The patties seem to be hand formed, were seared on a flattop and properly seasoned - good beef flavor. The veggies were fresh and crisp. The lettuce was iceberg leaf, not dreaded shredded. Bigg Burger is my husband and I's go to burger/ fast food joint when we're on that side of town. The burgers are alway fresh and portions huge. The food takes around the same time as Culver's but you can tell its quality. The chicken strips seem like they're breaded in house,l- crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Love this place... however we had a very bad experience recently. We ordered through the drive thru and then no one came to the window for over 7 minutes and we had to go inside. Inside we saw workers standing around . When we got our food it was awful. Fries were hard and cold and burgers were cold and smashed. Very unappetizing. Very sad. I've passed this location countless times, always in the morning, on the way to work. And because it is always in the morning, I've never stopped in. Today was finally the day to satisfy some fish sandwich cravings. The restaurant is small by quick service standards in the burbs, but later on in the day, there was more than enough room for just me and another couple. In addition to the fish burger, ordered with extra pickles, I also selected the french fries (fish and chips, am I right?) and the cole slaw. When I got home, the fish burger was still warm and there were a lot of pickles. Yay! The french fries were sad (see photo) but the cole slaw was cold and creamy. I loved the latter. Never had a bad experience here in many, many visits...until today. Stopped in for lunch and had a less than pleasant meal. The cashier was very hard to understand and even after saying excuse me a couple of times she did not make any effort speak up. The food was also less than stellar. The fries were cool instead of hot which is very disappointing because their fries are some of our favorites. The burgers we got were cool also. I was really impressed by this place. My friend invited me to come here for lunch and I had zero expectations - thought it would just be another typical burger joint. The best part of this place is probably the huge variety of topping choices at no extra cost. For my burger, I got lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, and garlic herb mayo. The burgers are all made fresh to order on toasted buns. The taste was incredible! It was juicy and flavorful. The garlic herb mayo really elevated it. It was just over $3, which is a good deal considering what I got. I also split a Philly cheesesteak with my friend. That one was considerably more expensive ($8), but it was amazing! It was piping hot and filled with fresh lean beef, grilled onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. It does take a little while for the food to be prepared since it's all made fresh to order, especially if it gets busy with other customers. However, it is well worth the wait. Place use to have decent burger but the quality has gone down hill. The burger was hot but the patty tasted off. The lettuce was just sad. The fries were good but were ice cold by the time I got home (no fault of Bigg Burger) so I'd highly suggest a change in packaging so the fries don't lose their heat so quickly. The service was okay and could have been a little better. The ambiance of the store has not changed in over a decade and is due for an update of some kind. Overall for the price it's better than McDonald's but I'd prefer to go sit down at a restaurant and order a good burger. read more

