Awful service and management. I witnessed an attendant Dio simply pacKaging food orange chicken for an order leaving it out and then 10 minutes later unboxing and placing it back on the serving tray. HOW AWFUL! I waited on an evening at 8pm for 15 minutes for Chicken Terraki and Pepper Chicken. What a disappointment. As just about every item was simply left empty. Brandon who was putting my food together could care less. Didn't even want to pretend he was enjoying or wanted to make a good impression. My portions were disappointing too. Sad Sad experience. Do yourself a favor and drive a mile down the road and get great Chinese at Formosa for about the same price. While it's quick with many selections, the food is bland and over seasoned. The staff is not friendly and almost seem put off that you're actually there to eat. The floor near the soda machine was beyond sticky, but shoe was stuck to the floor. Orange chicken, sour with a taste of vitamin C powder that u use to make the drink... lo mein, hit and miss. and it's not the first time I've giving the place chances. The cook is terrible.... You know, way back in the day Panda Express was pretty good. You could count on a hot and decent meal for a decent price. Now, it's just not great. My go-to and really how I judged Chinese food is low mein/chow mein (whatever they call their noodle dish). Panda Express' version is so sad. It has no flavor whatsoever and is bland and dry. Every time. Orange Chicken is usually ok. They look like they would have some great dishes, but again, they are usually lacking in flavor. Why? Also, the rice is dry and not a rice that should be used for Chinese food. Chinese food should use Jasmine rice, not whatever long-grain, cheap rice they can get. Jasmine rice should be the basic rice to use. Always! There aren't a lot of great Chinese food options in town, but most places are at least better than Panda Express. read more

Panda Express is the quintessential fast food Chinese. As long as your expectations are tempered and measured you will not be disappointed. We went here when it was only a week open and to us, it was just fine. Okay, it was good. It was not bad, we got exactly what we thought we would for twenty bucks. I can't express enough that it is literally the fast food of Chinese. And that's not an insult. If you want something quick and fast but not a burger or something sliding between two pieces of bread, Panda Express can hit that void. Their customer service is a work in progress but that's okay and understandable for a new place. You really can't outdo getting 2 combo meals and rice for about 9 bucks. We started off the evening by trucking out to the New Cheesecake Factory at Hamilton Place. Yes, I know it's VD week. But it's Tuesday and there's just two of us! We get there and both of us are tired and hungry. 40 minute wait. Pass. Head towards Hixson and she says, we haven't been to the new Panda yet. Ok, I say. Let's go! So we get there about 7:30 pm, so everything should be cranking on all 8, right? Brand new restaurant so should be clean and stocked up and and awesome new employees, right? I have been to the Panda at HP before and it was just ok. I'm no Chinese cuisine aficionado, but I do enjoy several Chinese entrees. So for those who have never been to Panda, you can do 2 entrees and a side, or 3 entrees and a side. I went for 2 and a side. I tried some 'Sweet Fire Chicken' 'Orange Chicken' and Chow Mein for my side. I was going to try their Sweet and Sour (don't judge), but it the serving bowl behind the glass was empty. I asked the lady behind the counter if she was about to put some more in, seeing that they would be open for a couple more hours, but she simply said they were out. Ok. While I was settling up, the Mrs. was getting our drinks. I sat down in corner table and noticed the table was nasty. It was sticky and still had pieces of trash on it. I grabbed a napkin and cleaned it so our tray didn't stick to the table. The Mrs. sat down with our drinks and said "No ice." I said, Huh? She said the ice machine is out. I'm thinking, Brand new restaurant and the ice machine is out? I saw a worker pass by and asked if they needed to reload the ice machine. She said cooly, "Oh it doesn't work." She then asked "Did you want ice?" I wanted to say, No, I just randomly press the ice lever to see if ice machines are working. I didn't. I said yes, we both would like ice with our drinks. (Here's an important note. Normally I could drink Coke or whatever is served without... because they pour out cold. The drinks coming out were not.) So we had warm beverages without ice. She comes back with a very small cup of ice. Like almost enough for one of us. It's hard to overcome these things at this point for a restaurant. I tried to eat the food, but it was below average. The chow mein was luke warm and the orange chicken was overpowering. The highlight of this mess was the Sweet Fire Chicken which had a good flavor, but the temp was also cool. The employees were friendly enough. After I asked for ice, I noticed they put a stainless steel pan by the drink machine with some ice in it. This experience reminds me more of something you would get in the Dominican Republic. I was not impressed. They have some issues to work out before I come back. My hubby went to a Panda Express in CA and really liked it so we tried the new one next to Aubrey's. All I can say is I wish we went to Aubrey's. Had never been to either but this Panda was nothing like he remembered. The entrees were mediocre at best and not inexpensive either. Needless to say, no comment on the service...the orange chicken was ok but the fried rice didn't seem fresh. I also love Kung pao chicken and it wasn't spicy with little chicken. Just not impressed but wish them luck since they're new. read more

