Went in today specifically to grab a snack because I had a free small entree as a birthday reward on the app. I told the guy who helped me that I just wanted the small entree and picked what I wanted. He put the chicken in the container and then rung it up. I pulled up the code for the free small entree and scanned it. At first he said there was something wrong with the system which I get because the app was running slow. He had me pull the code up again and when I scanned it he said, you have to buy an additional item. I said it doesn't say that anywhere on the app not on the coupon and I showed him. He said he was the manager and if I wanted the free small entree I would still need to purchase another item. I walk out without anything and I won't be walking back in again. They had all of three customers in the entire place while I was there. I hope that small entree was worth losing my business. There are a ton of places to choose from in that area. The store had an area roped off for repairs and the floor needed to be swept and mopped. read more

Although I have eaten at Panda Express before this the first time I have reviewed it. This time I had my order to go. I ordered the original orange chicken, chicken and mushrooms, beef broccoli, chow mein and three chicken egg rolls. All of the food as always was very delicious. I just love coming to Ppanda Express and I have dine-in in this particular restaurant and it's always clean, staff very friendly and polite. This location is almost always super slow filling orders and clearing lines. It's also very annoying placing small simple online orders 20 minutes in advance, only to arrive and still have to wait. This has occurred many times to the point I discovered I'm more likely to be served faster if I get in the long wait line instead. The staff usually apologizes, but it never changes. I walked in today, which is my final visit based off what witnessed. Mind you, once again the wait was ridiculous. There was only two members serving food and only focusing on the first customers massive order. Staff should logically leave that order for one member while the other handles the next customers. Regardless, as I waited I observed a female worker on break in the customer area. While I waited she was able to finish her break. She put on her apron in the corner and began picking her teeth with her bare hands in a mirror. Then she proceeded straight into serving food!!! She never washer her hands or anything! Very sweet employees but always understaffed when needed a larger team. Theres never any chow mein ready and i was told 7 minutes and i waited almost 17 minutes for a box of chow mein. When I'm craving some delicious orange chicken and fried rice, this Panda Express is my default. The service here is very professional and efficient. Typically, when I order Panda, I get a plate to-go with half fried rice and half chow mien with orange chicken and sweet fire chicken. The fried rice and chow mien are both excellent. They both have a good amount of seasoning and they are flavorful. Also, the orange chicken here is very crispy and has a good balance of spice and sweetness. My only complaint about the orange chicken is that it sometimes tastes a bit dry. The sweet fire chicken is a lot juicier, but it is usually drenched with sauce, which makes it a bit too sweet. Overall, this Panda Express is very clean and friendly, I would recommend coming here if you're craving some tasty fast food. read more

