Build Your Own Plate - 2 Half Sides
Anne M.

I've mostly gotten takeout from this location, and every time has been a consistent experience. I usually get 2 entrees, and I love they give the option for half and half sides. The orange chicken and beef broccoli are my faves. The vegetable sides and fried rice are always super fresh and tasty. Portion sizes are great as well, especially for the prices and it being mostly a takeout option. Staff are friendly, very quick and responsive. Clean interior, with parking available, as well as a drive thru option. Will continue to go here when craving Chinese cuisine.

When I order chow mein I expect to get noodles. They should tell me they do not have any noodles left. This is un acceptable.

Golden Phoenix Chinese Restaurant - #15 Mongolian Beef

Food was fantastic. Had it first through DoorDash delivery and then went to the restaurant the…read moresecond time to have lunch. The place was empty and the waitress was not very attentive. We decided we liked the food, the prices and the amount given on each plate, but we would just do delivery from now on. Please make the place warmer and kinder, it looks barren and cold.

Meh.... Ordered:…read moreLarge Hot & Sour Soup Never seen such sparse or thin Hot & Sour Soup. Like it was a new batch and they didn't stir before portioning??? I put my side of rice and some cut up pieces of my entree in it to try to rescue it. Flavor wasn't awful but not the best I've had. Needed more than just broth. 6.5/10 Crispy Sesame Chicken Ummm, no. It was heavily doused with soy sauce; so much that you would have thought it was Soy Sauce Chicken. Way too salty. Sesame chicken isn't IMO supposed to taste like soy sauce. Some pieces were so over cooked that I couldn't cut them with a real stainless knife. Best compliment? It was a good size portion . 3/10 Side of white rice A little dry but not bad. 7/10 When I ordered, it was around 6:10 pm on a Saturday night and only 1 table there who was cashing out as I was ordering. The cashier was "distracted"?? Cause he tried to short change me. Bill was $34.55 and I gave him $40.55 He tried to give me $5.45 in change. I corrected him that the change should be $6 since I gave home the exact change and $40. He had to re-ring the order then said "oh, your right" and gave me my $6 in change. Funny that they ask customers to please pay in cash to avoid credit card fees then can't correctly count change back. The guy had to be in his late 30's so not a new kid. Seemed clean enough, no tables piled up with crap . Good lighting and beautiful pictures. Overall, if you've not had amazing Chinese food before, you'll be happy. I doubt I'll be back. Too many other places within a 5 mile radius to spend $35 on 1 entree, soup (although large) and a side of rice then to settle for this.

San Wok Express - Singapore Noodles. Used to be better but I think they've cut down on the curry.

If you are a local to the area then you know San Wok Express really was the best chinese in town…read more With friendly owners, the happy and giddy welcome and goodbyes as you come and go. That is no more. Sadly after going back recently I realized these are new owners and no longer the San Wok we are used to. Food was decent, but I could tell the difference especially with the orange chicken which was always a hit. Food overall is good for chinese, but doesn't wow me like before. New improvements inside, the restaurant now has dine in, and new decor, but prices have an increased, and ultimately just feels like another chinese restaurant in the area.

I started coming here about 15 years ago. At the time it was called Rice Garden, if I recall. The…read morefood was tasty and the guy that ran the place, we knew from the Golden Phoenix restaurants. I think he was either a nephew or son in law. He sold the place to the previous owner who rebranded as Sans Wok Express. When the place opened the flavor, price and portion were all unbelievable and unbeatable. For years this was the case, then the price would go up about 10% at least twice a year, then the portions got smaller and post covid, the flavor also suffered like they were cutting corners. They would skimp on sauces and dishes that were generous with protein because heavy with vegetables, so instead of Mongolian Beef, it was Mongolian Onion. Really nice people, but after my last visit, I said I most likely wouldn't be back because it just wasn't worth the money. Ironically, I gave them another chance today and was surprised. When I pulled into the lot I knew something was different as I saw someone sitting inside and the place had been takeout only since Covid. The décor was also modern and warm and when I didn't see the original chef or server, I assumed there was a new owner. The menu was exactly the same, but it was a new owner and she told me she had owned the place since New Years Day. So, it's obviously been more than a year since I decided not to come back. I had the Mongolian Beef and it was pretty good. I'm sure you would love it, but I actually like mine sugar free. That said, it wasn't as sweet as most places, so respect to the chef. The lunch combo was entree, rice and soup. No more spring roll. The hot and sour was ok, but it wasn't thickened and lacked chicken stock. The new owner is really nice and I'm hoping the business comes back. This place used to always be nearly full. I think after 4-5 years of take out only, people stopped coming here. Take out is great, but I prefer dine in. It hotter, fresher and I don't have any trash. Again, when you keep the same name as the previous business, there is no flag to the community that you changed the recipes and possibly have a better menu. Either way, come back, I think you'll be pleased.
