I am in awe at how many dishes the Panda Express in Kahului has regularly available. Their staff is always hustling to keep the food from running out. Panda Express is what I would refer to as "Chinese-ish" Chinese food. But it's quick, easy, affordable, tasty and offers dine-in or takeout as well as online ordering. My regular favorites at Panda Express are the: - Honey walnut shrimp - Eggplant tofu - Shanghai angus steak - Mushroom chicken I'm not a huge fan of the side dishes like the noodles and the fried rice. I usually end up getting the mixed veggies instead, which are a pleasant surprise, as they are quite tasty. Panda Express is a good value for what you get. They even give you the nutritional information for all their dishes in the event you are watching calories or have food allergies. read more

I don't expect much from these type of boxed, fast-food places. It's either you like it or don't. I'm glad that they offered heath conscience menu items such as the string bean chicken and broccoli beef (my staples actually). Not really a fan of the other choices, but they are more than happy to let you sample to help with your decision-making. All entree levels come with the standard side of fried rice, noodles... and I think white rice too but don't quote me of that as I've never asked. You're able to half your side too and have both fried rice and noodles! I like it, it's cheap, it's delicious, and it's healthy if you choose wisely. Recommended! read more

Panda Express - Fast Food Near Me - Kahului, Hawaii

Went through the drive-thru and ordered a bowl with steamed rice and orange chicken. There was a ton of rice and only 8 small pieces of chicken. Don't go if your hungry! read more

I usually enjoy eating at Panda Express but today it was a little off. The standard fried noodles tasted like propane exhaust fumes. Not sure how that happens. The hot peppers in the Kung pau chicken were all burnt black. Usually they're a blackened red. The beef broccoli was very salty and broccoli was over cooked. Oh well. At least the place is clean, and I appreciate that they recycle their beverage containers. read more

This is by far our favorite place to eat in all of Maui. Have been coming here for 13 years and we have always been treated with a welcoming hello and smiles. Over the years this has become our "Cheers". We simply love the manager and the staff and how kind they always are. It really is hard to find a place on Maui that values their customers like these folks do. The food is always hot, fresh, consistent, soo yummy, and very affordable. The customer service is always top notch and friendly. My son is 11 years old and this is his first choice of place to eat at, and has been his whole life. We recently had a chance encounter to meet the owners of the franchise. They were so kind and so gentle that you would never even know that they were billionaires! It just goes to show the old adage that the captain sets the tone for his ship is sooo true. The attitude of management/the owners is everything and sets the stage for how employees treat customers. Our family is very grateful and love our Panda Express! read more

I walk in to order 1 tray of chow mein and they were able to cook it in less than 10 minutes. The price is affordable and the location is very convinient to my workplace. I will defenitely recommend this location for your future event. read more

Panda Express has a variety of entrees and portion sizes to accommodate any event. I always served their food for small family gatherings, business lunch, and holiday events. The food is tasty and affordable. This location is convinient to my home and workplace. I just give them a call or order it online and it's ready for pick up. read more

Normally the food is good but after today we won't be back. Ordered chow main, tofu eggplant and sweet fire chicken for lunch and a few hours later was in the bathroom the rest of the day. Sad but won't take a chance again. read more

It may be the management or the crew but this is the best Panda Express. Mahalo for a great meal everytime

My kids love Panda Express as do we. The few times I have been here since moving to Maui, the food has always been fresh and the workers have always had great hospitality. read more

I come here pretty much every day. Even before I became a regular I was always greeted as soon as I came in, served quickly and kindly, and the entrées at this location are always fresh. The dining room and bathroom are well-tended to, and the staff are always courteous and friendly. This is honestly the most excellent experience I've encountered dining with Panda Express. read more

