a close up of a plate of noodles

Very Authentic. Nobody outside of front desk spoke a lick of english. Could hear them chattering and cooking my food with the gas burners. Took only ten minutes and was $12 for a whole plate of chicken, noodles, and fried rice alongside an egg roll. A bit sad that they only serve canned drinks though, fountain does not work Very quiet as well.

a container of rice and vegetables

I ordered combination fried rice, combination chow mein, wings, eggs rolls, and cream cheese ragoons. Food was very bland. No taste at all. I'm sure you guys can make the food a bit tastier. Add some salt or pepper. Not trying to bash you guys but I was really excited to try you guys out based on the pictures and review. Just trying to hold you accountable.

Vegetable Lo Mein, Hunan Shrimp, Veggie Croguettes, Moo Shu Vegetable

Delicious! We ordered from Uber Eats, the food showed up faster than expected, still hot, and very yummy. Kids loved it, and we'll definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend the veggie croguettes & Moo Shu vegetables.

Petals of a Peony is one of the best restaurants in Memphis, and I wish I had tried it sooner. I…read moremade the mistake of assuming it's just another American Chinese takeout spot. It is not. It is a Michelin recognized (i.e., fancy) authentic Szechuanese restaurant. While I can't comment on the authenticity, the flavors are deeper and bolder than any Chinese cuisine I've ever had. My brother and I fight over which is better, the boiling fish or the dry pot. Really, everything we've had has been excellent. It's possible to go affordable here with something like a fried rice dish, but I recommend being adventurous and trying something new. Every dish is sharing size and a table of two could eat their fill with one or two dishes. They get busy during peak times but they're good at turning tables and I've never had a bad wait. I'll note that the food comes out suspiciously quick, seemingly regardless of what we order it takes around 5-10 minutes, even when we brought a larger party.

FAVORITE SPICY FOOD OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE…read more I legit am in love with this place. I LOVE how the food had spice but it isn't overwhelming. It adds to the flavor without being the only thing to the food. I just wish I had more people who liked spicy food to come eat here with me. I came back with some friends from out of town and it was still amazing. My fav thing is still on the Lunar New Year Menu: the Sichuan Mala Dry Pot. It had amazing flavor, good spice, and everything in it was just awesome. I've found a similar thing on the regular menu so I won't have withdrawals except for the fact that I genuinely want to eat here every week and can't hahah To try: Mapo Tofu Appetizer: Steamed Chicken with Chili Sauce Edamame Beef Spicy Crispy Chicken Sichuan Style Fried Rice Dandan Noodles Spicy Dry Noodles Loved: - House Special Mala Xiang Guo Dry Pot - Lunar New Year: Sichuan Mala Dry Pot (ABSOLUTE FAV) - Peony Chicken Liked: - Beef and Broccoli - Fried Rice: Yangzhou Style - Lunar New Year: Homestyle Whole Fish - Lo Mein: chicken, shrimp, and extra spice - Twice Cooked Pork Ok: - Tea: Jasmine - Lunar New Year: Garlic Pork Ribs Disliked: - Lunar New Year: Four Happiness Meatball - Traditional Kung Pao Chicken

Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and kept our drinks filled while making sure our table had everything we needed. The customer service was easily the highlight of the visit. Since it's a buffet, there was a nice variety of food to choose from. They had classic Chinese favorites, seafood, noodles, fried rice, dumplings, desserts, and more. I tried a little bit of everything, and while nothing really stood out as exceptional, everything was fresh, hot, and perfectly acceptable. It was a solid buffet experience without any major complaints. The restaurant itself was clean, and the buffet stations stayed organized even during the lunch rush. Food was refilled regularly, so there was never much waiting for fresh items. If I had to rate the food alone, I'd say it was average. It wasn't the best buffet I've had, but it wasn't disappointing either. The real reason I'd come back is because of the excellent service. The staff treated our entire group with kindness and professionalism, which made the lunch enjoyable. Overall, Pacific Fusion is a good option if you're looking for a buffet with plenty of choices and outstanding customer service. It's also a great place for larger groups since they handled our party of eight with ease. I'd definitely return, especially for another work lunch.

In terms of the food, I enjoyed the variety of American and American-inspired Chinese food. My son enjoyed the fried fish and chicken. I appreciated the service, which was quick and they were constantly checking. The ambiance is nice. I like the fish tank. It gave me a sense of nostalgia. I had the Mongolian bar, and it was just okay. I didn't try the sushi but it looked fantastic. My son was ecstatic about the selection of ice cream. Overall, it was pretty good for a buffet.

When placing this order, I was looking for NY style Chinese and this seemed to have everything I…read morewas looking for on the menu. We ordered : Beef Lo Mein - the noodles were fine but the beef was terrible. The consistency of the meat felt like you're eating chewed up gum. They did follow my request on not adding veg to the lo mein so that's what earned them the second star on the review. General Tsos Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken, both were fine. Very standard but the sweet and sour chicken was a bit on the dry side but it's okay. Fried scallops were fine. A bit dry but not bad. Chicken with broccoli - I specially asked for this in garlic sauce and they did just that so thank you so much, this goes into the second star of the review. This meal was fine as well. The shrimp roll was absolutely terrible. It was probably the worst egg roll/shrimp roll I have ever had in my life. The cabbage tasted like some kind of cleaning product or disinfectant. The shrimp was absolutely disgusting and the size of my thumbnail. It was just -1000/10 Overall this is a 2.5-3/5 for me, but I will not be ordering from here again.

Do not expect table service but if you are nice you just may get it. You also get some choice: You can either get an egg roll, or, a bottle of water if you dine in! Food takes just a bit longer than you might expect for a takeout place, but, the important part--it is worth the wait--which is the reason for the extra star. The prices are very reasonable, almost cheap! If you truly enjoy take out Chinese food, this place is worth a stop and may become your "go to".
