I asked for chips and salsa. They come in a bag with maybe 10 to 15 near burnt chips who knows when they were made, and the salsa was laughable about a quarter inch of the cup filled. * the salsas are hidden behind the ordering desk with sauces that must have three squirts in each container, never seen that again at a Mexican place. * the condiment station has no cups, you have to put it in a plastic bag even when eating in. * I had a burrito and it was mostly rice, unevenly proportioned and no flavor. * overall I was unimpressed with the cheap out on certain things with the prices they charge. I personally would never go back again, but the soup looked good at another table,perhaps it's worth a try.

Birria Tacos (5/5) Corn tortilla lightly fried in birria broth; this version is between the regular taco and the dorados. It not only looked good, it tasted great! 3. Dorados (5/5) This is their "crunchy" taco, which I got with shredded beef (default, but can change to other protein options). That crunchy shell was just sooo satisfying with each bite. Flavor wise, it's pretty similar to the Birria taco described above. I love the fresh radish slices they offer on the side. Three tacos (two carne asada, one lengua) came out to $5.30, which is standard pricing in L.A. The food was out within five minutes. Their to-go orders come wrapped up in foil and a plastic bag. The meat left a little something to be desired. The asada wasn't as plentiful as the lengua, and it tasted salty more than anything. The limes and medium salsa could not help with that. On the other hand, the lengua was soft, cooked well, and complemented by the grilled onions and lime. I was also impressed by their inclusion of limes, radish, grilled onions, and grilled serrano peppers in separate packages, all for no extra cost. Their lime supplier, whoever they are, is amazing -- the ones I had were very fresh and plump. Convenience wins out over quality in this case, and it's a fine choice for anyone looking for a roadside Mexican food fix. Parking by the park and abundant housing is a well-played call.