Went to Panda Express Kihei during the Covid 19 and was really impressed with their service and concern for the safety of their customers. They kept social distancing, all wore masks, made sure everything was clean and did it all with a smile. Lili, the manager, was right there with her employees, making sure everything was right, that customers were happy and that your dining experience was great. Next time I went back the experience was exactly the same. Food is always good and tastes even better when the experience is great. Thank you Lili and everyone else. I will be back soon! Average Panda Express - which is not a bad thing! The orange chicken was delicious and was not too expensive. Sadly, they were all out of chicken when we came to order, but they were in the process of making more, so we got it fresh out of the fryer after waiting for a few minutes. Everyone seemed really friendly. A little more expensive than I can remember (it was about $10 for two scoops of orange chicken with fried rice) but for fast food I was really satisfied. read more

I love Panda Express - mainly because they apparently don't use MSG. This location stands out like a sore thumb -- the food is tasteless here. :( And I really tried multiple times to make sure since they do have a great location with outdoor seating. But to no avail -- still sucks. Avoid. read more

Worst customer service EVER! If you're going to lie to my face be significant and hide the evidence. I went in at 9 pm I asked for mixed veggies and GIRLIE told me they are out of vegetables but hello I can see your fridge it's full of veggies. So I let that go then I asked if they were going to make more egg plant with tofu and GIRLIE said they are out of eggplants. Rude! I can see it in the fridge. And the cooks where cooking more Chow Mein and other entrees. I'm so disappointed, was she too lazy to have them cook they had an hour more and they were busy. I used to work in Kihei Panda and if a customer wants something we don't have, the cooks will cook it..... GIRLIE the rudest/sassy manager EVER! read more

I wonder why they changed from mixed vegetables to broccoli cabbage and kale....I hate kale! So disappointing....won't go there!

If you hungry I would say you better go else where sit in line 30 mins got to window and they did not have food I ordered what the hell if you got line on Friday around the store how could you run out of food...what a fucking joke read more

We get there and they are nearly out of tofu. I tell them I will want two orders, and they say OK. Someone finally gets around to taking our order, and when I say I want two orders of tofu, they look at me blankly. I ask if they are making more tofu, and they call back that they need more tofu, which they never started in the first place. I then ask for 2 egg rolls, and am told they will bring me my order. When I get my order a few minutes later, there are no egg rolls and only 3 pieces of tofu to 18 pieces of eggplant. I ask for more tofu, to balance out the eggplant, and they refuse, saying they'd have to charge me more. I ask them again why I have 18 big pieces of eggplant and three small slivers of tofu and the woman insists that's actually too much tofu. After a moment of reflection, knowing this was a losing battle, I eat my meal and leave, vowing to never come back. Every other Panda Express I've been to (on the mainland) apologized for not having a full tray of tofu and even gives me a little extra for the hassle, especially if I have to wait several minutes for them to cook up another tray. My husband, who was given heaping piles of meat for the same price I was charge for heaping piles of eggplant, left with a satisfied belly. My tofu-hungry belly was not happy. Rude service, leaving empty trays of food unattended, and simply for poor service I give this place 2 stars. At least the chow mein and fried rice were ok. read more

The personnel at Panda Express are true to their word. They sent us two $10 cards in the mail. We used one at the Pearl City location and one at the Kaneohe location. At both of THESE Panda Express locations, food was up to their usual fine standards! read more

Panda Express , great food my brother got me the honey chicken really good, I also enjoy the drive through ,

I haven't had any problems at this Panda Express. I do enjoy that it has a drive thru for your convenience! Sometimes it can get busy inside. This location is right next to Walmart and Target, a great place after doing some shopping. I most always get the chow mein and beef broccoli in a panda bowl. For a $1 more, I would also get cream cheese Wonton. The orange chicken, honey shrimp and chicken mushroom are also great entree choices. read more

Like you've never been to a Panda Express before... The Mandarin Chicken is pretty much the same as the Mandarin Chicken you got at the Panda Express in Freehold New Jersey. I'll tell you what though, this is one of... if not the cleanest Panda's I've ever seen. That, and they're in Maui. So they have that going for them too. The staff also seemed pumped up too. They showed a little pride, which is always a good thing. Auf. read more

