Not sure why there are so many bad reviews, for an easy quick meal, the Covington McDonalds has been a great place for us, everything is fresh, tasty and don't remember us ever having a bad experience. It can get busy in the drive thru, but all is required is patience! I am usually making edits to my burger and they have made those edits every time. I handed my credit card to the drive‑thru employee, who then closed the window with my card in his possession. The following morning, around 10:30 am, I discovered approximately $2,000 in unauthorized charges on my card, related to a Turo transaction. I immediately contacted my bank, reported the charges as fraud, and the card was blocked and replaced. I returned to the restaurant and spoke with the manager on duty, Kentrell. I mentioned the timeline and that the only unusual handling of my card had occurred at this location. While she expressed some sympathy, she was primarily defensive of her staff and stated that her employees would not do such a thing. I do not recall the employee's name or appearance, so I could not identify a specific person. I understand I cannot prove which individual made the fraudulent charges. I ordered a fish sandwich with fries. When I got the fries, they were cold. I went straight to the counter, where I was ignored by everybody that walked by. I finally asked somebody who looked like they might be in charge if I could get some hot fries. He said, "in a minute", then then he continued chatting with to an off duty employee. Not only did he never get my fries, but he never looked at me again. I asked another employee if I could have hot fries, and I gave him the box of cold fries. He also ignored me. He kept filling bags for the drive-through orders. Then, I asked a woman who I think was in charge if I could have hot fries. She nodded and then continued to go about doing what she was doing. I asked her again if she could give me the hot fries because if she didn't give them to me soon, she would also be giving me a hot sandwich because the sandwich was sitting on the table getting cold. She looked at one of her employees and said, "can you give her some hot fries and get her out of here. "" I've never seen such rudeness in any restaurant anywhere. I will not be back. 1st time walking in to this particular McDonald's location. Used the electronic kiosk machine to place my food and drink orders. It also allowed you to enter in the 4-digit code to redeem your reward points or earn new points. Selected a few Spicy McChicken Sandwiches, an order of a 10-piece McNuggets, a Large Fries and a drink to go. Asked for some Tartar sauce and Ketchup as well. Received my order after about 5-10 minutes of waiting, which seemed reasonable and in a timely manner. The employees were polite and helpful. Ever since covid the service here turned horrible if you're planning on dining in be prepared to be ignored if at any given moment you need service at the register. This is the closest Mcdonalds to me, i like it because they have a playground for my kids but the service is horrible. I hate that anytime i need something the employees just watch you standing at the register and they don't say a word not a "i'll be right with you" or anything just straight up ignore you. You will literally have to try hard and get their attention which i think is so rude and ridiculous being that WE are the paying customers keeping the place going. Could not understand the person taking our order in the Drive thru. I had to repeat my self at least 5 times. She still took the order wrong. Pulled forward after paying and picked up our order and it was wrong. I asked for them to had a another Chicken McCrispy and they told us that we had to drive around and go through the drive thru again. I said WHAT? And he repeated what he said. The woman I was speaking said nothing, just waved the manager over. I told the manager I did not receive my order. Her response was that it was placed on the counter but I did not pick it up. I went to the Covington McDonald's around 10 or 11 at night and ordered a strawberry banana smoothie. Right away, I could tell something was off the machine wasn't working, and the employee started slamming it with his hands. It honestly looked really unsanitary. I even turned to my friend and said it didn't feel right, but decided to trust that they knew what they were doing. It took about 10 minutes to get the smoothie, and the car behind me was honking because of the delay. I finally got the drink, went home, and went to bed. The next morning, I woke up with severe pain near my ribs, and not long after, I threw up three times. I felt super sick and had awful stomach pain that lasted the entire day. That smoothie was the only thing I had that night, so I truly believe it was the cause. This was a really upsetting experience. I will absolutely not be going back to that location. To stop by McDonald's today to grab something quick for the family and myself. I live approximately 15 miles from this location. I called and talked to a manager. About missing a whole meal. I ordered 4 of them, so only got 3 she said. I could come back and either get the meal or get a refund. I tried explaining to her that I lived so far away. That I would like a refund and the the meal to cover my time app and gas money. She told me no either one or the other and she said, she saw my order sitting in the warmer i will never be back to this location. Terrible customer service. Drove through to get a hot drink on a cold rainy night. The rain gutters over the drive through were overflowing. Unfortunately in order to get my drink I had to open my window and had a waterfall soak me and the inside of my car. i came in with my two brothers and let them play in the play place while i placed my order.. like only two kiosks worked and the rest were out of order, and it was PACKED in there. lunch rush.. i get it. i placed my order and went to go pay at the counter with cash, i was behind some other lady and we waited for about 15-20 mins before the lady finally flagged down a worker and then i finally paid and got my receipt. it was about 1:30, and then around 2pm rolls by and everyone else got my food and they're already calling out orders with numbers further from mine. i saw shakes and a happy meal so i ASSUMED it was part of my order and they were gonna call it soon, but nothing happens, so i go up and flagged down a worker and asked them about my order, and turns out it was never in the system.. how does that happen, genuinely? the worker took my receipt and quickly made my order and handed it to me and walked away before i could say thank you. even just a "sorry about that" could've been nice.. i was on the verge of tears because i felt so bad about my brothers who really wanted to eat, but glad they ended up eating anyways.. but im definitely not coming back after that.. read more

Trenton the manager was amazing!!! He put together our order after having trouble getting in. The doors were locked but mcdondals was open. As we came in a blonde young girl was absolutely awful. She freaked out about us coming in when the doors were locked and she mentioned the doors were locked because they were understaffed. She yelled "you guys should not be in here!" This was very very uncomfortable and hostile. I went ahead and asked Trenton if they were closed and he kindly said they were not and that we were fine. I've waited for 3 mins on several occasions for someone to take my order in the drive through, I've ordered a Meal by saying "I'd like a # with this drink", received only a sandwich, and been met with a "sorry that's not what you were rung up for". One time I went for breakfast placed my order, after being asked for it, which was followed by silence on their end for an uncomfortable period, before the same person says can I take your order? For the second time. I let them know I just had and they said 'when?' I cannot with this location. I came into this Covington McDonald's lobby to pick up some dessert for my children and I with the hopes to play in the kids play area to burn off some energy before bed. This McDonald's always has a line around the corner and is in a very congested and busy area. The inside of this McDonald's is redone and very beautiful. It wasn't busy at all and we were served very quickly. I used the self-service option to minimize contact. Sadly the kids area was closed so I hope to get to come back when it's open. The shakes we got were perfect. Hopefully they will announce or advertise when the kids play area is open so I can come back and try this place again. read more
