Spicy curry vegetables Egg foo young Crab Rangoon Shrimp Fried Rice Shrimp Lo Mein

Terribly unfortunate experience. I've seen this place for a while as I live nearby, but I've never stopped. Today I decided to try them out as my other spot was closed. I ordered 2 orders of shrimp fried rice, shrimp egg foo young, veggie low mein and spicy hot veggies, along with some crab ragoon for $65. Got home and the the moment I opened the first container of rice I noticed a smell that wasn't particularly aromatic. It wasn't sour per se but it definitely wasn't alluring. The same was true with each container I opened. Not wanting to be a grump, I made plates for my family and sat down to eat. The first bite was terrible. It tasted like it smelled. Kinda old, kinda musty, kinda like dirty dish towels or something. The Egg Foo You has the worse I've ever had. I'm not a big return food guy, but this was going to be a huge waste so I called and let them know I was returning it. Upon my return the guy tried to tell me I'd eaten the food, which was obviously not the case as each container was at least 90-100% full. After a back and forth he returned $46 which was ok with me as I did eat the crab ragoon and some of the rice was in my bowl at home. I had to show the guy a picture (shown) of the food still sitting in the bowl at home. Ultimately he told he he wouldn't serve me again, which is perfectly fine considering the food was not good and smelled bad. I'll never visit again. But at least now when I pass it up, I KNOW it isn't somewhere to stop.

Service was quick but the chicken had WAY too much sauce going on. It was really soggy and just too much. It is a matter of taste so if that is what you like, you will LOVE this. For me, not so much. This is a cheap, quick place to grab lunch. Try them out. Just not my thing.

Mongolian beef

The price seems fair. When I try an new place I try the same thing every time. For this is was crab Rangoon and Mongolian Beef. There's a few seats but it's a mostly a take out place. Said it would be 10 minutes but I think it was 5 at most. Just long enough to fry the Crab Rangoon, it was good. 4/5 for that. Still hot when I got back to the house. The Mongolian Beef. That would be a 2/5. Had carrots, green peppers green onions snow peas and mushrooms. None of the red chillies you'd expect and a lot of other things you would expect. I think this was filler because of beef prices. It wasn't bad but it's not what I wanted. I think I'll try a few other places before I cuticle back around and try it again

Food was OK. Service was OK. Feels like a takeaway joint not a true sit down restaurant.

We eat here at least once a week. My daughter always eats the sesame chicken. I like to try different things. Never had a bad meal.

Come to find out, you can build your own salads, rice bowls, wraps, soup bar and they got a baked potato station lol. What a good combination. Pretty good ingredients to choose from. All of the usual things you'd expect on a salad bar. I did try the chicken swarma.. delicious. Never heard of it but it slaps. They have little cups as you go, that you can use to taste things before adding them to your bowl. Just a cute little place. Staff is young, respectful, helpful. The music is good! A genre you wouldn't expect. I'm not gone spoil it lol. Prices??? Depends on how heavy your bowl is. The register has a scale that weighs your food to see how much it costs. There's a standard cost for the bowl, plus how heavy it is. Makes sense to me. Try them!

Their salad bar ingredients are super fresh, and they keep them fresh allll day by replacing when needed. It's very clean inside, and I'd say a very relaxed environment. There are always about 6-10 customers in there when I visit, but I've never had any issues at all with the line at the salad bar. Their honey dijon dressing is ... THE BEST. I always feel full and content when I finish my salad here! Please try if you haven't yet!!

I had a perfect dirty martini and my husband had an excellent old fashioned ( chose not to do the smoked version. ) We were seated at the time of our reservation with courteous and prompt attention from our waiter. He informed us of all the specials and gave us the right amount of time to relax before ordering. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. I like the atmosphere, not too large of a dining area, I like the separate room of tables, with a fireplace, along with the area of booths for a more intimate setting. The bar itself is large and has seating on the outskirts of it as well.

I do believe C and I have only been here once as a couple. It did not go well at all, so we have not been back together, as she is holding a bit of a grudge. It's a long story but it all ties back to service. That night we had the worst table in the building and service was spotty at best. Food was still pretty good, just whole ass annoyed by the entirety of the rest of the experience. I am lucky enough to be able to be taken to/host dinner with clients and manufacturers a good bit. They like places like this so I get by ever so often. Gotta love expensed meals!!! Tehehe I like the open kitchen concept they have and the bar is really cool. The metal shelves at the bar that store the booze are bad ass. It's warm and cozy and has a great vibe overall. The last time we sat on the enclosed patio. I had not sat out there before. I think the larger tables all go out there. We had seven and there was another group of about twenty in the same room with us. Food ranges from fairly good to fucking great. I've never had anything bad here, but a few sighs have been had, mostly by misunderstood expectations of what I was getting I would say. So, quite possibly I am the problem. As with most of my problems, actually... The oysters Rockefeller are very different from the norm. Fried oysters on a side of spinach. That's what it seems like. I ate it up, don't get me wrong. I did just switch to only fried oysters after the first one. No need wasting stomach space on spinach. Charbroiled oysters is always a good move and the preparation remains traditional on that one. I do find the oysters to be quite massive and hard to chew the whole thing at once. Cutting them just seems silly though. Steaks are prepared very well and to your liking each time. I have never had a bad one. Good flavor too. I am going to spring on the Hawaiian Ribeye the next time I go on my dime. It's a classic that I remember from Steak and Ale as well as Houston's. Both now gone from Memphis. I like the she crab soup an awful lot, and just about every entree I have had here is killer. You really cannot go wrong with the food. Just order something you normally like and boom. I will also say this. The short ribs I had last time were some of the best I have ever had. Bravo on that! Additionally, I had two giant pieces for like $40! I could only eat one of them after all of the appetizers. Oh.... Yea. They have a hot lobster roll that is good! You don't see that in Memphis very often!! Get you some. Wait.... Lamb Lollipops. They have evolved some of the years but they have really good lamb chops. They used to be the exact same dish as their sister concepts of Itta Bena, BB Kings, and Lafayette's. I am not sure if the whole family still has the old version or not. Here it has changed a good bit. As I write this, I crave it.... Ugh. Damn your foods and your seductive prowess food skills! Lastly, Tommy Peters did great things for this city's food scene. I am sad that he is gone but I know he was proud of this one! Ok. That's enough, Adam.... No one reads this crap anyway. '26 - 48
