I've been going to this place for years until the prices went way up after Covid lunch was under 5 dollars and had good portions. It has been a while, so this weekend I had to work didn't bring lunch decided I'd go to Side Wok and was disappointed, the Quality has went way down the Quantity went to about 1/2 and then the prices are double what they were. hard to believe they are still open, they never have anyone setting inside just a lot of to go orders from working people in the complex... without us they wouldn't be here.. The location on Heathrow Way in Indianapolis opened in June, 2025, so keep that in mind when reading reviews older than that since they apply to a different restaurant. Wanted to try something different from my normal Chicken Fried Rice tonight. Plenty of food. Staff was friendly. They are currently only open for carry out and request mask when entering. Overall, very satisfied with my dinner and tonight's experience. Next time, I think I'll switch to the Steamed Dumplings rather than tonight's Fried Dumplings. Good thing is its close to where I live and they serve your food REALLY quick. So convenience is what made me try this place. Prices are good too. But the food was not really impressive. Average at best. I ordered bourbon chicken which was basically swimming in sauce, meat was kinda hard and Chewy and it just lacked delicacy. Also their health score is very low. Dangerously low. Have gotten takeout here at least 5 times in the last 4 months. One of the best bourbon chickens I've tasted in a long time. Tried few other dishes and they were good. Would say above average. My favorite Chinese place closed. I've tried this place 3x ; hoping it will be good. Each time it has been progressively worse!!! This time I got pork with mixed vegetables and the pork was like shoe leather and it was ALL broccoli with a couple of carrots. Also, they cook in so much oil.....way too greasy. This place is tucked beside El Rodeo Mexican restaurant. You almost don't see it. Their Crab Rangoon is the bomb! The wrapper is flaky. The filling is light and creamy. I feel it could have a little more crab meat in it but you can still taste it. Their fried rice is soooo good. I can make a meal of it alone. I normally get the roast pork with Chinese vegetables or mushrooms. It is very tasty. The only thing I haven't enjoyed from there is the Bourbon Chicken. I found the meat to be dry and chewy. This place is very very careful during Covid. Pick up only and chairs for waiting 6 feet apart. The food is consistently good quality and is our go-to for quick Chinese food. We love the beef and broccoli and any of the lo meins. The fried biscuits are good, but eat them while they are hot! read more

I got a lunch portion of the general tso's chicken. The portion was great for the price. I ordered ahead on the app and it was ready right when I specified, very hot too. I like to come here when I'm super hungry and lazy because it's right by my house and they make everything super quick. I normally order lo mein and it's always delicious. This place is pretty good and they're fast and friendly. I really enjoy the general tso chicken and house egg fu young. I must warn you that it is Americanized. So if you are looking for authentic Chinese food this is not the place for you. I would also warn that the "fried" is NOT fried. It's yellow rice with peas and carrots mixed in. read more

This is the closest Chinese restaurant to my house, and I really wanted to like it. Sadly, the first time I ate here, I got very sick. Like vomiting and diarrhea sick. Once I looked up the health inspections, and saw that it was not so good, I knew why. Against my better judgment, I have gotten food here since, and their lo mein is very good, but the General Tso's chicken is tough with watery sauce (and a few weird broccoli pieces). I love this place. Sure it's Americanized Asian food, but it's good and that's all that matters. I eat here every week, and they remember my order. If I place a carryout order "2-C17's" without saying a name or anything, she knows I want one with white rice, and one with fried. If I go in, she automatically knows that I want my usual with light sauce. It's not very often that a place will remember you and their food is consistent from visit to visit, but this place does both. I have been to them for 5-7 years. Always good My wife got chicken w broccoli on a usual no descrip night after work. I got shrimp with hot sauce and pork fried rice. I was fine. She was projectile violently sick within 3 hrs. I called They were concerned. But only said in ten years they have had no complaints. Well guess what? You got one NOW! We ordered sesame chicken, an egg roll, and sweet and sour shrimp. The chicken was tasty, though the sauce seemed a tad thin. The egg roll was yummy but there was a lot of hard, uncooked wrapper inside. And the shrimp were delicious but the batter had gone soggy on us. Overall, there were definitely a few flaws with the food but nothing that ruined our dining experience. For a fast food Chinese craving, it definitely satisfies. Did take awhile to get our food but we walked in at a heavy time and didn't call ahead so we completely understood and the nice guy at the counter reassured us along the way. read more

Their service is awful. The young man who usually runs the counter is rude. If your like me and say please and thank you don't expect a your welcome or anything of the sorts back. Basically you go in get your food don't expect any good costumer service. Now the food is okay I've been to better Chinese restaurants but then I've also been to worse so you can say it's just okay. I absolutely love this place! The food is consistently delicious. I haven't ordered a single thing that wasn't awesome and it's always hot and ready when I arrive. The staff hasn't ever messed up my order either, no matter how large. The menu is that of your typical Chinese place, and as reliable as the menu, so is the cooking. No matter what time of day, I've only ever had a 20 minute wait to pick up my dishes. My only complaint is that the inside isn't a little more inviting. The tables and walls are very bare and bland, so carryout is the typical way I go. But honestly, carryout is all I really desire when it comes to Chinese food anyhow, so it doesn't really impact me at all. If not for their lack of decorations, I would definitely give this place 5 stars! read more
