The atmosphere had that nostalgic charm that's hard to fake -- soft warm lighting, classic comfort-food smells drifting through the air, and the kind of relaxed, familiar vibe where you instantly feel at home. The fried chicken was phenomenal -- perfectly golden and crispy on the outside with juicy, flavorful meat underneath. That crunchy seasoned coating had the kind of homemade taste that instantly reminds you why classic Southern comfort food never goes out of style. The mashed potatoes were creamy and rich with smooth gravy poured generously over top, and the coleslaw added the perfect cool, tangy balance to the plate. Even the biscuit tasted fresh from the oven -- buttery, fluffy and impossible not to finish. This wasn't trendy food trying too hard. It was authentic, comforting, soul-satisfying cooking served in a place that feels frozen in time in all the right ways. Like an old-school Friday night dinner spot where the recipes haven't changed in decades because they never needed to.

My family and I decided to give them another try. Pros: The service, the burgers, and the tea! The people were incredibly friendly, the tea was delicious with the perfect balance of sweet, and the burger was oozing out delicious melted cheese. Cons: Hush puppies were meh, the fries were floppy and not that great, and they no longer play Christian radio Overall, will do in a pinch for the burger and tea, but the rest I suppose depends on the day. I'm giving a 4 star just because of the service alone.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience was terrible from start to finish…read more First off, the food was cold and tasted old, like it had been sitting in a window for ages. The chicken was dry and overcooked instead of hot and juicy, and the fries were limp, greasy, and barely warm. What really pushed me over the edge was the portion size of the fries. I ordered large fries for my two girls, who absolutely LOVE Zaxby's fries and chicken, and what we got was a sad little handful of fries in each box. You can literally count them in the pictures. Calling that a "large" is honestly borderline robbery for the price you're charging. My kids were excited for their favorite meal and ended up disappointed, staring at a few cold fries and dried-out chicken strips. For what we paid, this is completely unacceptable. I've attached photos so management can see exactly what was served. This meal felt careless, lazy, and like no one bothered to check quality or portions before it went out. If this is the new standard, you're going to lose a lot of loyal customers. Sad and pathetic.

We really want to give a shout out to the young lady who took our order in the drive thru...Chloe. She was the most efficient employee we have encountered at this location. She was paying attention, not talking. To co workers while taking our order. She took the order quickly, read it back quickly ( and it was correct), gave us the total and finished the interaction and thanked us and told us to have a good evening. We complimented her, but wanted to leave this review as well. Great job Chloe and Chick fil A!!!

There was no ranch on it- I couldn't even taste a hint of ranch. I later asked an employee about it. She stated that she thought that it was supposed to have come with a ranch packet to add to it and asked of it did. Neither sandwich came with one. She then asked if it was good anyway, to which I replied yes, I was just confused on the taste without ranch since it was called a ranch club. She started that thought the bread was made of buttermilk ranch type but said that she had never tried the sandwich. I also got the Sprite Hibiscus Strawberry drink. No flavored refills available if you ordered that (which I think is the norm for most places) but I could come back and get a drink refill. Not a bad experience, but chick-fil-a is fairly expensive in my opinion and almost always regarded as a treat.

We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery. It is a beautiful location right next to the River District. There's a lovely park, splash pad, and playground right along the Dan River. We were so stoked to eat right there. The interior of the restaurant was so fun. We loved the decorations. Books everywhere! The server was ok at first. But when we were done, I did not like how she presented me the check. She just quickly flashed me an amount on a screen, and then hid the screen. I asked if I could pay cash and she accepted it but did not bring me a check even then. We ordered 3 burgers that sounded really good. Such a disappointment. The burger meat in each was shaped perfectly and was as hard as a hockey puck. They appeared to be cooked medium but the meat was tough and gristly. I have no idea how they got all the burgers the exact, uniform hockey puck shape. They must be like those frozen ones you can get at Costco. But $17.95 for a frozen hockey puck? At one point, while my kids were telling me how gross the patties were, while my husband and I told them they had to eat them to go play on the playground, I flagged the server down and asked what type of meat it was. She said beef. However, it did not taste like beef. Thank goodness for all the toppings because if they were plain burgers, they would have been inedible. We were so hungry though so we ate what we could. Notably, the buns also tasted cheap like they had just come out of a stale grocery store deli bag. The seasoned fries, sweet potato fries, the homemade ranch and ketchup, and salad with homemade vinaigrette were ok. After we left, I added up what we ordered again and realized she must have charged me an extra $12 to swap out a veggie patty for a beef patty. I was not told there would be an upcharge so felt a little swindled, especially with how she presented the check. I wish I had kept the veggie patty though, because it probably would have been better. Also my kid who had said the burgers were so gross puked right after we left and immediately felt much better and enjoyed 2 hours on the playground. My other kid was jealous of the other one puking. Like you can't make this kind of stuff up. This spot has so much potential. I would honestly hope to visit again just to chill outside but would not ever eat the burgers.

Wow. I cannot say anything but "disappointing."…read more I've been to the drive thru plenty if times and it's been great. Unfortunately this time we went inside. Big mistake. We came here at 7:45 on Thursday with our 2 year old granddaughter to get ice cream. The inside was empty except for I think one customer. There may have been another person with them. They were sitting at a table. We went in and stood at the counter. There was a lady with a very long platinum blonde wig at the drive-thru window about 7 feet away from us. It would take her 3 steps to go from working the drive thru to the register in front of us. She looked at us several times as she stood at the window. Where there were no customers. None. Zip. After standing there a bit without so much as being acknowledged, we left, annoyed and a bit angry that we couldn't even get an ice cream for our granddaughter.