just now Why order online if the only way to pick up is through the drive through line???? Seriously can you not have someone walk it out or at least let people in to pick it up one at a time? Their food is average but since this whole quarantine thing started we're kind of running out of choices. My biggest complaint is that I ordered online (as instructed to do by the recorded message when I called ahead) and when I got to the restaurant (on time) I have still been sitting in the drive thru line for 20 minutes and will likely be here at least another 20 based on the amount of cars in front of me. Then when you try to call (and actually try to talk to a human voice) you listen to an automated recording that just reads the menu to you. Eventually it puts you through to a "store representative" ...except it doesn't. It rang for 2 minutes straight and then hung up on me! Where is the customer service? Or any kind of service for that matter. .... and it gets better. After 45 minutes in line, and 1 and a half hours after i originally ordered my food (and 40 minutes after the time I was told it would be ready) the food wasn't even ready! Plus when I checked the order they did give me I was missing an entire meal and my sons drink he ordered. Ridiculous! You can do better Panda Express. But if you don't, that's fine. When you order a bunch of soy sauce to go with your order you expect to get soy sauce, right? Wrong. This has been the third time this has happened where I've asked for soy sauce either in app or in person and they have completely messed that up. No explanation, they mess it up. This is the first time eating at the location at Northgate (I've eaten at the one at Hamilton Place multiple times) so I was expecting the same taste in the food quality but I understood if the customer service was going to be difficult at the new location. I got my usual two meat and a side dish. I always get half rice and half noodles and the Beijing beef and teriyaki chicken was my choices today for the meats. The rice and the noodles were very dry and the noodles lacked the cabbage that usually comes in it. The ice machine was broke and the bucket of ice that was sitting there was empty. So we all had Luke warm beverages. It was after church so it was busy and I didn't want to have to stand in line for ice. The tables never got cleaned in between people coming and going (you clean off your own table garbage) It seemed they were under staffed for the Sunday lunch crowd. Have a one star because a negative star wasn't available. For starters, I wanted to order the family special for me and my family. I pulled up to the drive through and started my order, the employee responded with "we are out of that, want to wait?" That was the response after everything I ordered. As I pulled around I saw that there was not one single person in the place, except employees. While waiting on my food, 3 separate couple went in, ordered and were eating before I got anything. Got home and the "Beef & Broccoli" was only Broccoli, literally ONLY broccoli. My wife took it back and the employees were rude and suggested that we ate all the beef out. The box was literally stuffed with broccoli and not one piece of beef wouldn't even fit. Then the manager said, "it's 20%beef and 80% broccoli. Asked for a number to the corporate office after the employees and manager were completely rude. They said there isn't a number for corporate. Back at home, the fried rice was dry and crunchy, the noodles were dry and rubbery. Don't waste your money, plenty of other places to eat with good food. read more

Went today for our second time to grab lunch. We always get the honey walnut shrimp, which is an additional charge. Didn't get much shrimp even though we got double entree and we're paying extra. I understand it's more pricey, but anytime they do any other meal it's loaded with meat. Went through the drive thru and was told to go park and wait on our food.. which is odd because it's a drive thru. If we had went in I know we would have gotten our food right away so I was confused on why we had to wait so long. Food was good but the Crab Rangoon's were odd. I'm use to sweet cream cheese in Rangoon's but these had a savory cream cheese? Will eat here again but won't be getting the Rangoon's. read more

Shortened on serving size. When I was served by one of the people at the front, both me and someone else were shortened a serving size, without any obvious real about beef portions. On the other hand, the one paying for the meal got twice the meal size, despite ordering essentially the same entre. read more
