BEST BEEF AND BROCCOLI! Updated review since I noticed some errors and etc! Listen, I know it's basically the same as everywhere else and blah blah blah but it's cheap, it's good, it comes in huge portions, and large/dinner/quart portions come in reusable to-go containers. I used to come with my family and friends all the time after church and the lady at the desk still remembers me even though it's literally been years since I walked in there. It's a family run business and the mom is incredibly friendly and awesome. The things I've listed under loved are consistently good and I've eaten those same items repeatedly. The fried rice is ok but it's mostly good eaten with an item that has sauce. My family prefers the Shrimp and Lobster Sauce with white rice as it doesn't conflict with the flavor but otherwise we eat Fried Rice with everything else. The egg drop soup has a bad aftertaste so I avoid it here. The spicy menu items aren't spicy at all and if I try again on a spicy item I will ask them to make it super spicy. A lot of things here can be pretty bland but maybe are good mixed together. For example, the Szechuan Chicken wasn't spicy and I didn't like the vegetables that came with it, but I liked the chicken itself, especially when mixed with fried rice. Why not just get Chicken Fried Rice? The chicken is cooked differently and isn't as great. I'd almost ask for the Szechuan Chicken without the vegetables. I ate here so much I got sick of it and didn't return for years. I recently had a craving for Chinese and decided I would get food from here. My family has eaten here enough to know what's good so we get all the same things over and over (with me getting random crap every time as I keep trying new menu items) but we have found enough awesome items that I always end up feeling stuffed afterward for pretty much the rest of the day. I'm pretty sure I won't be eating dinner tonight after that huge lunch we ate. Chicken fried rice was bland and required major soy sauce for flavor. Also, their "large" is everyone else's usual. Egg rolls contain only cabbage. Orders are not served in order. If it bothers you that others who arrived after you are served before you, you'll have an issue. This appeared to be the norm. read more

I wanted to like it. Wanted to be generous because of all of the good reviews. Maybe it was just an off day for the cooks. Don't know. It was $15 wasted. It wasn't good. I would not recommend it to anybody. Got cream cheese wontons and the General Tso's dinner with fried rice and egg roll on a Saturday evening. First, the prices on Yelp are not accurate right now. The restaurant's order site was about 20% higher. Most likely due to Covid. Prices might be lower if you order in-store, but I didn't check. If you're going for portion size and not necessarily taste, this might be a good place for you to eat. They give you a whole lot of food! In my case, 3/4 of it went into the trash. :( The wontons were mostly inedible. They had plenty of filling. They were triangle-shaped, and all of the edges were hard and very chewy, like they had been prepared well ahead of time and rewarmed. The taste of the filling was just eh. No real discerning flavor. The red sauce that came with them just tasted like sugar. The egg roll was quite large. The outside tasted like the oil it was fried in. The inside was bland. After two bites, I pulled the filling out to see why. It was just large pieces of cabbage and one small piece of celery. No flavoring, no other ingredients. Eh. The fried rice had no flavor. I ended up adding ponzu sauce once I got home to make it edible. Eh. The General Tso's chicken was just ok. Sweet instead of spicy. No heat at all. A bit chewy. The chicken inside was on the dry side. That said, out of the 4 items, it was probably the best tasting. I'll mark this off my list of quick food Chinese places. read more

It's a real hole in the wall with faded menu board and almost never anyone inside but the food is delicious and served fairly quick by nice and generous staff. I usually order the sesame chicken in the Quart size and I have enough for at least 3 meals. My husband gets the sweet and sour chicken and it's crispy and hot with great flavor. You have to ask for chop sticks and fortune cookies but they've always been really generous with them and we've never had to pay extra. Over all it's on the expensive side but you get lots of food and the place is clean and fast. Definitely my favorite place to get Chinese (or American Chinese) on that side of town. I'm from Cali and I recently moved to Collierville for a job opportunity. This was my first Chinese food experience in TN and I'm unimpressed. I've met nothing but really nice people, however, today I did not experience good customer service. The older lady as soon as I walked in seemed as if she was trying to rush me to order and when I had to sign the receipt she didn't even hand me a pen. Business owners should be careful about whom they treat poorly, you never know which customer could bring your business notoriety and generate revenue. I kept telling her I only wanted the orange chicken by itself and instead she kept trying to correct me and I ended up with a whole damn lunch meal I will never eat here again. The beef was so fatty it was not even edible. The broccoli was barely cooked. They give huge portions but a very small portion of rice to accompany it. Like 6 cups of beef and broccoli and 1 cup of rice. * should have known when I saw the huge potion of beef for such a low price that I was about to eat rat meat... Vegetable LO mein- very few veggies in a monstrous serving of over cooked soggy noodles smothered with overly sugary soy sauce. Sesame chicken- this was the only thing that was somewhat edible. However the fried chicken balls soaked with sugary sweet and sour/duck sauce had a very unusual taste to them. Matter of fact, all the food had a strange melted styrofoam metallic old oily taste. Very bizarre and hard to distinguish. But it was gross. The egg rolls were beyond gross. Very thick breading with little stuffed in it besides a leaf of cabbage with a horrible oil taste of over- used, burnt oil that hasn't been changed in years. I should add- I ordered this food not expecting real deal Chinese. I would go to ATAN, Iron Chef or Lee Khan for that. No, we ordered this expecting a step up from mall food and few steps down from real Chinese. BUT-What we got would put mall Chinese food on Food Network hall of fame. Seriously. Do. Not. Eat. Here. I feel awful wasting so much food tonight. And Wasting $25 (yes yes it's cheap but you get what you pay for people!...wait... Actually it's not worth even being cheap) I do not know how in the heck this place is still open. It blows my mind. I don't know how the heck you mess up Lomein either though. But they found a way. My dearest yelpies- please, if you never listen to me about anything but this...stay away!! I liked it. The service was good and the food was just as good. My only complaint would be that I ordered Sesame Chicken, and I could taste a hint of Orange in it which had me wondering, did they mix the sauces up or something? It wasn't strong enough to be Orange Chicken but the flavor was deff there which kind of irritated me because I'm not a fan of Orange Chicken. Maybe they used the same spoon to serve the orange chicken and sesame chicken...who knows. But the Lo Mien was sooo good. They don't have Pork Lo Mien on the menu for some reason but ask and you shall receive. Overall I do enjoy their food but you should always remember to check your order that it's complete because sometimes they don't get it right but most often they do. I moved to Memphis in September. I have tried several different Chinese restaurants, but this is the best I have had! They serve good sized portions. My favorite is the House Fried Rice and Kung Pao Shrimp! I need to branch out and try other things, but I enjoy this so much. I normally do "take-out," they wait normally is about 15 minutes. Our go-to place for Chinese. We have come here so often over the years that the lady at the front recognizes whichever of us comes to pick it up. We have literally come here for years and always get the large portions to share. They come in large containers that we use as tupperware or as containers to give food away to friends in. Very convenient! My favorite thing to get here is the shrimp in lobster sauce with white rice. Ok...one thing you should know about Yum's before getting your hopes up and disappointed is that you should never order chinese food there. Simply put, it is not good. People who are used to sub par chinese at the yuckiest buffets may go for it, but its best to leave that alone. That said, they have some awesome food and that is the philly steak sandwiches. They are awesome. The meat is tasty and blended with onions and you can get mushrooms added too. The buns are steamy soft and the sandwiches are large .and a good price and the fries that go with them are also delicious. My only complaint is the smell in the building. It smells like stale old cleaner. They could use some air freshner to improve the smell for sure.