I just stopped in a few days ago and the person at the counter didn't hear that I said I didn't want the meal, so when I cleared it up she started rolling her eyes over and over as she fixed the order (which only took about 30 seconds). We shared a Philly Cheesesteak Combo today and it was fantastic. We took the standard toppings, hold the Mayo, and It's a really delicious sandwich. Super Flavorful and hot off the grill, along with what appears to be fresh cut, hot French Fries. Bigg Burger has a great Hamburger, along with a few other sandwiches which gives them a well rounded menu. My #3 Grandson would probably love their Grilled Cheese sandwich and I know he would love the French Fries! We were both impressed with the friendly employees and the quality product. My wife and I had driven past Bigg Burger on countless occasions, and we finally got around to stopping in two days ago. We both can honestly say that we wish we hadn't waited so long to stop in. As with any restaurant, my wife and I always assess the level of cleanliness when we arrive. I'm happy to say that, unlike a number of fast food restaurants, Bigg Burger had clean floors, clean tables, clean doors, and a clean counter. The menu is not extensive but that's okay because what we did purchase was done right. I had the Bigg Fish Combo, and my wife had the Bigg Single Combo. As an added bonus, there are 28 additional toppings & spreads that you can request on your sandwich. Most are free with only a handful that had an additional charge. From what we could tell all orders are prepared fresh rather than sitting under a heat lamp for hours. My fish wasn't heavily battered, drowning in grease, or overly salty. Rather, the light breading added the right amount of crunch to the tender fish filet. My wife loved her burger, and commented that the tomato was very fresh. We were both very pleased with the thin cut French fries, which were served in a generous portion. The fries were hot, golden, and not overly salty. We loved them so much we opted to begin with the fries! Overall, the good food, clean environment, and friendly employees provided us with a pleasant dining experience. Everything was good, the burger itself lacked flavor; you could tell they were a premade frozen pattie. Condiments were excellent, many to choose from for free, and the cost of extras... bacon, avocado were only 1.49 which isn't bad compared to some places. It's hard not to leave a 5 star review when they got everything right, except the meat was flavorless and that's what we went there for. Fries fresh, and a large fed 2 and we had quite a bit left over. Milkshakes were good and thick but you could tell it was flavoring and not made with fresh fruit for the strawberry or banana shake. The cashier and staff were very nice and friendly- didn't seemed to be inconvenienced because we were there...like most places lately. It was a bit small for seating but it was nice and clean- good for families or a sneaky snack definitely not a date location. Great little hamburger joint. Looks like a chain fast food restaurant but is independently run. My favorite part is the dozens of free toppings and sauces available. However the cashier didn't ask what I wanted on my sandwich so I felt weird asking for everything i wanted... They totally understand how to run a great business and have a diverse menu offering for a burger place. We had burger with (FRESH, not pickled, hallelujah!) jalapeños and my partner had some green olives. He's super pleased as am I. We also had a breakfast sandwich and were blown away by the quality. They take a flakey fresh buttery croissant that is great quality and they butter and grill the inside of it. For the eggs they use fresh eggs and fry them and sandwich the cheese in the middle of them. The sausage was grilled brown, as I asked for it well done. It's like melt in your mouth tasty. We'd love to come back for breakfast. The staff is NICE and polite. They're well-staffed here, and seem to be paying their team well enough for them to care to do a nice job. The bathrooms are CLEAN and stocked with paper towels, and (if you know, you know) the sink water is actually warm. I'm so impressed. Bigg burger is a gem in Metro Detroit, and it's one of those places you should tell your friends about because you're missing out. We live in Troy, and we drive all the way here for a meal here. I've kinda gotten addicted to this place. There isn't anything I've had that I wouldn't get again. Your basic hot dog is good, burger, chicken strips, LOVE the fish sandwich-it's deep fried but not greasy and it's a REAL flaky, lightly battered fillet (not like some other fast food place's fish patty!) and the large serving of skinny fries are good. My all time favorite, tho, is the steak sub--filled with meat, cheese, mushrooms and onions (I skip the green pepper) As with all "fast" food places, it tends to be salty but everything is cooked fresh as you order and most toppings are no extra charge. With a plethora of burger places opening in the Livonia area we decided we needed to run a little experiment. Order the same items from all three places IN the same night, and do a side by side (and burger by burger) comparison. Bigg Burger was our first stop. Used to be a Taco Bell. Still feels very Taco Bell-y, with the whole assembly line thing. Tons of workers, so many that some were sitting at tables and eating. We split a Combo #1 for $7.30 - single cheeseburger with American cheese, light mayo and sauteed mushrooms, small fries and a soda. Very nice selection of free toppings, including sauteed veggies, banana peppers and green olives. Large variety of free sauces too, with some interesting ones thrown in for fun - blue cheese mayo, and chipotle sauce. Cheese, bacon and avocado are the only toppings that cost more money. Extremely skimpy burger patty, and the whole burger was squashed flat. The fries remind me of the kind your Mom would make if she made them from scratch (no Ore Idas) - slinky, greasy and salty. read more

Fantastic burgers! This place may be considered fast food, but the food is made fresh and is high quality! We are able to get multiple toppings(most free of charge!) and then add multiple spreads (garlic herb mayo, Dijon mustard, ranch, etc..). Their app makes it easy to order and fast! The prices are great as well! And the burger patties are thick, so don't believe the reviews saying they are as thin "as wafers". I literally can't fit the triple cheese Bigg burger in my mouth completely. Fries are top notch too! They changed their recipe and are now just as good as Mcdonalds fries, if not better! read more

We went here for the first time today for lunch and are highly disappointed about the food and the service. We ordered the chicken sandwiches and some sides. They repeated back the order exactly how we wanted them as well. We get home and the sandwiches have slim to no sauce on them and no pickles as requested. An extremely bland and flavorless sandwich. Highly irritated as the order was repeated back correctly to then be given an order that wasn't correct at all. Typical lazy fast food service and will not be returning. And these places want $15 an hr? Hahahaha Also the fries were soggy and greasy to the point they were dripping. Ugh read more
