Five stars at Jimmy John's? Here's why. First off this is my first time at this new (recently moved) location. It looks great and is super clean. Second. I mistakenly stopped at that roast beef spot up the road after the gym, and their lobby was locked. Again. At 430pm. So I left. As did two others. No more roast beef for me. Hungry. Third, the service. There were two guys running the show. Drive thru, making the sandwiches and serving the counter. They greeted me when I came in, said one minute (I could clearly see they were working hard). Two minutes later my order was in process. Five minutes later I'm back on the road after they both said thank you. I've rarely seen two young guys working so hard and being so polite. An obviously well run place, and doing their best with the issues finding quality staff lately. No more roast beef for me friends. Oh, and that Chicken Parmesan Wrap was awesome. We'll done. This was my go to JJs for a while now, weekly lunch orders, large orders on the weekends for boating. So, it's disappointing to write a bad review for them today. I placed a delivery order before noon only to call back by 1:30 to cancel the order. I called a couple of other times asking to check on the status as I had 3 of my sons home from work on lunch break. Each time I called I was told something different: "There are 3 other orders with the driver." "There are 9 other orders with the driver." "We can't tell where he is or when he will arrive." I suggested they need to keep the customer informed of the order status and was met with a "we are very busy, have limited workers and you should just understand attitude." Of course, I understand the shortage and resource issues, but that doesn't make it ok to ignore a customer's recommendation or use as an excuse not to provide info/good customer service. You lost a very loyal, kind, usually understanding and gratuity giving customer today. It's a shame! "Freaky fast", those days are over and should be changed to "Shamefully slow". read more

Got yelled at for asking for a bag for my sandwich and chips.. When I apologized and said I didn't want to reach over the counter the woman working continued to run her mouth to me all the way to the door. Freaky fast! I've ordered delivery here a couple times & never thought to review it because I don't review chains too often. But this location is excellent. I've never had a messed up order and am always surprised at how quick my sandwich shows up, plus the deliverymen are always very nice and smiley :) The sandwiches are always FULL of ingredients. read more

I have a really issue with people who do not listen. I needed food for my fathers funeral lunch. I asked for trays to be made for 48 people. They made me a box of 30 small subs. I am so frustrated. Then they could not understand me and I removed my mask and I have never seen such reactions from people. WTF is wrong with our country. No one takes time to listen, care or even help one another. Good Jimmy John's location. The restaurant is clean and YES they are just as fast as they claim to be in their radio ads! I'm totally calling this location if I have a fire at my house. Employees expressed mocking attitude and talked disrespectfully about my order choice in front of me while my sandwich was being made. The team seemed to be showing difficulty in adding my customizations but then went ahead and wrote "not hard" on my sandwich after several minutes of having to explain what I wanted. The order was still wrong. I would suggest not customizing at this location unless you want to be told off by employees and receive terrible service. read more

I'm not really sure what a "Vito" is. For all I know it's a slur against Italians, but what I do know is that it's my favorite sub sandwich on the market. Here's why the Vito is my favorite and why this location makes the best in the area. 1. Sub bread that knows what a sub sandwich bread is supposed to be. It should have a crusty outer layer, with a soft, chewy interior. Not this soft all the way through loaf of bread you get at Subway or some sort of deli roll they throw at you at other places. The sub bread also has a hinged side which stays together; an important component for grubbing on the go. This is sub sandwich bread, by the book. 2. No mayo. I'm not particularly averse to mayo, but it seems like most places can't get the dosage right. Whether on a burger or on a sub, it's either way too much or not nearly enough. Unless I'm at home, applying my own mayo, I tend to avoid it. Plus, I know where my mayo's been. I know it hasn't been sitting out for days on end. This particular sub works great without mayo; just a little salad oil. 3. Bread to toppings to meat ratio. The bread, fixin's and meat work in concert. None is more dominant that the other. I don't get sick of any one element halfway through the sandwich. 4.Hot peppers are a standard option. The menu suggests ordering the sandwich with hot peppers. I take this advice most of the time (some days I'm not feeling as spicy as others) and these add a nice dimension without overpowering the sub. read more

Not a great experience. I ordered 1 sand which, 1 large coke, 1 large Sprite, chips and a cookie. The driver took 50 minutes to arrive, and only brought one drink. (I live within walking distance of this location.) So I called the store to tell them. The person who picked up told me that they were really busy, only had one driver, and that he had 5 orders to deliver. Understandable, so I asked for a refund. Then she put me on hold for a few minutes and when she came back, told me another driver arrived and that he can bring the drink that the first person forgot. The other driver arrives, and brings a medium Sprite... I ordered a large. An hour ago. I could have walked back and forth 3 or 4 times, to avoid the delivery charge I was charged AND the $5.00 tip I graciously left. (I completely understand that stuff happens, and maybe it was a chaotic afternoon for the store. And it's JUST a drink... But it's the simple fact that I paid for said drink, paid for the delivery of drink, and tipped them well over 20%, and they had not one chance, but two chances to make it right.) read more

I ordered my food and the total was 19.25 I gave him a 50 and he gave me 18 dollars back and I gave him a 3 dollar tip and he gave me the 18 and he legit ran off. He new something was wrong and he drove off so fast and i ran after him and he took off. I called jimmys back and told them and he came back 10 minutes later with 10 dollars back. The first thing that I noticed as I entered this place was its cleanliness and the smell of the warm fresh bread. This place looked spick and span! One of the staff member was constantly cleaning this place. No bread crumbs or lettuce pieces on the floor, under or above the tables. The staff was so friendly! When I told them I was a vegetarian and requested they change their gloves and use a clean knife, they did not even blink. They immediately did it. Not just one person but about three of them working at the station. And what a sandwich! Imagine fresh bread, crisp finely chopped lettuce, the guacamole was spread in between cheese slices. This way when you bite into the sandwich the guacamole doesn't ooze out and the whole sandwich remains intact. What a fantastic idea! And finally at Jimmy Johns please use your fingers to eat! They don't have any plastic forks or knives. I bet they have less garbage to dispose except the wrap around each sandwich :) read more

Husband ordered me lunch and had it delivered to my office. My husband had to repeat the order three times bc the guy who answered didn't speak English. So my order sat there at the store for 30 mins even though it was a delivery. Call back and they said sorry were sending them out now and delivering it. They drove right around my office building and LEFT. I called back livid and the driver had gone back. They finally sent him back and my sandwich was warm. They voided it but I am never ordering from that location again! read more

Stay away!! The manager was behind the counter and stomped on a cock roach, and looked up to see who was looking at him. Disgusting. Trashed my food and left. Where is the health department? This place is not sanitary at all. They need to clean up whatever is going on behind closed doors. Terrible. Bad for business. The manager is supposed to be a leader and keep the store clean. I love JJ's, but this one is just bad. The one on 8 Mile and Farmington is great though. Apparently that location hires people who can read. Wish I could say the same for this one. They've screwed up a number of my orders and the sandwich makers get attitudes when they screw up. When I finally complained to JJ's corporate after 3 wrong orders in a row, they made it right with a gift card. I'll be back...just not to this location. read more
