I'm not going to judge this place based on the food because it's a chain. But sue me if I did not have the rudest experience with the cashier there just 10 minutes ago. I go to pay for my food and he asks me if I want to donate 23 cents to some charity to which I quickly replied "no thank you". Not rudely, just before he had finished speaking. This clearly hit a nerve with the cashier because as I was off to the side checking my wallet he asks the customer behind me if he would like to donate as well. The man says "No" and the cashier replies in the most snide, passive aggressive tone, "well, thank you for at least letting me finish...". I looked up, realizing what this cry baby man child had just said and all I could say was "...really? Wow". I was at a loss for words. The clearly very delicate employee POUTED and quickly walked away as to avoid confrontation. I've worked for many customer service jobs before but I never behaved like that. This is an amazing location of Panda Express. It was a busy Saturday night yet we were greeted and welcomed as soon as we walked in. The food as always was fresh and hot and we were provided with samples of yummy beijing beef and honey shrimp with walnuts. I ordered both in my dinner box. Another thing that makes this location special is the manager, Jerrylyne. She remembered us from a prior visit, was so warm and friendly. The food is so good that when I heated up my leftovers the next day it was still great. Everyone that works there is helpful, the place is kept immaculate even when every table is taken and there are people ordering. read more

This Panda is by far the best Panda location to go to in LA. They have the best customer services, and are not stingy with their portions. I have gone to this location for about a year now, and whenever I try another location, it just gives me more reason to come back here. I have a weakness for Panda Express...and I'm in Hollywood a few days a week so I was happy when I found one in the neighborhood. I am not a vegetarian, but I've been trying to eat more vegetarian options....I was looking forward to having my favorite, Eggplant Tofu...Once I was ordering I found out that they don't carry it. I asked the person serving me and he ended up seeming like the manager. I told him that I'd like to give him a customer's opinion that they should carry it...or have some other veggie entrees (I know they have mixed veggies as a side dish). The guy told me that he used to have Eggplant Tofu but he was losing money so he gave it up. I was surprised...the manager didn't care at all about my concern or issue...and I felt dismissed in a rude way. I'm sure that Panda Express makes a lot of money, so I imagine they can deal with making their menu slightly more inclusive so that others may come in and enjoy it. Many places have a veggie option as a courtesy to their guests. read more

This is a clean Panda food is almost always fresh and hot. I see the cook chopping fresh veggies and cooking what appears to be fresh food in the Wok. I like the taste. A friend from China said that she thought it was good. Kinda like generic fast food Chinese, but good and fairly authentic. Every time I go here, I'm always greeted with a warm smile and offered to taste an item. The food is fresh and satisfying. My favorite is the 2 item combo: half chow mein and half vegetables as the base, with orange chicken and beef broccoli. Hmmm Good. Nom, nom nom! Although parking lot needs more spaces for so many patrons, I find it much quicker to walk over and not hassle with the parking situation. Other than homeless people either begging or lying down by the entrance to this Panda Express, my experience has always been good. read more

I went to this Panda location on Wednesday night and got there 15 minutes before they were going to close. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed by Evelin. There weren't a lot of options left because it was near the end of the night but she offered to make me a fresh batch of whatever I wanted. This was amazing to hear. I've been to other Panda locations where employees tell you that what you see is all they have left. I was waiting for my friends to arrive and in the meantime, I was talking to Anthony about healthy eating and he was very informative about Panda's menu and what the healthier options were. My friends arrived and they wanted items that were not currently out but again, all of the employees collectively (including Jhonson, Joseph, and Erik) made us feel like it was no big deal and that they would make the food fresh for us. It was basically closing time and I'm sure they all wanted to go home, but they all had such a warm, welcoming, positive vibe and it made us feel really great as customers. I can say hands down this is the best Panda Express I've ever visited. I'm a customer service snob and I always pay attention to service when I visit restaurants. This is a great team and I will definitely be returning to this location again. This is my first Panda Express ever! Well I want to say this Chinese fast food joint is just so amazing and I would like to see on in Europe. Food was just delicious and big variety of different choices and toppings! The also let me try and sample all their plates, so i know what i want. Lady was extremely gorgeous and friendly to me. I rarely write reviews that are not positive, as I'm a really understanding patron who would rather give employees/establishments the benefit of the doubt if my experience is less than great; however my experience at this location was very poor. I ordered online ahead of time, and when I arrived at the store and went straight to the "Online Order Pickup" sign, I was rudely greeted by an employee commanding that "the line starts over there." She spoke over me when I tried to explain I ordered online and kept rudely demanding that I move. After my partner was finally able to say we ordered online, she said there was no receipt of it on their end and she couldn't help at all. I had my confirmation email, which had the store information (to ensure I had the correct store), my order details and proof that I prepaid in full. At the mention of my email, the same employee interrupted me again and very curtly began explaining that if there was no receipt, there was nothing she could do. The whole interaction was horrible, as neither my partner nor I could get a word in to politely ask or explain anything, because she would curtly and aggressively say the same thing over and over again, and was getting increasingly louder and even more rude. I have to stress that what I have a problem with is not that the food order didn't go through, but that I was responded to as if I were already being a jerk, belligerent and not listening. Working in service, I know that guests can be exactly the way she was treating me, so I was careful to convey that I was only trying to understand the situation and work towards a resolution. This employee, who's name was too long to remember at a quick glance, was unreasonably brash and aggressive with her treatment of my partner and me, without hardly allowing us to speak. Technology issues happen; I totally understand! But there was no reason for us to be treated this way. When things finally got resolved, the employee kept insisting to prove to me that the pickup time on her receipt was later than mine had said, which I happily and thankfully understood the first time she said it. However she kept insisting to prove it to me, as if I were angrily insisting on proof, which, again, I wasn't. Honestly, I've never been treated so rude at an eatery before... Which is really surprising. HOWEVER! I have to say that DEVIN, another employee, was awesome. The whole time, he kept trying to accommodate us as best he could, kept trying to hear us out every time the other employee would shut us up or cut us off, and was altogether just an awesome and sweet employee who really had the guest in mind. The poor guy was doing everything he could to fix the situation but was being constantly sabotaged by the brash employee (who appeared to be his supervisor...poor guy). His efforts did not go unnoticed. Even the smallest gesture of offering us a free drink while we waited for the food after the whole hullabaloo was over made a difference, which sounds stupid...but it was nice to feel like someone cared that the situation was ridiculous... I understand this location is pretty new but it's hard to believe that they would hire newbie cooks as well. The food is usually stale or too squishy. I had the orange chicken which is very popular, and it was horrible, it was super tough to eat and had this weird taste blahh. The chow mien was burnt and the steamed vegetables were cold. It's about a block away from me so when word first came out that the small plaza was going to add a panda i was like yippee! now its like -.- oh its not good. I hope they get better!
