McDonald's? A five-star review?! At this location, yes! My review is for the dine-in experience my family had. We ordered using the kiosk and within minutes we had the friendly staff drop our food to us. There was an employee by the name of Candy that brought our food and kept checking on us. She is amazing! The team all said hi and the food was served hot and fresh. Even though there were moments where they were busy, they always checked up on us and smiled. This is hands down the worst McDonald's location in the state. The customer service, food quality, and efficiency are consistently terrible. I have no idea how this place is still in business--probably only because it's located in an affluent area. Do yourself a favor and don't customize your order here, whether through the app or drive-thru. They either ignore your requests entirely or butcher them beyond recognition. About 98% of my customized orders are wrong, forcing me to park, go inside, and have the order remade. My usual order is simple: Double cheeseburger no pickles, extra onions. Yet almost every time, I get extra pickles and no onions--or worse. On my last visit, I ordered two McDoubles (no pickles, extra onions) and received burgers with pickles, no onions, and unbelievably, no cheese. Who forgets the cheese on a McDouble? Comparing this to other McDonald's there are two things (one major, one to be expected) that bring this location down. First, the food is exactly what you would expect from McDonald's. No issue there. Now, for the things that bring this location "down". First (the major one) the parking lot and drive-thru are HORRENDOUS. Both are difficult to get in and out of from/to Ventura. If you're trying to turn left and there's any traffic, good luck. The drive-thru also has a really bad layout. It snakes through the parking lot in a strange way and can be difficult to make it through depending on other people parking. The drive-thru can also BLOCK parking spaces, so if you do park, you may not be able to get out. The second issue (the minor one). The ice cream machine is always broken. I know. What a shock. So, this McDonald's location is fine in terms of the quality. In terms of the practicality, there are some issues. read more

Not really sure why a large frozen coke costs $4.59 but down the street it costs $2.19-$3.29 max... It may be frozen but it's still just coke. $4.59 for a soft drink is ridiculous, frozen or not. Will not come back to this location. My friend son wanted to go to McDonald's and why not? I didn't order anything but I do frequent this McDonald's enough that they serve fresh delicious food. This was my first time inside of the McDonald's and wow. It is sooooo up to date. There's a cashier who was really kind and they even have a self cashier. Got my order wrong 4 times, employees gave attitude, one of the managers were very passive aggressive for no reason. When I finally received my order the food basically fell apart once opened, and the McDonalds was messy I ended up having a sticky shoe walking out like the heck. I'm not sure if another customer pissed her off but by the time she got to me at the last window at 1:40pm, she acted as if a cup of water was an asshole request. So she rolled her eyes And then gave me an already made cup of water with spilled coke on it. When I ask her "what's this stuff" she then took a napkin and wiped the cup as if I wasn't going to drink from it and exclaimed with even more attitude "it's a cup of water". I left the cup there and left as I could see she was trying to escalate her anger into something she couldn't manifest against previous customer. Really hate to give 1 star reviews but hit my tipping point today at this location. We are frequenters of their drive -thru for cold drinks; specifically iced tea, cut, extra ice. They get this about 50% of the time right. Today, I skipped the drive-thru and actually went in. The space is depressing; not very clean; even after a recent remodel. Also, they tout they they are "locally owned" but there doesn't seem to be much pride in their business. The "manager"-like person today couldn't clearly explain to me why I couldn't get free fries on National Fryday, even though the brand has been advertising it all day. The best McDonald's. The food is always fresh and hot. There's plenty of parking in the parking lot. There are two drive-through's that never seem to have a line. The french fries are the bomb. Also if you get the app you can order and just park at the curb and they will bring you your food or you can drive through and pick up your food. read more

I stopped by this McDonald's after I got my covid booster shot nearby. I just went through the drive through to get my food. When I got to the ordering station, there was no cars there so I was able to put in my order right away. I got the 10pc chicken nuggets, a large coke and used my mobile code for the free medium French fries. They don't display your order on the screen here so don't expect that like other McDonald's. You pay at the first window and then pick up your order at the next window. They forgot to give me ketchup so I had to ask for some. Rude employee and always missing items from mobile order. Order number 1642 missing small fries, it cost me $3.69 for a SMALL fries and the bag did not have one. If you take a coupon there to order the quantity of the item is smaller...like a ice cream cine has less ice cream or the small fries are very small. I don't know if this establishment (if you could even call it that) has an ice shortage constantly or if asking for ice is taken as a personal insult, but i do know its a problem. This location is a monument to incompetence and disregard for customer service. I'm starting to wonder if they get payed more for playing in customers faces. Maybe they're hoarding the ice for themselves? You would think everyone in there has iron deficiency anemia the way they refuse to give that ice away. I stopped in on Christmas evening everything else was closed, in the dining area, was all homeless transients, in and out of the the restrooms, with baskets of blankets, sitting in the dining area, filling up large cups they brought in at the soda machines. Employees, and the manager, said and did nothing!! I went today to Raising Canes just down the street, packed with customers and no transients in and out of their restrooms, and at the soda machines in fact none!! They are located just down the street west in Encino. This has been a constant problem at this McDonalds, with sales way down, because the franchise owner does nothing to stop it!!! This franchise should be taken away from him, and he should not be allowed to operate a franchise!!! Does this go on in China or Korea? I don't think so!! I was just back from Mexico, I was in a McDonalds, and didn't see what I see in Encino!! From dining there 6 days a week, now I don't go at all! I do know of one McDonalds in Sherman Oaks, when there is a problem, they call an armed guard services, the mans arrives in a car instantly, and removes the person! At the Encino location they are allowed to sit there, use the soda machines, use the bathrooms, and purchase nothing!! What restaurant fast food, or any other would allow this?? Again the owner is ignorant, and should sell this location, who will bring in the right management. Look at the way Raising Caines is run, they get it right, look at the difference, even there energy level is off the charts, McDonalds Encino its like being in a mortuary, no energy, no personality, poor customer service, poor hires at the counter, and upper management!!! I have pretty basic expectations for fast food as no one expects it to be fine dining or even on par with a proper sit down restaurant. Somehow this location managed to drastically fail at basic. First off, after having to wait about 5 min. for my food at the drive through window, I figured it was because they were making it fresh and it would be great. Sadly, I was completely wrong. After driving away I reached in the bag to some very hot, yet barely cooked fries. They were literally stuck together and almost raw, as if they were pulled from the fryer half done in a rush. Yet somehow, the chicken nuggets were the exact opposite. They were barely warm and tasted stale and as if they had been re-fried and sitting around for hours. While I don't expect great, serving any customer this food is unacceptable. Stay far away from this location as they obviously pay zero attention to their food quality and just serve you whatever is laying around, even if it's food that should not have been served based on their restaurant standards. This is probably the worst McDonald's food I've ever had and was tempted to just throw it out, though I don't believe in wasting food. This is the closest McDonald's to us. We went today and ordered 40 nuggets and 2 large fries. The total was 25 when we clearly could see that on the bord and online it says 16.00 for all four. When we approached the window the guys said oh it's because we do not have a meal i said i know i didnt ask for drinks.
