Carne asada tacos
Tara J.

I've driven by this truck numerous times and finally stopped by. I just wanted some basic carne asada tacos and they hooked it up. A big pet peeve of mine is over cooked meat and thankfully the meat inside the tacos was tender and well seasoned. Perfect truck to hit up whenever I have my taco cravings.

Very Tasty! Very Consistent! If you love a great burrito then give them a try! Always hot, fresh and good...

How the truck looks like. Exterior

Soooo good. All meat has such a flavors. So much meat on each that will fill stomach up! Red sauce is also flavorful. So all combine.. flavor of flav3 Heaven! Green sauce has super kick. Personally I go red sauce and have little drip of green sauce, was so perfect. I could actually go without any sauce too bc the meat has so much flavor. I do strongly recommend! Thank You Santos and his crew!! I ordered Carne Asada TacosPastor, carnitas & pollo

Mulita "Peter style" off menu. Steak mulita with nacho cheese in it. Add the habanero and green sauce on top and it is perfection.

Overall: The best Mulitas in the Valley, hands down. Location: The truck is parked on Winnetka next to the Winnetka Bowl. They have several seats outside along the fence. Food: They server everything from tacos, burritos, to nachos. But the star at this spot is def the Mulitas. Which are in essence mini quesadillas with your choice of meat. I order mine with the addition of nacho cheese and since I was told I was the first to order so I have named it Peter style. Service: the husband-wife duo is super nice. They are always pleasant and joking with the customers. I would def recommend you dropping in and asking for a mulita with chorizo and steak peter style.

Since my last review, Taco Reyes had to shut down because someone had crashed into their front…read morewindow and rendered the place temporarily destroyed. They immediately rebuilt in the same location, but it was only now that we were able to return. I see many differing reviews, mostly 3-4 stars, but I have to say, we LOVE this place. I don't know if their having to rebuild had anything to do with improving what was already great food, but this visit, the food was better than ever. We usually find their rice and beans to be a bit bland, but we never cared because we were too busy filling up on the tacos, chips, salsa and guac... but THIS time... I completely polished off the rice and beans. They really added a lot of flavor to both items. The rice was really flavorful, and the beans really had a nice punch of flavor, too... more than in the past. As for the shrimp tacos, I always get the same delicious, stuffed with loads of shrimp tacos served on freshly made corn tortillas. I avoid their hot sauce cuz it's way too hot, and I nix the cilantro cuz I just don't like it. I still get the chopped onions but ask that they only give me a small amount (they usually put on as much onion as there is shrimp, and that's just too much for me. I do, however, add lots of guac and the milder salsa (the chips salsa), and my tacos are then perfection. The 3 tacos, coupled with the rice and beans, we loved every bite of food we had. I'm so glad that freak accident of someone crashing through their window didn't ruin their business forever. It was a pleasure finding them back in business, better than ever. Now if we could just find our way to getting here more frequently, that'd be ideal !!

As much as I love Taco Reyes, I can't love them anymore. Before their "remodeling". Their carne…read moreasada nachos was $13. Went the other day, the nachos are now $20. They are still very tasty, but it's taking a big bite out of my pocketbook. I know everything is expensive now and I am taking it into consideration. I'll move Taco Reyes to the bottom of my list and maybe in a couple months I'll go back and Hopefully the price will be better.

Parking is tight. Hit and miss to find a spot…read more The place was packed when I arrived , around 12:30 on Sunday. The line moved quickly. Food is pretty solid. 3 taco, rice and beans. I think just under 13. Horchata is good , but not great. Can buy refills at about 50% discount. Free chips available outside. Salsa bar available as well. A lot more of chairs and tables than I thought, it's bigger than it looks from outside.

She wasn't only rude and condescending- she lacked the most basic customer service skills. Expecting the customer to know what comes in their dishes?. Not only was her attitude a problem but what's up with the gum chewing while providing customer service. Like bro I literally see you chewing gum with your mouth wide open while being rude and providing zero customer service. Keep in mind, that I only came here because the taco stand down the street is closed. Sometimes business wonder why we support tacos stands or small businesses is because of places like this that lose their essential care. No customer service, mediocre food, and employees that are unsatisfied with their jobs. I would have 1 million times preferred to support any taco stand in the corner than come here and feel mistreated and get 0 taste for my money. They need to learn the word thank you, and you're welcome because in the whole time I been here I didn't hear it once while I said it multiple times.