This caused a line to build up. I had already ordered my meals but was waiting on orders of teriyaki chicken since they were out. The lady on the register went ahead and checked me out anyways. This pushed me further ahead out of line even though I was still waiting for my teriyaki chicken. Once the teriyaki chicken was done, they forgot to add any sauce. This location was our favorite, employees were always nice and smiling, food constantly prepared fresh, good portion size, restaurant clean. Well, the place is under new management, and is evident, we all know when you order an item with shrimp you have to pay $1.25 extra ( And it's ok) but the portion I received today was ridiculous, the server give me 4 pieces, less than half the spoon she used. The manager in a pretty rude way told me That is the way they are serving the food now because the location has food cost problems. I live in Grapevine and my closest Panda is in Southlake, but their food is very seldom acceptable. I've had a few good meals from them but am sick of their hard orange chicken. I had delivery from Euless once and it was great. I tried them again today and it was great. Everything was more tasty than Southlake and my orange chicken was like it should be. The fried rice had vegetables like they show in their ads and the chow mein had vegetables. I never had that in the Southlake store. The portions in the Glade Ave store were larger If this Glade Ave store continues with their superior food, I'm their new customer. Plus the employees were very nice. I've been to this Panda Express several times and the food and service has always been consistenty better than average for Chinese fast food. The broccoli beef is one of my favorites. However today there was one major problem - the air conditioning was out on a day with temperatures in the upper 90s. It was sweltering inside the restaurant. One of the workers apologized to me. I felt bad for the workers having to spend a shift in what had to be 100 degrees. They didn't even have the benefit of fans to give a little relief. I just arrived to this Panda Express. I drove 6 hours from South Texas. I ordered the bowl with chow mien and honey walnut shrimp. Erica dishes out my chow mien and shrimp, no walnuts. I asked if she could put walnuts in it (honey walnut shrimp. I figured I get both. Especially for the 1.25$ additional charge). As she puts the walnuts in she takes the shrimp out. I've never ever had anyone take food OUT of my dish. So I asked why she did so. Her reply was "I can only give you 7 shrimps" Oh no. Thank god you counted how much shrimp I had in my food that I'm paying for. You wouldn't want to lose your fast food restaurant license that you got with your degree. When I'm working on 911 calls and have a patient in the back of my truck I don't count how many blankets they have and take it away saying "You can only have 1 blanket". I am a huge Panda Express fan and it's hard for me to rate a Panda at only 2 stars, but since this is a site-specific restaurant review, I digress. My wife and I stopped in here on Saturday night at around 9pm, about an hour until they close, for some quick gourmet Chinese food from Panda that we have come to know and love...and boy was that a mistake! We waited in line for about 30 minutes while the 1 manager helped us with our orders and the 1 cook prepared all of the food, which they didn't have ready. When we first arrived, there was already a guy waiting for 1 egg roll, 2 guys waiting for fresh orange chicken and 2 egg rolls, and a family of 3 waiting on fresh fried rice and you guessed it, 3 more egg rolls. Count em, that's a total of 6 egg rolls that were having to be made in front of us, and we were a total of 6 people back from them...you do the math, and anyway you figure it, we weren't getting an egg roll this night. I ordered the orange chicken and the Beijing beef and of course I had to wait until the high-school age cook decided to listen to the manager and make some more. My wife ordered mixed vegetables and some beef medley and lucky for her, they had plenty of that waiting under the heat lamps, so she made it though unscathed. As we slowly move through the line towards getting our drink, the ice gets all jammed in the ice dispenser and the manager lady yells at one of the kid-workers to go and get more ice..yet that wasn't the problem, the ice that was ALREADY in there needed to be unjammed, and when I let her in on this secret, she proceeded to chew out the kid-worker for not breaking up the ice when he had put it in. "LADY, this isn't the time to re-train this high school sophomore on how to distribute ice, I want to get my food and lemonade and LEAVE!!" As we were leaving and I was muttering to my wife about how I was going to destroy them on Yelp, she overheard the manager telling the lady behind us that they get mad rushed at close everyday because people don't want to eat Chinese food when it's 100 degrees so they wait until it's much later and cooler...so, you've known about this everyday, yet you still didn't prepare well enough to have food in the waiting?!?! Please, if you are going to visit this Panda, go during the early evening hours or at lunch...AVOID the 9 o'clock rush! read more

Oh why only 2 stars for a place whose food I love??? Inconsistency!! I come here at least once a week for the past several months..maybe even a year. Anyway, I always get the SAME thing...the 2 entree plate with mushroom chicken and black pepper chicken, my sides are the lo mein and mixed veggies. Seriously EVERY SINGLE TIME they are OUT of the mixed veggies. Ugh annoying. Now granted they are more than happy to make some more, which is awesome but I'm on my lunch. So for me to wait is cutting into my lunch break that is only 30 minutes. Not Cool. I come here between 2 and 4 pm after the lunch rush..its never busy in there so WHERE are the MF veggies?? It drives me crazy. As far as the entrees go..I've learned over my previous visits that you have to request mostly meat when they put it in the container otherwise you will be left with mostly veggies and a couple scraps of meat. Just a little word of advice :) They are happy to fulfill that request but you DO have to ask. The emplyees are cordial, nothing fabulous as far as customer service goes. The restaurant is pretty clean a majority of the time. Panda is pricey...I know that, you know that, and its not going to change. The food here is quick and easy. I really like the mixed vegetables as a carb free option. Today when I went in the girl at the register was beyond rude when i told her i did not want to donate a dollar to their charity and threw my bag at me.
