I have tried this panda a few times and been pretty disappointed each time. They do not always have all of the food options but the biggest problem is the food for some reason does not taste fresh or hot any time I've gotten it. I got the orange chicken the first time and thought it was just a one time thing so I got the honey sesame chicken again and same thing. The noodles and rice were not very appetizing either which is disappointing because I LOVE Panda Express. I haven't been able to finish it either time. I hope they look into this issue and fix it read more

We walked in and the young lady smiled and asked what we wanted. She did half and half super greens and fried rice (a great recommendation) fixed our meals and sent us down line to pay. The food was fresh and tasty everyone was friendly. Clean inside and out. We will come back again. read more

Panda Express is okay on food taste, but I can't give three stars since many other similar restaurants warrant those three stars. I've been here twice in about a year and a half. I've tried the honey chicken, sweet fire chicken, and orange chicken as entrees. The noodles were oily on my first visit so I tried the fried rice this time, and it was decent. Generally speaking, when we have placed an online order and picked it up at the store, it has been ready on time. Everyone makes mistakes, but the chow mein felt noticeably dry this time. The same goes for the orange chicken. It felt like it had less sauce. I specified Sweet and sour Sauce and soy sauce to be included but didn't see anything. Don't go here. The drive thru attendant didn't give me my debit card back and I didn't notice until I got home. Took me 3 days of calling before anyone answered and had them take my number down for a manger. After 2 more days of no one calling I finally got a manager on the phone. Visited this location today around 7p. Fairly empty. Steady stream of cars (2 deep only). 5 people behind the counter. 1 person having an order taken. One person asked if I my order had been taken yet. No further action for about 5 minutes. I saw multiple car orders being processed, which normal. What wasn't normal was both front end folks were by the cash register. No one was coming to help me. I guess they didn't want to wait on someone that looked like me? Or couldn't be bothered to tell me it would just be one more minute? In the end, I let the shift leader know I was leaving. There was no apology or an attempt to retain my business. I even explained it was taking too long to just take my order. His non-verbal attitude said that my business was not required. Good to know that classism or racism or just poor manners still exists. This location is very good in every area. The food is on-point, done correctly with the right ratio of ingredients. They stay on top of what needs to be replenished and it is consistently fresh. The service is also efficient and friendly. The orders have been correct each time I have visited and I do place significantly-sized orders. The drive-thru runs well with less-than-expected wait times. Favorite dishes: of course, the family loves the orange chicken. Others include: the sweetfire chicken, the chicken with mushrooms and the Kung pao is quite good with a little kick. I have enjoyed all the shrimp dishes as well. Went to Panda Express 6/17/2024. I ordered the a la cart Honey Walnut Shrimp, it was fantastic. The Shrimp were big and the Honey. Sauce was not overly sweet like Pan Pan's. I did not care for the Chicken Egg Roll, I did not like the strange taste. My husband ordered the Orange Chicken and Black Pepper Chicken he thought it was fair but would not get it again. Since the restaurant's Grand Opening a few months ago, the giant panda bear has played peek-a-boo with me on my morning commute. After a long day at work and salad for lunch (without the chocolate chip cookie, I might add), I was looking forward to American-Chinese (Panda's descriptor, not mine) fast food. The restaurant was pristine. The main entrance opened up to a bustling open kitchen where many entrées, I counted 13, sat in warming dishes. Guests have a choice of one, two or three of those entrées, served with a side. I selected Honey Shrimp, Orange Chicken, and Beijing Beef. The chicken was over cooked, not at all as tender as I would have liked. The crispy coating on the Honey Shrimp had also turned mushy (I was able to rejuvenate the leftovers in the oven the next day). But the Beijing Beef was spicy and tender. Perfect, actually. The chicken egg roll was large and crispy while the chow mein side was just okay. Fried, white and brown rice are also available, as well as a healthier steamed vegetable option. The food was clearly marked and included calorie information. While the line was long, it moved very quickly. If undecided, guests can request a sample. Guests can dine in the large restaurant, in booths, banquette seating, or around a large communal table. As soon as guests finish up, staff quickly cleared and maintained the restaurant to tip-top condition. They patiently answered questions and made everyone feel welcomed. Love Panda Express. Sadly it is a better option to get American Chinese food than most mom and pop takeout places of similar style. This is the closest one to me and I never really have a problem with it outside of the occasional meager portions or overcooked meat. Not a fan of the Honey Walnut Shrimp though (way too sweet). This was my first time trying panda express I am a huge lover of Chinese food or should I say American Chinese food. So I decided to get a carry out after leaving Costco one night. I drove through the drive-through and just got orange chicken with rice. The line was almost out the door and there were a few people also in the drive-through so I'm guessing I would be in for a pretty delicious treat. However, I was pretty disappointed first off they don't carry brown gravy like most Chinese places do in the city I'm not sure if that's just a Detroit thing as I have been out of town before and they to did not have brown gravy. Secondly my chicken was super tiny, again I guess I'm use to the larger "chicken" from the local Chinese places. To top it off it wasn't even sweet... so nevertheless this will more than likely count as my first and last visit. read more

