While traveling back to TN, we decided to stop for a bite to eat. We made a great choice! This is hands down the best Culver's I have ever been to. The customer service was top notch. The gentleman taking our order was informative and polite. The young lady who brought our food out was also pleasant and friendly. The restaurant was clean and the decor was definitely in holiday spirit! The drive through had a long line, but they did a great job of getting out the food in timely fashion. Now, let's get to the food! I ordered a veggie burger that was seasoned to perfection! The fries were tasty too! My husband had a spicy chicken sandwich and he said it was perfectly balanced. It was the perfect amount of every ingredient in each bite. We always appreciate when our food comes out hot and fresh!

Never seems to disappoint. I might be a little biased; Culver's is a Wisconsin born restaurant. But you literally cannot beat the freshness of their food and the creamy, creamy custard!!! I tried a new flavor tonight;Dark Chocolate Decadence. Very dark, rich flavor!!! I sometimes struggle to 'taste' chocolate, but not Culver's custard. Always a burst of creamy sweet flavor.

    Never forget the cheese curds

Delicious Menu +1, Fast Food Prices +1, Convenient +1, Table Service Fast food +1 CHEESE CURDS, BURGERS, FRIES, FROZEN CUSTARD! Plenty of parking and right off the 65 interstate on 46! This place is a gem, really reminds me of Friendly's but better. Fast food prices, for table service & a delicious menu. The service might be slow at times, but its always worth it, especially for these prices! The curds are simply awesome, the burgers are legit & you can always get chicken sandwiches / BBQ pork too! Pro-Tip: They sell to go containers of Custard in the freezer by the register, NINJA YOUR ARM through to the back of the freezer to get the fresh ones, the dates are on there.

A disgusting hair found on my burger!!!!

Great place for kids; free ice cream instead of junk toys.

Food is so, so. Love the custard. Management and owners are horrible. Staff seems nice but scared of making mistakes.

They carry a slew of other dairy products such as cheese and butter. Flavors of ice cream vary as well as store hours based on the season. I believe their facebook page gives the most reliable source for hours, typically 11-9 through the summer. Staff is always super friendly, typically you'll just see Mrs. Rowlett making and serving ice cream while her brother is busy with the various cheeses and butter. Prices are sure to not break the bank and will certainly yield more than a few smiling faces indulging in such wonderful products. Craving more than a scoop or two? Well they've got half gallons ready to go home with you currently priced $12/each. My kids say Rowlett's is the best and I wholeheartedly agree!

I promise you, you've never tasted anything close to the coffee ice cream at Rowlett's Milkhouse Creamery. You'll thank me later. I took advantage of this beautiful fall day to drive to Campbellsvirg in Henry County and see this place for myself. Our office gets special treats on birthdays and I got to enjoy the coffee ice cream and I was in love. The texture was like silk on your tongue. The hint of coffee was just enough to fit through the sweetness to make it out of this world divine!!!!! So I'll shut my piehole about the coffee ice cream and talk about the other things Rowlett's has to offer. They have a large variety of cheeses, ice creams, ice creams and butter. I was looking forward to buying some butter for the banana bread I'm getting ready to make; however, they were sold out. Oh well, i'll have to make another trip there I guess. This business is locally owned by brother and sister Terry and Sharon Rowlett. I had the pleasure of meeting Sharon when I visited today and she was as nice as she could be. This is most definitely worth the drive and a great way to support local business. Y'all gotta make the trip. You won't regret it.

