Stopped in at Culver's in Columbus, Indiana, with my buddies on our way home from Indianapolis, and it turned out to be a great stop to break up the drive. Culver's Culver's is always a solid choice when you're looking for something quick without feeling like you're settling for the usual fast-food options. This location had a nice, clean, casual atmosphere that worked perfectly for a group of friends stopping in for a meal. It's also conveniently located for anyone traveling through the Columbus area, which makes it an easy place to pull off the road and grab something to eat. The food was really good and came out fresh. The ButterBurgers are always a highlight at Culver's, and there's something about that toasted, buttery bun and fresh-tasting beef that makes them stand out from a lot of other fast-food burgers. Stopped in for a roadtrip meal given the convenience and 4.4 rating on Google. We ordered online, then went inside for pickup. The bathroom could have used attention (due to odor and lack of cleanliness), but the interior seemed clean enough. There is indoor and outdoor seating (including QR codes at the inside tables, where customers can order from the table) and a drive-through. Our food itself was okay; our drinks came with ice (when requested without), and our scoopies were significantly smaller than expected. I've ordered the same meal at various other locations and (if I'm not mistaken) have always gotten more custard, so the portions were disappointing here. Also, for the flavor of the day containing caramel, that scoopie ingredient was either minimal or missing. My favorite aspect of this Culver's visit was witnessing a young male employee ensuring an elderly couple got their purse they had forgotten on a chair. This is a very nice Culver's location. The food is always good, and service is fast and friendly. I often order on the app and use curdside pickup. Today, my order was ready five minutes after I submitted my order. The walleye is so good!! I only wish that walleye season was longer because it is only offered for a few short weeks in February and March. I also splurged and ordered a hot fudge sundae with marshmallow! Delicious! Nice day, they have 4 outdoor tables covered by umbrellas so we sat outside to eat. We came here with my two cousins while in Columbus to play in the Commons. We came during the lunch rush but it was oddly quiet in the restaurant despite it being filled with people. The people who bring your food kept taking our number for our table away when all our stuff hadn't been delivered. But we eventually got all of our food. Culver's is a pretty reliable lunch spot. Biggest downside was the chicken tenders they gave my 5 year old cousin were spicy... kids and spice don't tend to end up well but he was a champ and ate them. Today we visited to pick up food for family. We ordered several sandwiches, fries, and a shake. Paid for it and received a number. Waited over 20 minutes, watching everyone else get food and request missing order items. One girl just kept walking around with her hands on her hips, doing nothing. Rest we're trying to keep up. Husband finally had to request where our order was. They gave it after 25 mins, lukewarm fries, and the shake was more like melted soup. Needs more help, and all workers need to be helpful. The gentleman taking our order was informative and polite. The young lady who brought our food out was also pleasant and friendly. I don't know if I've ever eaten at a Culver's but when my daughter's team wanted to go here after a big basketball game, I obliged. All we wanted was an Oreo mixer. The young man who took our order was nice and attentive. He gave us a number and we sat down. We were the second person to be ordered on for the team so I expected our order to go out fairly fast. 20 minutes later, after our custard was not delivered, I showed my number to the young man who took our order and he blew me off. Later, a woman asked me my number. Our mixer was sitting by the custard machine. It was already melting. Overall, the place was clean and my daughter liked her custard. OK, I think I am done with Culver's here in Columbus!! No one got back with me from the last trip there. I went there last night for dinner...12/2/16, and I was disgusted!! I looked down at my burger and found a hair laying on the corner of a piece of cheese!!! I was so grossed out I threw my sandwich away!!! I probably won't get contacted back for this one either, but that's alright. Maybe I just need to give the board of health a call! The hats that are work are not enough to keep hair from falling on the food! Something else needs to be work, like a hair net! A ball cap isn't something that is going to work unless the hair is completely underneath the hat. I see people there all of the time with hair hanging out of the sides of the hat. Guys having long hair and it sticking out on all sides. Culver's, you have sorely disappointed. Not only have you ignored my other review, but you keep messing up!!! This location is nice because it's off of I-65. It's perfect if you're on a road trip and need a quick bite. Although, I came around 1pm and it was quite crowded, so it wasn't exactly super quick. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. (This was my first time at a Culver's.) It was pretty good. The lettuce was shredded so it kept coming out of the sandwich. There aren't any sauces on it, so that's either good or bad depending on how you like your sandwiches. I'm a little appalled by the calorie count of the custard items but who am I to judge? It was very tempting but I resisted. There are a few dining options nearby at this exit, but I would say this Culver's is the most appealing. read more

But don't give me 1 napkin already full of grease and expect that to do anything at all. We stop here every year on the way home from working the Vintage Wine Festival. This location is always clean and the service friendly. On the road from Indianapolis back to knoxville a billboard caught my eye, the words "butter burger" and 25 miles is what I saw. Thats all it took for me to want to know more. So for the next 25 miles my eyes were glued to every billboard until I got the info I needed to guide me to the "butter burger" Finally, I see what I had hoped to and had almost lost hope in finding, another billboard advertising this "butter burger" and now it was just 3 exits away!! My excitement was growing as I neared because having caught the full billboard this time I found they also served custard! I entered Culvers at long last and had to let several people go ahead, the menu was huge, I had never been and I wanted to make I was going to get the perfect order. I took on the Wisconsin Big cheese (3 patties with cheddar, american and havarti cheeses) and a pickle on top, onion rings and A concrete mixer ( a custard spun with toppings) The order came quick delivered table side with a small. Unfortunately, here is were it went flat for me. The meat was cold, the cheese wasnt melted and the bun was stale and crumbly the onion rings, also cold were bland, I ate it all but didnt want too. The concrete mixer was delicious but not enough to say Id go back. I later asked, why are they called butter it a butter burger? It was explained to be brushed butter on the top bun which if that were the case, they missed mine. So I usually don't like chain restaurants like this but Culver's is different. Their fried fish is wonderful and the portion is generous. Try the strawberry fields salad. It's loaded with pecans, strawberries, blue cheese and the chicken on top is tender and juicy. I don't particularly know what makes frozen custard so amazing, but Culver's has it figured out. I'm an ice cream snob and I don't know of a better place to get it than here! Try a mixer with strawberries and red raspberries. You're welcome. To top it off, the staff here is lovely. We had a terrible customer service experience at Culver's yesterday in Columbus, IN. We got food for take out and called to let them know that they forgot our ketchup and napkins. The person who answered the phone was very rude for really no reason so we asked to speak with the manager and she hung up on us. We called again and asked to speak with the manager again who ended up being the owner. The owner didn't apologize and just said it was a new staff member and he probably forgot. She then made the statement that: "If you don't like it, then just stay in your own town". She got what she wanted because we won't ever go back. My friend and I were having lunch here not long ago. It was his first time to eat here and I had been telling him how great and fresh the food is. We had just sat down when the server came with our Bacon Butterburgers, fries and drinks. I tasted one of the fries and even though it was not quite as fresh as they usually are, it was still better than the fries you get at other Restaurants. I told my friend that and the Owner of this Culver's was standing close by and she came over to the table and asked about what I had been telling my friend. I told her that the fries are always fresh and hot but today they are not quite as fresh. She offered to replace them but I told her that they are better than most restaurants just like they are. She soon went about her business and before long she came back to the table with fresh french fries. She said that she didn't feel right knowing that the food wasn't as fresh as it should be. That is one of the reasons Culver's is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is freshly made, It always tastes great, and the prices are very reasonable. Do yourself a favor and eat here often.