I come here a lot, I love Panda express. The last few times I've been here have been less than stellar. They close at 10 on weekends, not 9, so to start their hours on Yelp are wrong. At 9pm half the line was empty as if they had no plans to refill some of their products, and if I don't see it I'm not waiting. I gave up on a favorite of mine, Mushroom Chicken...it's almost intentional. Also, it seems this late at night with one particular manager the teriyaki sauce is watered down?? Instead of making new sauce? It was absolutely disgusting, and I was really disappointed. Look, I get working in the food business people want to break down as much as they can so they aren't stuck working so late, but it's part of the job. When you "leaving early" or even on time is more important to you than your guest experience, you should probably start looking for a new job. The latter seems to be this persons priority. read more

It's typical fast food Americanized Chinese food. The orange chicken is definitely the staple entree, but for some reason the quality is a lower than other pandas I've visited. The food seems saltier and the breading thickness on the orange chicken is heavier than most. I e eaten pieces where's theirs no chicken just breading. I used the Panda Express app for my first visit and am glad that I did. The line indoors was long for dinner. About 20 or so people in line at the time of my visit. I would highly recommend using their app. I used it for take-out and am very pleased. If you use their app you can choose a time for pick up then pick up under the online order sign near the cash register. As for the quality of Chinese food, I am 1/4th Chinese and would not call this authentic Chinese food. It's Americanized Chinese food. I haven't found good Chinese food in the area that I am accustomed to like my Chinese grandparents served to me. Panda Express fills a void for fresh Americanized Chinese food and frankly their food is pretty good. If I am in the area again I will return. read more

My wife and I recently moved to the area and were out running errands and making multiple stops on Saturday, February 24 and were getting incredibly hungry. We don't eat at fast-food type restaurants hardly any more but when we do one of the few places we will stop at is Panda Express. So, we headed over to the Livonia location to grab a somewhat early dinner and figured we would just bring the left overs home to eat later. Livonia had dealt with three broken water mains the day before and had been under a boil advisory so we were happy to see the restaurant was open and assumed that they weren't having any water issues because other restaurants had closed or had signs on their doors stating that they had no water for drinking but were open. However, there weren't any signs on the door so we figured we were good to go. We were greeted quickly and no mention was made of any ongoing water issues so we proceeded with our orders. I ordered the Sweet Fire Chicken because I was in the mood for something with a kick, the Black Pepper Chicken, the String Bean Chicken and Chow Mein noodles. My wife ordered the Beijing Beef, the String Bean Chicken, the Honey Walnut Shrimp and Chow Mein noodles. We added Spring Rolls and Cream Cheese Rangoons. However, the real surprise was to come when I stepped to the register to pay. I asked for two fountain drinks and was politely directed to a small sign hanging from the register that stated that drinks weren't available because of the water issue. I asked the young lady what my options were and she directed me to the cooler where they had orange juice, sugary teas or sugary soft drinks. I politely explained to her that I can't drink orange juice, and even if I could, I certainly wouldn't want it with my meal that had spicy foods. I also explained that I don't drink sugary sodas or beverages. I know that she had probably been hammered by people complaining all day long so I was patient and polite with her, hoping that she could develop an alternative. At this point, our food was getting cold and both of us were becoming frustrated. We explained that the sign regarding water issues should have been placed on the door where customers could see it as they were driving up rather than on the register after a customer had already ordered.I was ready to walk out and not pay when she said that an employee had left to get water and should be back soon. I asked how much longer it would be and she said that they had been gone for 30 minutes so they should be back shortly. She could tell that we were upset by what had transpired because the water issue was handled incorrectly by the store management from the get-go. However, Karina, who was working the register, offered to comp us the Spring Rolls and Rangoons for the issues that were created and agreed that the sign should be on the doors. We weren't looking for any freebies but Karina was focused on customer service and made us the offer, which was the main thing that salvaged this visit for us.Several other customers had complained as well that the signage should have been on the door so as not to hit the customer with the news after they have ordered and are ready to pay. As a result, the manager finally took the time to put sings on the doors so that customers could be notified of the water situation before entering the restaurant. When the water finally arrived, which was almost 10 minutes after we sat down, Karina made a point of telling the employee that came in with the water to make sure to give us two bottles before putting them on the counter. Again, Karina was displaying a strong customer-centric approach. As usual, my wife and I were pleased with the quality and taste of the food at Panda Express. In addition, we were impressed with the level of customer service that Karina displayed. However, the lack of planning and oversight on the part of the store management was inexcusable. Too many customer issues were created due to the laziness of store management. Taking a few moments to place signs on two doors would have saved a lot of trouble for the workers and, most importantly, for the customers. For those reasons, I give four stars for the food, five stars for Karina's customer service, and zero stars for the store management's lack of oversight and their apparent lack of concern for their customers. Overall, I would rate the experience at two stars. I can recommend Panda Express but I can't recommend this particular location. read more

I've been in a handful of times now, and I'm always pleasantly surprised at how fresh and fully-stocked their line is. They do a nice job serving up their food hot, and they're pretty good about fitting as much as they can onto your plate. The restaurant is always squeaky clean, too. I get the same order every time and the bowl is usually filled to the top and I get really full from it. I went thru the drive thru and when I got back to work to eat my food my bowl was half empty. It was not bad! I was driving by as they were hanging the "Open Now" sign, so I rolled in and checked it out. The Shanghai Angus was tender, and the General Taos chicken was crispy and good. My side was chow mein noodles, which were sort of dry and didn't really compliment the meal much. Had the noodles of had some gravy or were not so dry, this would have been a 5 star, but since it was 1/3rd of my food and taking into consideration I was one of the 1st customers, I will reserve the 5th star for my next visit, once they work out the kinks.
