When you look through the main window and see the order counter up front and only two small tables do not be concerned as there are about 10 booths down a long hall off to the side. Plenty of dine in space. Lunch specials were good. Good enough for us to come back again. I had the pepper steak. It was good; lots of onions and bell peppers. Lunch specials come with fried rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was good, not greasy. She had the sweet and sour chicken. Portions were ample, even for a lunch special. This family run restaurant has really good food. We especially like the hot and sour soup. They are closed on Mondays and they are primarily carry out although there are places to sit but very few. There's no wait service so you will still have to order at window. We order online and pick up at least once or twice a week. You can also call in your order. Thought we would check this new place out for lunch. The food was very fresh, right off the wok, delicious, and reasonably priced. The servings were very big! My shrimp fried rice had a lot of shrimp!! Lady who waited on us was friendly. Bathrooms weren't the cleanest. There is seating for a small crowd. I saw that Grubhub delivers here to Mooresville area for $1.99. Only thing I would have preferred was maybe a real plate, just something other than styrofoam. There is a new Chinese restaurant in the Town Center Plaza that is giving it a go. I believe it to be an independent restaurant, but has all the standard chain offerings that seem to be pretty popular in the area. As part of a strip mall, there is plenty of free parking in the lot. Inside, they have done a complete makeover of the lobby and small shotgun style dining area. Warm yellow walls, black and white flooring and wainscoting, and teal benches make for an inviting interior though it was kept rather dimly lit. I decided to get my order to go and after placing my order and paying, grabbed one of the chairs in the lobby by the window. I didn't see any wait staff, so I believe you are supposed to grab your own supplies from a counter where you pay if you are going to dine in. Otherwise, you should have all the napkins, sauces, and plastic utensils inside your to go bag. I was ordering for dinner, so I selected Egg Drop Soup (thick and yellow, but not much seasoning), crab rangoon (6 in an order and quite crisp with a sweet red sauce), and the peppered steak entree that comes with white rice. The flavor was mild and okay, but the peppers were cut into too large of chunks to be bite sized and I wasn't supplied a plastic knife (which probably wouldn't have cut the peppers). Fortunately, I was able to dump it out onto a plate at home and take care of it. But if you were trying to eat directly from the little white box, you would have some challenge. My wife sampled my dinner and thought that it was okay, but not anything special other than if you simply wanted a quick Chinese to go dinner. I will say that the lunch specials are priced at only $5.50 and include fried rice and your choice of an egg roll or crab rangoon. There are 25 lunch special options listed! Food was delicious and looked freshly cooked. Plus the prices were very reasonable. Not very appealing as far as for a dine in place, but I think there focus is to provide great take out food at a good price. Chinese buffet has lost it appeal to me in the last few years. This will be my second time trying Happy Wok. The first time it was decent. We tried several different dishes to give it a full try. The General Tso's isn't very spicy, so if you expect it hot, order extra spice. The fried rice was somewhat bland, I attribute that to maybe the wok hasn't had a chance to season yet as this this a very new restaurant. We liked what we had and the prices was good. read more

Tried this new restaurant for the first time today. We're so glad it is not a buffet. Very fresh food. My Broccoli with Garlic Sauce was tasty, hot, and a generous portion too. Really hope the restaurant makes it as we were the only people there the entire time we ate in - and it was lunch time. We will return! read more

Maybe I got in on a bad day, but I found the food to be way too mild in flavor. The person was nice, the place was clean, and their precautions on covid are very good. But the fried rice was dirty brown, no flavor, and we couldn't find the pork at all. The beef chop suey was a little better and had a couple bone chips or something in it. Also, I had one bite of beef that was sour (as in not fresh). The kung pao chicken has totally flavorless, and the chicken was mealy tender. We used a 1/2 bottle of soy sauce on everything to get some flavor. Sorry, as they have so much going for them, good reheatable containers, food was pipin' hot, and their location is treat...but they need to season things better. read more

First things first, this place is CLEAN. Stopped in for lunch and had the shrimp in lobster sauce and potstickers (steam fried dumplings). The potstickers had good flavor (a little oily) the dipping sauce was a little bit sweet but still very good. Their egg roll was great and the shrimp and lobster sauce was refreshing and delicious. This is the first Chinese restaurant that I've been to since I moved to Indy that I would not classify as terrible or pathetic, good food good flavor and clean. read more
