Five stars because you can get your own hot sauce you don't have to ask for it at the desk. They also have ketchup for the fries. Trying out the new crispy chicken nuggets. My son and I decided to have tacos. He suggested chipotle and I suggested Poquito Mas , we ended up in Taco Bell. We ordered 5 tacos and one burrito. It came up to $24.43 later, we drove home. The tacos are $2.19 each, but if you add anything you get massively charged. We asked sour cream on three tacos and it came to $3.57 more. Needless to say the forgot to put the sour cream on the tacos. I called and they said they will refund me. For the rice added we were charged $1.80. How much sour cream and rice can you fit in those miniature tacos????? Then the burrito. It was embarrassing. It was the size of a small fork. There must have been a reason why I hadn't gone to Taco Bell in 8 years. This was a shocking reminder. The food deserved no more than two stars, but the young man helping us was very courteous and nice, so three stars. He did forget to give me my change of $0.57. Yes, I paid cash, that is the greenish paper that you exchange with what you want to purchase. My next visit won't be in 8 years. Because I have to go back and get my credit for the missing sour cream. The problem is that $4.00 won't even buy me two tiny tacos. I normally dread when my drunk friends ask me to take them to Taco Bell late at night. I was forced to come Friday night around 2:00am. Of course, the line was long and barely moving, which I've come to expect. The service staff aren't usually that friendly, but I gotta give props to Michael working at the drive thru window. Even though customers in line were honking and becoming frustrated with how slow the line was moving, he maintained a good attitude and was extremely nice. I had gone back and Maria not only handled my issue with professionalism and care, she took it upon herself to make my whole order, by herself. She clearly takes pride in her work, and her customers. Fast dinner with the grandkids. they requested Taco Bell because they LOVE the nacho fries. I never had Taco Bell so I am game for anything once. Got there at 4:45 on a weekday night and the restaurant was completely empty ( a few cars at the drive thru but no one eating indoors. The indoor dining at this location is very minimal). I went with the Chicken Power Bowl ($6.50) and had to try the highly recommended fries ($2). To my surprise, both were excellent for fast food. I read on Facebook ads or someplace that the limited time comeback of a few different items like the Double Decker Taco were $1.99 each. I assume this was to gauge the interest of people who used to like those now-discontinued items. Well, this store has them for $3.49 each. They have also jacked up the price on their bean burritos to $2.29. You can find a better bean burrito with cheese, with more filling, for $1.79 at Del Taco. This Taco Bell is the closest Mexican restaurant to where I live so it's kind of convenient but their prices are always inflated. Quite frankly, Taco Bell anymore is for kids whose parents raise them on junk food. They took all the healthy menu items off the menu over the years and now it's down to this Dorito shell tacos crap. I want to preface this by saying if you go to Taco Bell, you know what you're signing up for. I am not a victim and request no sympathy. I am simply describing my experience. I went to this location yesterday. When I first got to the counter with no one in line and one (1) in the drive thru it took two minutes for someone to notice me. But it's fine, I'm in no hurry. Someone finally comes over, says absolutely nothing and gives me that fluoride stare. Now I'm not trying to be a Karen like "I expect a smile and a friendly greeting!!" I don't care that much at all. I simply want to be acknowledged. But again, whatever. I say hi first and place my order. I wait for almost ten minutes and get my food (quesadilla, burrito, chips) and notice there's no chips so I request them, and they give me an order that's very much not full. Like, 60% capacity at best. Whatever, I say. The less of this crap in my body the better. (Clearly I'm excusing a lot at this point) I sit to eat my chicken quesadilla, there is NO chicken in 75% of it. Like, 3 out of 4 slices are FLAT. And it's not like it was all pushed to one side because the one slice that actually had chicken didn't have much in it anyway. The burrito looked like it was rolled by someone who was informed what a burrito was ten seconds before I placed my order, and barely had any meat in it. So 3 out of 3 items were a bust. I had to go up and ask for napkins and sauce. I noticed that every single person in the store during my time there also had to go up and ask for napkins, straws, etc. so they're obviously not giving people any of this stuff nor asking if they want it, which is just common sense. I understand working in customer service sucks, especially nowadays which is why I was so patient. Even if you get bad service they're still human and don't deserve to be abused for easily rectifiable mistakes. That said, I still expect at least a DECENT experience if I'm paying almost $15 for three food items and a drink which again, is on me to some extent. But it boggles my mind how incompetent an entire team can be. I would have to go out of my way to be that bad at my job. This location looks nice on the outside but it's the equivalent of a PS5 box with a turd in it. It was so bad that today I actually went to the Taco Bell on Lankershim just to get what my sick, additive-addicted brain was craving yesterday and as always, they DELIVERED. Full quesadilla, burrito and chips order. THAT is a good Taco Bell and I'm going to write a five star review for them just to cancel out the negativity I'm putting out into the world with this one. I honestly don't eat taco bell anymore, but I was in a rush the other day and didn't have lunch so I decided to stop by this taco bell to order some cool ranch doritos locos tacos (pretty much the only thing I order from TB). This Taco Bell is pretty much my childhood, I would walk her after school or when I visited my mom's shop as a kid. I definitely remember it being better back then, but what did I know about food as a 7 year old. Anyways, drive thru was quick and easy, I spent about a total of 3 minutes there. I asked the guy at the window for one of each sauce, he delivered. It was a decent experience, nothing bad about it.
