The place is clean and the staff is really nice. Everyone in our group of four really enjoyed their meals. Highly recommend Philly steak, which was packed with flavor, and the salad with mixed protein fresh a great portion size (took leftovers since I couldn't finish it) For next time, even though the food was worth the wait, but I'll think order ahead of time Will definitely order again if I'm in the area. I used to go to NYC HALAL EATS in Troy MI but haven't been in the area and upon googling, noticed it's been marked permanently closed. When I walked in, I noticed plenty of seating in the restaurant, a dessert fridge and a cooler with an assortment of beverages. It was clean but didn't seem like there was any AC, as it was warm inside. I ordered a chicken platter with a side of falafel. I was told it would be around 20 minutes to prepare (the make the falafel cooked to order). Once I finally dug in, I was pleasantly surprised... it tastes better than I remember. The food was fresh, flavorful and plentiful! I asked for the red and white sauce on the side (I'm a dipper) and they gave me two of each. A bottle of water is included in the meal. Order this because someone raved about the restaurant. I can see why they did, it was great food. Unfortunately when I used Grubhub to order my meal we had a lot of issue with them not picking it up on time and delivery. This was not on the restaurant. Even when I called, the customer service of the restaurant was so nice. Made me feel a lot better. I was worried I couldn't give a fair review because my food would not be as fresh as I wanted. However, I tasted the food and was very impressed. I ordered the chicken and steak plate. It comes with fries, rice and a salad and sauces. I opted the salad out. Even thought the order was over a hour late, the food was still good. I was afraid the fries reheated would not be well, but they were so good. I mean all the food was actually really prepared well. The meat was seasoned and you got a good meat amount. The fries and rice were amazing for the dish. I picked the chipotle and green sauce which was very good. My only complaint was I asked for my sauce on the side and they added it to the mix. Not a big deal however because it still tasted ok. I would definitely spend my money here again and again. Great spot that's open late. Greeted with a smile and the cashier was very helpful. The food is reminiscent of NY Style Halal food. Cajun spices on the fries and hot sauce is available to spice things up if you're so inclined. I ordered the chicken gyro. Great flavor and hit the spot after a long day. This food is TOO TIER! I love every once of my Lamb Platter. My partner got the chicken platter, these consist of yellow rice fires a salad and the meat of choice topped with their special white sauce. You can choose no sauce or sauce on the side. I'm a sauce girl so I stick with it and got some on the side as well. The sun had the chicken fries it had a social name but I forgot. We stopped by after a late event, and I was so impressed! I tried the lamb platter and the salito fries. The salito fries were amazing! The lamb on the platter was also yum. I loved all of the sauces. Next time, I want to try the spicy salito chicken bowl. The cheesecakes also looked delicious, and I'm excited to try them when we come back some day. The format is casual with order at the register. They call out the order when ready. The employees were nice. My only complaint is that the menu on TV's was a bit chaotic and hard to navigate for a first timer. I imagine that will be easier to navigate when coming back more often. read more

Delicious! The fries and the sauce were the highlights, but the whole mixed platter was packed with flavor. My daughter and I shared the platter, and it was plenty of food for both of us. I've only ordered takeout from this restaurant, about 5 times over the last few years. The experience hasn't been great. I've had problems several times. The last time I picked up an order, I was given cold fries, which of course I didn't realize until I got home. The food tastes good, but they don't properly serve takeout customers. I've had Halal Guys in multiple locations, including the original in NYC. No clue they had a location in Novi until I found them by accident. This place is absolutely the best I've had outside of the Big Apple. Their mixed chicken/lamb bowl is to die for, and you can't have too much of their delicious sauces (unless it's the red one, be careful). I was going to simply do takeout, but the staff and interior were so nice I decided to just dine in. Excellent restaurant. This was my first time going to this hidden gem in Farmington Hills! The food was outstanding! I ordered the mixed chicken and lamb platter! The generous portions were enough for two meals or two people. The white sauce drizzled over the platter was that extra flavor - yum The red sauce was a kicker. Got a lamb and chicken gyro via Uber eats as it was buy one get one free. The pictures show fries, but evidently fries are not included so I find that super misleading. The lamb gyro was so dry it was inedible. The spicy sauce on the chicken made it not dry, but it definitely wasn't spicy. One of the worst meals I've had in a long time. read more

This was such an awesome find! 4.5 Stars in my heart. 4 Stars on Yelp... because they don't do halves? We were perusing around looking for something to eat and stumbled here. The interior is... okay? The decorations look clean, shiny, and new and are detailed with cities from the local area. Clearly a good amount of effort and money went into completing this vision. The seating area was a little more worn. It seems like they took over this location and just used the existing furniture of whatever came before it. I wouldn't say it looks run down, it's just noticeably not as shiny and new as the decor. Now onto the main event. The food was AWESOME. I ordered the chicken and lamb platter over rice. Every bite was magical and amazing. I really really enjoyed it... even though the chicken was totally spicy and I'm an absolute wimp and it was like playing Russian Roullette because I was in love with the lamb and getting a spicy bite was totally worth suffering through because it was all so good. Sorry. Was that a run on sentence? I'll summarize. Absolutely delicious (but too spicy for a wimp like me). In the future, I'm planning to just order lamb focused dishes. The chopped cheese was also pretty good. Not the best chopped cheese of my life, but still pretty darn good compared to others I've tried. In summary, you should check this out immediately. It's exciting to see Halal options expanding around Metro-Detroit, and we immediately thought of a friend who eats Halal food specifically as a practicing Muslim. Had never tried this place but stopped in because it was on my way home and I was craving something different. I tried the falafel sandwich and it was amazing!! It had a bit of a kick, which I wasn't expecting but didn't mind at all. It came with fries, which I dipped in ranch. I will definitely add this place to my regular rotation for Mediterranean food. The rice by itself doesn't have any flavor. The Fries on this platter cover the stuff underneath so the white sauce doesn't get on the chicken and rice. Maybe I could have told them to arrange it how I wanted so the sauce gets evenly distributed but it was my first time here. Not bad but not impressed . It was super busy granted since it is Ramadan and lot's hangry customers. Decor will greet you with red walls and NYC written all over. Also be prepared to see a strong representation of their beliefs with Palestinian flags from the ceiling to the wall and cooks wearing shirts that reads "From the river to the sea Palestine will be free" On to the food aside from huge portions the flavor is none existent that gets masked with white or red sauce that gets put on everything. You'll definitely get your money's worth here! The portions of tasty food are generous and they were only in their first 2-3 weeks of business when I visited this location. They were doing some photo shoots for some of their food items so they gave us a couple of extra things to try - everything was superb, fresh and hot. This is their second location and I hope it does just as well as the first as it offers a something a little different from your chipotles and qdobas and blaze pizzas for fast casual. So glad I discovered this place! We did take out and got the chicken and lamb over rice and my husband got the steak salito bowl - both were amazing! Their portions are quite generous and it seems most of their entrees come with fries included, which is great. I have had their Philly cheese steak before and it was delicious. The white sauce is perfect and you can get the additional red sauce like the NYC street food carts have, but bear in mind that a little goes a long way! It is SPICY!
