I eat here often. Its a brand spankin' new Panda with Chinese employees. Its clean, delicious, cheap, convenient and never disappointing. I always get a 2 item combo, typically one fried chicken (i.e. orange or now Sichuan) & one chicken teriyaki. You are usually seated with your food in 5 minutes and you'll get more delicious food for your $8 than you will anywhere else! Went to panda tonight with my wife and went thru the drive thru and it took forever to get thru to the line and then once we ordered, I told them I wanted the chicken by itself, but apparently that's not the case and then the food wasn't all that great and I definitely am not coming back any time soon! read more

Could definitely improve some customer service aspects, normally everytime I come to panda in the drive through they are polite but I came in today and requested for him to do a scoop with light veggies and he looked at me and said it's half and half. I was clearly upset because I know I will be wasting the veggies and not getting my moneys worth and he didn't offer any way to make it better, and then continued the rest of the order with a passive aggressive tone. I try this place weekly and unfortunately, every single time there's an issue. The last three times I have went; I have called to make sure that they have the food that I'm going to order. Even with me calling in advance I have still had to wait 15 to 30 minutes on my food to be ready. Today I waited 34 minutes for teriyaki chicken, but was also served my food with an attitude. I love the food at Panda Express - as someone born and raised in Beijing, I don't say this lightly. However I am once in a while disappointed by the operations of the restaurants. Yesterday I drove for three quarters of an hour to the Panda Express restaurant in Columbus, IN (the nearest to me now) to try the Sichuan hot chicken - which I loved! The only thing was that when it was my turn to order, they'd run out of both the hot chicken and the mixed veggies that I wanted. I asked how long it was going to take for a new batch to be ready, and the server told me it would take 3 to 4 minutes. And I said I would just wait at the counter then. But about ten minutes passed without either dish appearing. I checked again and a server offered to write down my orders so that I could take a seat now. They would serve the meal at my table once it was ready. After a few more minutes they did. And the food tasted great. (I'll get the hot chicken again on my next visit!) The only thing was that I really don't think cooking either the veggies or the hot chicken needed to take that long (for one thing, later I realized a bowl sitting on a kitchen counter for the entire time I waited standing contained the frozen vegetables to be cooked, just with no one putting them into a pot...). They really could have done things differently - even start cooking before a dish runs completely out - to avoid such a long stockout on a dish. Another issue was that when we cleaned up our table after the meal and took the trash to the trash can, the trash can was completely full, and we had to just leave the plates on the very top. Years ago there used to be a Panda Express in Bloomington, IN, where I live. However, it rarely opened on time... Once I went to the restaurant nearly half an hour after its posted opening time, the doors were still locked, and I saw a server still preparing things inside the empty restaurant. From what I understand, this location opened about a month ago. We came for dinner tonight and enjoyed it. I had the pepper chicken, the walnut shrimp (my favorite PE entree) and the chow mien noodles. The noodles could have been warmer, but overall I have no complaints. The staff was friendly and efficient. There was a steady line of customers, some even waiting outside, but the staff was very prompt in fulfilling the orders. read more

I will not eat inside due to the horrible, LOUD music. You can't hear the person across from you. The food is never hot, just warm at best. The broccoli is never cooked. I like the flavor of the food so I get it to go and take it home to heat and finish cooking it. read more

Great location, cheerful staff, clean as an operating room, and the Americanized Chinese food was great, just as you would expect from Panda Express. Four stars because for years I have said that Panda just can't get fried rice figured out. Taste is boring and the rice just isn't anywhere near tender or moist enough to have the honor of being called fried rice. Someone there needs to move to Chinatown in Chicago and train with the masters, then bring back the secrets of a Chinese cuisine favorite. Ok this is the third try at this restaurant. I ordered online to be picked up. I give over and hour till I want pick. I am picking up at a none busy time. After 8 pm. I get here food is NOT ready and they are in no hurry to make it. I had my order to be ready at 8:15. I am here at 8:47 and finally got my food. So what is the point of ordering ahead? Do I get An apology???? Nope. Do I get anyone acknowledgment that they screwed up? Nope. Are they back there screwing around? Yep. I get when I came in obviously they were having people take their break after the rush but seriously no one could put my food together in the hour and fifteen minutes since I ordered. And if this has been the first time you know things happen. Even the second you know the pandemic screwed us all up but this is strike three. And I believe they have my fried rice and noddles sitting there in the styrofoam container ready for my entrees. They have been sitting there since before I got there so almost 1/2 an hour now. If the Chinese managers are working, I suggest you leave. I've been to the Panda Express in Columbus over 10 times and my experience has been consistently great unless the Chinese boss lady "serves" me. She gives significantly smaller portions and has lower standards. The other employees will make fresh bowls of food more often (and mix the scraps from the previous batch into the new, which is fine). The boss lady will serve nasty food and especially take advantage of drive-thru customers who can't see her "fill" the containers. My last visit was today. I had a sleeping kid in the car and took a chance going to the drive-thru window and it was obvious who was working. Not only was my box light, but I ordered the green beans and chicken and got ABSOLUTELY NO CHICKEN!!! That's just not possible by accident. She wouldn't try that to a customer in person who's watching through the glass. I'd be lying if I said I won't return. Sometimes I'm craving Panda. But I will never go through the drive-thru again. If boss lady's my only option inside, I'm out! BTW, YeeKee's is excellent if you want higher quality authentic Chinese food. UPDATE: Someone from Panda Express contacted me and offered a free meal. I didn't accept, but did raise my rating by a couple stars. Again, I'll be back to Panda (even this location). I just hope the boss lady is more generous with her scooper! UPDATE: I went to the same location again. They're actively interviewing and hiring new employees. A Chinese manager watched keenly as 2 younger, probably newly hired, high school aged girls served me. The first girl added my rice and noodles, barely filling the larger partition of the carry-out foam box. The second looked scared as she added my sweet fire chicken and broccoli beef. I got 1 partially filled scoop of chicken and 2 tongs of broccoli beef, almost no beef at all. I chose to stay quiet, since these young girls were obviously working as instructed. In the drive thru ordered a 3 entree plate plate with one side. Orange chicken, Beijing beef, and Broccoli beef was the entrees. The Orange chicken and Beijing beef was good and portions was ok but the broccoli beef had all broccoli and no beef like it was intentionally left out and I've seen another review with a similar complaint and being taken advantage of while ordering in the drive thru. You never know when you are getting the bottom of the bowl scraps so make sure and check your food after you receive it if you decide to eat here. read more

This place is not great. Ordering chicken teriyaki for pickup means getting only plain grilled chicken. I make a call to the store to ask what happened and I'm told that they don't put teriyaki sauce on the teriyaki chicken unless it's asked for. I guess ordering TERIYAKI chicken is not specifically asking for it. Then I was told some story about how they are like McDonalds and that if I want a Big Mac with bacon on it, I have to ask for it that way. I'm not real sure what that actually means or has to do with my order. Best part is, I asked for teriyaki sauce on the side and it was clearly visible on the receipt. Then I was told they are out. I asked why doesn't someone call and tell us that. Then I was told they have packets. Why wasn't packets included in order? Idk sir, we were busy. When picking up order, I noticed that several employees where actually standing around with zero customers in the store. Couldn't have been that busy.
