I have to say, Marco truly goes above and beyond. I hadn't been here in a few weeks, and we happened to visit on my birthday. He had no idea it was my special day, but he surprised us with dessert. When he found out it was my birthday, he came out singing and really made it a memorable occasion.

    Breakfast burrito and beef empanada

Food was excellent and a fair price. The bacon burrito was slightly under $10. I will definitely go back.

My fiancé and I went here today because we were hungry for burritos. It's very hard sometimes to find a good Mexican restaurant around here and this was such a surprise interior is small but it's done so nicely and it's so cute. The staff is incredibly friendly the menu pretty good size and let me tell you what we had. I had a I had a carnea asada burrito which was so delicious, my fiancé had the California burrito and let me tell you there's something that they do with the meat They just made it so unbelievably juicy and delicious. And while we were waiting, we had chips with this unbelievable sauce. I mean it wasn't spicy, but it was so delicious and it had such a rich taste. Our totals weren't really ridiculous for really amazing burritos you know so if you're looking for really good food go they do breakfast they do lunch. They do dinner go you won't be sorry.

Marco goes above and beyond ! We literally drive from Arizona to have this delicious food made with love .. been coming here for years and when we lived down the street they catered our special events and made everything perfect . This place is a gem and will always hold a special place in my families heart . Thank you Marco and team !

Mexican to avoid. Atmosphere: Small shop menu is clear about 4 or 5 tables, nothing good or bad here. Staff: friendly & helpful everyone was very nice Price: prices are good $2.50 a taco probably one of the cheaper tacos in the area. Food we ordered: Chips: a smaller batch of chips covered in what i expect is a mole possibly and some cheese. This was pretty good nice crunch on the chips. came with two salsas a green and red both had a nice strong flavor and a bit of a kick. 3 Tacos Combo - Carnitas Taco - The best of the 3 tacos we got, strong lime flavor which i liked add some of both salsas and this is the thing to get. However my one pet-peeve with carnitas... If while you are adding carnitas to the taco and you see a LARGE piece of inedible fat DON'T PUT IT IN the taco... El Pastor Taco - The one recommended by the staff, strong flavor decent taste not my thing but also not bad. Chicken taco - this might possibly be one of the worst chicken tacos I have ever had.. No seasoning whatsoever the color was off i'm not sure they even put this on the grill.. absolutely avoid this at all costs. I wish I had photographed this one, it was that bad.. Rice & Beans - overall soggy and not very good, flavorless. Overall the food was not great. We went on a Friday after lunch so it wasn't busy. Im unsure if the food is just pre-made but nothing was really hot.. The food and the reviews on this place just dont match up... Not sure what people are eating but it isn't the food here.. Tips: Plenty of parking in the lot, the candys next to the soda machines are a nice touch.

Look at that meat quality!!!! Boom! Yes!

Decent burritos, but the empanadas are the highlight of the menu. Both chicken and beef are great. The red salsa is also pretty good.

Let's start off with location wise it's very centrally located in the valley so you can get to it fairly quick. Parking was not it's best. It is on Ventura Blvd so street parking is very difficult. They do have onsite parking in the back but there's only about 5 spots only and it seems like most of them are take either by staff or delivery vehicles. Now walking into this place you are def transported into a very lively Mexican culture that is undeniably amazing. I loved the decor and how you just feel at home. They are playing music the whole time loud enough for you to feel the vibes but still be able to have conversations. Now the food let me just say 10/10. I had the mole the presentation is amazing and the taste of it is even better. My fiancé had the aguachiles con mango which he says are also a 10/10. Finally my mother ordered the queso birria tacos which were pretty good as well. The margarita flight was def my favorite, I am not a big margarita fan as they tend to be a bit sweet for my liking but these were actually pretty well balanced and delicious. Overall I had a great experience the service was good. Will def be coming back and will recommend.

Came in last night to celebrate a friend's birthday (they have happy hour all day Mon-Wed) and was pleasantly surprised. My friends started off ordering the HH guava margaritas, which they enjoyed. I ordered the coconut margarita (not on HH) a must !!!! Not overwhelmingly sweet and tasty! We ordered and rated the following dishes: Guacamole: 9/10 HH tinga Nachos: 7.5/10 (flavor was there but most chips were burnt) HH Taquitos papas: 9/10 great flavor and sauce HH steak tacos: 7.5/10 the corn and portion of meat to the taco was very good. The steak a little well done for my liking. Enchiladas verde: 9/10 great portion honestly enough for two to share. Rice and beans were okay. Beans a bit salty and rice was a bit bland. Would definitely come back for the apps and drinks! They also have brunch which looks like fun.

I use the El Torito app, which gives the users many promotional offers, and one is a free birthday entrée each year. The night we most recently stopped by, my significant other and I decided at the last minute to take advantage of the offer before it expired. For the first time in a long time, we dined in the regular dining area rather than the cantina. Our server was Victor, and I noticed another person with him. I asked her if she was training and she said she was. As it turned out, it was first day working at El Torito. Although it was Reina's first day at the restaurant, it was not her first day working in a restaurant! She was a true pro!! Between the two of them, we were taken care of throughout the night. We even had a visit from Sam after I mentioned his name to Victor, and it was so nice to say hi since he was not working the last couple of times I was there. He even made sure to ensure that I had a birthday dessert. The food was prepared well and was delicious. I tried the seafood taco trio and was happy to be able to get a combination of shrimp and mahi mahi tacos. My significant other got the sizzling enchiladas. We also had salads, and overall, it was a lot of food. The manager, Matthew, also stopped by to check on us throughout the evening. Everyone really made an effort to make the birthday dinner special. They immediately rebuilt in the same location, but it was only now that we were able to return. I see many differing reviews, mostly 3-4 stars, but I have to say, we LOVE this place. I don't know if their having to rebuild had anything to do with improving what was already great food, but this visit, the food was better than ever. We usually find their rice and beans to be a bit bland, but we never cared because we were too busy filling up on the tacos, chips, salsa and guac... but THIS time... I completely polished off the rice and beans. They really added a lot of flavor to both items. The rice was really flavorful, and the beans really had a nice punch of flavor, too... more than in the past. As for the shrimp tacos, I always get the same delicious, stuffed with loads of shrimp tacos served on freshly made corn tortillas. I avoid their hot sauce cuz it's way too hot, and I nix the cilantro cuz I just don't like it. I still get the chopped onions but ask that they only give me a small amount (they usually put on as much onion as there is shrimp, and that's just too much for me. I do, however, add lots of guac and the milder salsa (the chips salsa), and my tacos are then perfection. The 3 tacos, coupled with the rice and beans, we loved every bite of food we had. I'm so glad that freak accident of someone crashing through their window didn't ruin their business forever. It was a pleasure finding them back in business, better than ever. Now if we could just find our way to getting here more frequently, that'd be ideal !!
