesn't accept special instructions," so I figured that the sauce would just come on the side anyways? Nope. We also ordered 2 small crab rangoons, which is supposed to come with sweet and sour for dipping, and there was none. Doordash also has a promotion $5 off $15, but you couldn't use it for Panda because "this restaurant wasnt apart of this promotion" ? I paid almost $40 for two meals and an appetizer that was super subpar. If you're going to partner with Doordash and provide this as an extra service that customers are PAYING EXTRA FOR, you should make sure that everything is top notch. read more

Sad sad sad, I am disappointed in Panda. It's been a gradual down hill slide in my opinion. They changed their noodles to something that looks and tastes nothing like regular noodles. The rice was so bland, it's no longer fried rice, no flavor or seasoning. I also had the Beijing beef, I like sweet things however, this dish was so over the top sweet and not recognizable as beef but beef jerky. I was a huge fan when Panda first opened their doors, years ago. It went from real food cooked on the premises to processed frozen delivered food that's just warmed up there. It's second rate food to save $$ yet they charge good money. If you do decide to go there, take a good look at what they call noodles now a days. Looks plastic and zero flavor. Good luck! read more

I love this place! I know what to expect; it's not P.F. Chang's or super authentic, but it's tasty and quick! They have lots of options and the food is always hot. In case you didn't know, you can always try a new entree with a sample. It's free! I opt for the plate (one rice, two entrees). I'll admit it - I love "food court" Chinese food. It's a guilty pleasure and I am not ashamed. Panda Express is a pretty darn good representation of that type of cuisine and serves as a worthy substitute when you aren't hanging out at your local airport or mall. Perhaps best of all is that you can check the nutritional information on their website ahead of time, that really helps me make healthier decisions. I found the Plainfield location to be clean, quick, and friendly. The food was served at an appropriate temperature (not to be taken for granted in this genre) and quite tasty. My favorite, hands-down, is their black pepper chicken. It's wonderfully peppery but I do have to take a half point off for the GIGANTIC pieces of celery ...just pick those out and you'll love it, 4.5 stars out of 5. The mushroom chicken and the broccoli beef are very good as well, both 4/5 stars with surprisingly flavorful sauces. Is it the best Chinese food you've ever had? For your sake, I hope not ...but it is a great place to visit when you have a screaming urge for cheap, quick, and (gasp!) relatively healthy "food court" Chinese food. read more
