I went to this location last night and ordered a three-entrée combo. I went home and couldn't find the third entrée, which they put in a little red box. Went back and showed my receipt to Jason, who had prepared my order. He looked me straight in the eye, smiled, and said "I'm sorry sir, that's my fault. I'll be right back with your entrée." Later, I found the missing entrée on the floor in my kitchen. I almost went back a third time to thank him, but the restaurant had closed for the night. Went back to Panda Express recently with my son and I honestly thought it tasted better than I remembered! We did a large plate with three meats: chicken mushroom, beef broccoli and orange chicken with noodles and rice. The rice wasn't spectacular but the rest was honestly tasty. Terrible experience with an employee named SAGE. She kept CHATTING (chismis) directly in front of the uncovered food while preparing orders, which is EXTREMELY UNHYGIENIC and unprofessional. To the Panda Express owner/management: if you're short-staffed and can't replace her, then at least keep the food covered with lids or sneeze guards whenever possible. Food safety should always come first otherwise you'll get a Lawsuit. I understand that management trains its employees, but training only goes so far if an employee ignores basic professionalism and hygiene standards. Your chef worked quickly and efficiently, but SAGE spent more time chatting ("chismis") than providing good customer service. Bad experience in this location had a very disappointing experience at this location. I was given the wrong sized drink and also missing my cheese rolls I told her about it and her response was omG I also order a small drink and she give me a large drink which they charge me for it I ask her I want the small drink is for my nice she 3 years old and again her response was OMG and she give me the medium drink I was like really! don't you understand what I was saying I can't not believe it , and when I brought it up, the employee didn't handle it professionally. Instead, she was talking about the situation with a coworker while I was still sitting there eating with my niece , which felt disrespectful. What made it worse is that there appeared to be a manager present, but nothing was done to address the issue or improve the situation. Fully agree with the recommendations. The staff is on point with a perfect balance between efficiency and friendliness. The food tasted great and meth a healthy threshold of freshness you expect but don't always receive at every location. Came in for a quick side order and instead of getting what I paid for. I waited in line for over 10 mins while the cashier helped another customer, at the register, with a coupon that didn't exist. The cashier didn't acknowledge me not a single lo one time. No "I'll be with you in a moment" "thank you for waiting" nothing. A line cook came and put my side of orange chicken together for me. You can find them all over the place from shopping centers, malls, amusement parks and even on college campuses making it a convenient go to for fast casual food. You have the choice of choosing food items in the forms of plates, bowls, family meals and a la carte items. Everything is reasonably priced ($8-11+) and pretty fresh as you may have to wait a couple minutes at times for some food items to be replaced. The food options are similar across the chain. Their sides include such items as their chow mein and fried rice and moving on to their various entrees such as their world-famous orange chicken (they sell over 100 million pounds of it a year) to their beef and broccoli, and even including some sea food (i.e honey walnut shrimp) and vegetarian items (ie eggplant tofu); there's a bit of something for everyone. --Location Specific-- This location is in the Encino Town Center and is located near Juice Crafters, SportClips and Yamato. But what I witnessed at Panda Express Encino left me utterly appalled. Let me walk you through the debacle that unfolded during my visit. I ordered a simple 2-item combo, nothing extravagant, just looking forward to a satisfying meal. However, my hopes were quickly dashed when I was informed that one of the items I wanted wasn't available. Fine, I thought, I'll just go with the flow and opt for a third item when I overheard the clerk mentioning that they were about to cook more crispy shrimp since it was running low. Thinking I'd lucked out, I asked if I could get some of the fresh batch that was about to hit the trays. To my dismay, Andrea L., the clerk attending to me, replied with a curt "NO." Shocked, I inquired further, hoping there was some misunderstanding. But no, she bluntly informed me that it was a "first come first serve" situation, and I'd have to make do with what was already there. This was funny to me as I was already in queue for another item I ordered, I have been in this situation before and never seen this type of attitude when Im opting for more food. The restaurant