Grannies Cookie Jar & Ice Cream Parlor is a Metamora, Indiana icon, though it may be weird to call…read moreanything in this historic Franklin County town an actual "icon." There's quite a bit you know about me if you've followed my reviews for any length of time. This likely includes my long friendship with fellow Yelp Elites Rick G. and Holly G. - in fact, I performed their wedding ceremony! The three of us have actually collaborated on quite a few projects over the years, either due to Rick's music and comedy or because of my long history of activism and charity work. Frequently, our collaborations combine Rick and Holly's creativity with my activist spirit. For a couple years, Rick and Holly owned a shop in Metamora called Mosaic Learn & Play - I, in turn, owned a small charity bookstore within the walls of Mosaic. While I never spent nearly as much time in Metamora as did Rick and Holly, I spent my fair share of time there and grew to appreciate the picturesque, friendly town. Rick and Holly's wedding was even in Metamora! As is true of most historic towns, accessibility can definitely be an issue in Metamora. Truthfully, I'd say there's more that's not accessible than there actually is accessible in the town. Grannies is most certainly not perfect, a step greeting you at the front door and a crowded shop making even the most experienced wheelchair user more than a little paranoid. It's possible, I've been to Grannies more than once, but it's definitely a shop where I take my time wheeling and I am super careful everywhere I turn. Grannies, first of all, is an official world record holder. Granny owns over 2600 cookie jars - and I believe they're all actually here in this shop. She's held the record since 2012, as I recall. Grannies is, of course, an ice cream shop. Granny even makes all of her waffle cones by hand. Each one has a Hershey kiss at the bottom. She puts a whole lot of love in her waffle cones. The ice cream is pretty incredible, too. She has quite a few flavors and they're at reasonable prices for pretty darn amazing servings. Grannies is open 7 days a week throughout the year. While I can't say I'd drive all the way to Metamora for her ice cream, if I am in the Metamora there's no way I'm leaving without stopping at Grannies. Metamora is a beautiful little canal town. It has definitely been impacted by the pandemic, but the people are also hanging in there. I'm not quite going to say that time stands still here, but it's sure not a place you go to speed up. Metamora is a surprisingly easy drive from Indy and the entire Franklin County area could easily be a relaxing, fairly isolated day trip with Brookville also nearby as the seat of the county. There are even a couple places you can stay in Metamora, though they aren't particularly strong with access and you'd probably want to go to Brookville if that's needed. If you get a chance, head south to Metamora and be sure to stop in at Grannies for some ice cream and definitely check out those cookie jars!

Not just wall to wall... there are added sections in the middle, too! That's not mentioning the back room also has a ton of cookie jars! There are cookie jars shaped like fruit. There are cookie jars shaped like iconic characters. There are cookie jars with Coca Cola theme. Christmas. Animals. Just seriously, so. Many. Cookie. Jars. They do also have some coffee mugs and salt and pepper shakers. Bottom line, this shop is so quirky that I can't help but stop in when I'm in town. I just watch my step and make sure my purse won't knock the shelves. In Grannie's, if you break it, you buy it! PS -- there is a bathroom in the hall between the front room and back room, should you need one. They can be difficult to locate in Metamora if you don't know where they are.

They offer slushes, sundaes, banana split, cyclones (blizzards), and hand scooped cones and cups. Their ice cream is homemade and please be on the lookout for the fall flavors. They also have hotdogs, sloppy joes, cheese curds, salads, nachos, taco salad, chicken sandwiches, BLTs, walking tacos, ham and cheese, grilled cheese and chilli. The shop has a patio area that is under a pergola, so it is not fully covered. There is an adequate amount of seating available there, but it was a bit chilly out there during my visit. If you are eating at the patio, you still place you order at the window and then when it is ready, they will call your order out over the PA system. After you get your order, you can take it to-go or find a seat on the patio to enjoy your treat and/or food. The shop also has a drive through for those that do not want to leave their vehicles. I ordered a couple of slushies, a lemonade one and an apple one. They were pretty good. I ordered a couple of hot dogs and a vanilla cone for my littles. I got me a sloppy Joe. It took about 8 minutes to get my food. The frozen treats were brought out much earlier. My sloppy joe was OK. It was average, nothing special. But you should not expect much when you order food from an ice cream shop. The hot dogs were not very appealing and my son did not even finish his. I would say they were pretty average as well. The staff there was super friendly. Some of the friendliest I have experienced in a while. I recommend checking this place out to get your frozen treat fix. If you plan on getting food from here, I would just not expect much.
