The wait can be long, but trust me, it's absolutely worth it! Even though they've expanded to multiple locations and opened Little Petals, the original Cordova location is still the best when it comes to authentic flavor! My absolute favorite is definitely the Peony Chicken! It's consistently delicious every single time! So fragrant, tender, and full of flavor. The chef at the Cordova location really knows how to bring out that perfect wok hei (breath of the wok). That incredible aroma and smoky wok flavor make all the difference!

Is this the best Chinese restaurant in town? Good heavens, no!…read more But it may be the best in the buffet class, rivalling the Grand Pacific, though without the crowds, the noise, and the shrieking urchins. Good food throughout, regularly freshened. A small but nice salad bar (better than the Grand Pacific's). Others are right to lament the relative want of vegetables on he bar. But I do like their asparagus and their green beans. Favourites of mine include two or three of their chicken dishes...beef & peppers...their hot & sour soup (a tad too hot for my own very tame tastes, but a lovely flavour). One nice touch: on the bar, a big bowl of fresh chopped green onions to sprinkle on soup or other dishes--Ichiban's deep-fried shrimp is my #1 and gets a whack of those onions. There are a few regrettable things--not bad, really, so much as just ordinary. The "crab Rangoon" has been nowhere near either Rangoon or any species of crustacean. For dessert you can have fruit. Mostly canned. Ice cream in dixie cups. And regrettably commercial chocolate pudding. But then, we don't go to these places for dessert, do we? Here's one thing that needs to be remedied forthwith...Servers issue one big paper napkin to start, and bring lots of smaller diner-style serviettes on request. Good so far. But the last four times we've been, the big napkins have REEKED with an aroma that I'm pretty confident is mould. Yuck! My guess is that it's a storage issue. GOOD service. Prompt, polite, responsive, unobtrusive. A good place to go on a casual date, or with the fam, or with buddies from work. Good value. Chow down!

BEST BEEF AND BROCCOLI!…read more Updated review since I noticed some errors and etc! Listen, I know it's basically the same as everywhere else and blah blah blah but it's cheap, it's good, it comes in huge portions, and large/dinner/quart portions come in reusable to-go containers. I used to come with my family and friends all the time after church and the lady at the desk still remembers me even though it's literally been years since I walked in there. It's a family run business and the mom is incredibly friendly and awesome. The things I've listed under loved are consistently good and I've eaten those same items repeatedly. The fried rice is ok but it's mostly good eaten with an item that has sauce. My family prefers the Shrimp and Lobster Sauce with white rice as it doesn't conflict with the flavor but otherwise we eat Fried Rice with everything else. The egg drop soup has a bad aftertaste so I avoid it here. The spicy menu items aren't spicy at all and if I try again on a spicy item I will ask them to make it super spicy. A lot of things here can be pretty bland but maybe are good mixed together. For example, the Szechuan Chicken wasn't spicy and I didn't like the vegetables that came with it, but I liked the chicken itself, especially when mixed with fried rice. Why not just get Chicken Fried Rice? The chicken is cooked differently and isn't as great. I'd almost ask for the Szechuan Chicken without the vegetables. I ate here so much I got sick of it and didn't return for years. I recently had a craving for Chinese and decided I would get food from here. My family has eaten here enough to know what's good so we get all the same things over and over (with me getting random crap every time as I keep trying new menu items) but we have found enough awesome items that I always end up feeling stuffed afterward for pretty much the rest of the day. I'm pretty sure I won't be eating dinner tonight after that huge lunch we ate. I don't know when I'll be back but I can't hate on this place and I know I will be back to eat all my favorites with my family in the future. We also really liked the decor inside the restaurant, but this time we actually dined on the patio, which made for a nice change of pace So we ordered the wings, and they absolutely delicious --we liked them so much we ordered a second round. The crawfish dumplings were also solid, but the wings were the standout of the meal. We also tried the Bake MF Margarita, which I expected to taste like tea, but it's actually a refreshing peach-flavored margarita. At about $22, it's generously sized for two people and definitely worth trying. Our server, Mason, was very nice and made great selections for us. Overall, I'm giving Good Fortune Company (4/5). The only reason it wasn't a perfect score was the missing Slap Noodles. Even so, I'd happily return and hope to try them next time. Next time im ordering Ramen!