wasnt even busy either. Now, here's where things took a turn for the worse. Instead of simply accepting the situation, I politely requested to cancel my order. And you know what Andrea did? With the kind of attitude that would make a grumpy cat seem pleasant, she opened up the small container of leftover, broken, old, and dried-out shrimp, and unceremoniously dumped it back into the pan at the serving station. I was not just upset; I was livid. How dare she treat a paying customer with such disdain and disrespect? It's basic decency to ensure that customers receive fresh and quality food, especially when they're willing to pay for it. But apparently, at Panda Express Encino, customer satisfaction takes a back seat to convenience. To say that this experience soured my mood would be an understatement. It's disheartening to see such poor service in a place that prides itself on providing quick and tasty meals. I walked out of there feeling not just hungry but deeply disappointed in the lack of professionalism and courtesy displayed by the staff. In conclusion, Panda Express Encino, you've lost a once-loyal customer. And until you address the glaring issues in your customer service, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. This has to be the worst location of this chain, I order lunch weekly and dread when this location is the only showing up on delivery aps. If you order delivery from this location you can count on not receiving utensils you will not receive any sauces, or a fortune cookie and in may cases someone else order. Portion sizes are the smallest I have ever received at any Panda Express. I actually asked the person to confirm that I ordered the bigger plate. My portions were so small the food shifted in the package on my way home and looked even smaller when I got home. The noodles and rice were also bland and did not have the usual taste. I hope Corporate shops them to test their quality. I will never go to this location again. I was completely ripped off too since I ordered all shrim sides and my plate looked half empty. I ordered through Uber Eats, then specifically called the restaurant because there isn't an option to add sauces on on Uber eats which is ridiculous. Robert answered and asked me exactly how many I needed, I said 4. Food came and no sauce. I called him back and his excuse was it was his first day on the job, and he is the store manager mind you. Now my meal is ruined, they can't refund me according to Robert, and Uber Eats won't refund me either. Waisted $20 bucks and also realized how bad the food really is without sauce. In order to ensure I get enough protein, I ordered a large plate with beef with broccoli, stringbean chicken, orange chicken and 1/2 steamed rice and 1/2 chow mein. They loaded up this plate with steamed rice, so much that it filled up the two little areas for the beef and broccoli and orange chicken. because of that, not only did I get less beef and broccoli and orange chicken, but the beef and broccoli had huge pieces of broccoli in it with very litttle meat (5 very small pieces to be exact). Covid times: They have one door where you walk in and place your order then you wait outside and they hand you your order from another door. They are doing online ordering so it's not like before. Before it would be cafeteria style and you would get your food right away but this time there was a bit of a wait. They were all working super fast and everyone was nice. Stay as far away from this Panda Express location as possible. I repeat STAY AWAY. Today I experienced the worst feeling anyone could ever experience. I will never ever go back there again. This was the last time I was going to deal with their terrible customer service. They are rude, and they just don't care about the customers. Everything was at the bottom of the bowls, nothing fresh, and totally out of everything. I asked them for fresh food and they told me it could be up to 10-15 minutes. I was already in a hurry, and couldn't wait. Unfortunately, I took what was available, and I am not very happy at all. Another big family dinner and the grandkids again requested Panda. We ordered on line - about $90 for some of their favorites a la carte. We got an email telling us the order was ready so I went over to pick it up. When I got there maybe 10 minutes after the email, they they told me I had already picked it up. REALLY??? I had to show them the email they sent me to prove that it was my order and that I had not been there earlier. The person in charge told me they would get a new order ready in 5 minutes. About 15 minutes of standing around and they had the order ready for me. It was pretty close to being right (at least one of the items was an unidentifiable dish that we did not order). The grandkids loved the food and didn't mind waiting a bit for the meal, so I guess it was a no harm no foul. But I was less than pleased having to stand indoors for 15 minutes even though everyone was masked. read more
