We usually order online and arrive to pick up before they say so we can be sure it's hot. Unfortunately 3pm seems to be the lunchtime left overs. We got there at 12:20 on February 15. 2020. The place was filthy. Thrash and food debris were everywhere. They were out of ice. They had 10 or more orders awaiting chow mein because they didn't make enough for the lunch rush. Because of the lack of chow mein, the line was 15 people or more waiting to order. The staff didn't seem to care nor did they apologize for the wait. If there was a manager there you wouldn't know it. Horrible service. So when we consistanlty go to one that always underperforms we know we should be getting better. This is maybe the slowest Panda Express I've ever been to. And it's ALWAYS slow. I've never been in when there are less than 20 people waiting in line. Food is always missing and someone is waiting on something... This is a chain, their whole model is based on serving lasrge amounts of people quickly. I was amazed at the crowd at first giving that it was 8pm on a Tuesday night however I later realized why. As I waited and watched from the car for my roommate to get closer to the head of the line I noticed that the customers were all made up of families with more then 1 child/teenager. Its "back to school" shopping season (Walmart Kholes j c pennys and Payless are also in that shopping center). The food was great as always with big portions and lots of variety . The young adults working the line and registrar were smiling and didn't seem at all stressed or over whelmed by the large crowd. All in all it was a great experience. They have no leadership on this store. I watched a young kid be directed to repeatedly ask customers without masks to leave the store while the manager hid begins the corner. As far as pandas go, this is the worst one I've been to (and unfortunately the closest). They never have anything. No idea what they do all day, but I can sort of understand mid-day emptiness, but not when I'm the first person here and they don't have a single entree out. The covid 19 restrictions have completely broken down any order they might have had. There was not even a line, complete chaos. Didn't have a mask as I was in a friends car. Go in several people don't have masks waiting for food so I think I'm fine. I would wear a mask if I had one but I didn't. Get to the front employee asked me to put one on, I said I didn't have one with me but would be very happy to take a disposable one. (most employees have those blue disposable one use mask on). This has worked the 2 other times I've forgotten. He said they don't provide mask and I have to leave so that was that. Food look good though, on my way to a new spot to eat. Not really the guys fault probably panda express's policy. Most places are really happy to provide a 5 cent mask to make a desperate costumer happy.