What a joke! Ordered on line and paid for it as a pick up order. They couldn't find it, once they did they said it was delivery when email clearly said pickup! Then they didn't have the new pepper beef they have advertised all over TV! Then they showed it unpaid when we paid on line. What a mess! Never again! Not worth the frustrations! Too many good local restaurants to choose from. Never Again. read more

Food is consistent and service is quick. The dining area needs to be attended to better and cleaned more often. The drive thru usually has a long line so I just walk in to order. I go there about 2-3 times a month. It's nice that they add new menu items every so often. read more

I have been CRAVING shrimp and was SO excited for our family meal. We paid $1.50 more for shrimp and $1.50 more for Angus Beef. It was so disappointing to see the shrimp container HALF FULL when I got home... ESPECIALLY after paying extra for it. $53 for dinner... crab rangoons were burnt with barely any filling too. I know $1.50 is not that much more, but we didn't even get a whole entree. :( read more

Everything was good! Only wish they had plates for those dining in rather than disposable styrofoam.

10/2/17: Why do I keep going to this place? Oh yeah it's because there are no Chinese restaurants on this island! What's up with that?! Anyway, Panda Express is the only Chinese option. One thing that ticks me off is I get the same thing every time I go in but depending on the cashier, the price is always different for the EXACT SAME ORDER! Why?! I know when I go in there I can expect to pay between $12 - $16 for my same order. I have tried comparing receipts to see how it being rung up but as I said it appears to be cashier dependent. The food is decent and satisfies my Chinese cravings but I just want to know why I pay different prices. read more

I would give them even 0 for such a bad customer service. Five people opened my box of food and even counted how many shrimp I got. Disgusting! read more

Horrible experience! I will never ever go to this Panda Express again!!! I came in around 9:15 pm, tired from the beach with a friend of mine. We ordered and got our food- ( the employees were very rude and snotty even from at first) and I attempted to pay with one of my 20 dollar bills and the bitch told me it was fake- I held it up In The air and showed her the face in the bill- and she proceeded to examine it herself- putting the bill in the air while holding another bill behind it! She accused me of giving her counterfeit money without testing it with one of those counterfeit testing Markers. It felt as if they were coming up with any excuse not to serve us so they could close early. Very very rude bitches!!!!!!! I went to a different restaurant after and used he same 20 dollar bill with no issues at all. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME read more

This is the best Panda on Maui. The fried noodles are great and food is always hot and fresh. Can be busy but worth the wait.

Horrible timing!!! It shows that they are closed at 10pm... Tonight we went there 10 minutes before they closed and found them cleaning. It seems they were cleaning for a very long time. Bad idea... I'll stick with Lahaina's Panda Express! read more

Bad Food, Bad Service, No Restrooms: Upon entrance, we noticed a line even though there were many employees behind the counter. Our plates were handed to us by the server prior to payment, causing the cashier to ask for them back to charge us. At most Panda Express restaurants they keep the plate/togo box on their side of the counter until paid. The bathroom had an out of order sign on it, but they unlocked the door for different individuals. After eating, we asked for the key to the restroom, but the assistant manager refused due to the toilet not working. She stated the bathroom is out of order and you should use the Walmart store bathroom instead. She explained that she and her staff all use Walmart bathrooms. The assistant manager was rude, making fun of us with her coworkers regarding our request to use the bathroom. They thought is was funny! After asking for the Panda Express company phone number, the assistant manager provided a store phone number without a manager name. She said they do not have the company phone numbers. The floor was dirty in the building. Shortly after eating, two in our group got sick from the food (the fish was bad). It should have been obvious to us that in a dirty store, you get food poisoning too. I looked up the company phone number online and made a complain. They apologized on behalf of the store. 800-877-8988 is the number to call. I did not ask for a refund, but just wanted to be heard. read more

Worst pandas ever!!! Horrible customer service workers avoid eye contact to avoid helping you while they chat with each other you feel like the person who ends up helping you is forced to and they let you know it with frustrated body language and impatient gazes they lazily slap the food onto your plate and serve it to you like a prison meal.
