We found free protein in our rice yesterday. Pretty sure we didnt order that.

Yesterday was the nightmare of all Panda Express experiences. Me and my family went there for dinner and found: Crunchy fried rice, crunchy white rice, and 1 very alive bug crawling through the rice on my daughter's plate! The blasted thing was huge! We did not order that extra protein!

It was a Panda Express kinda day. The restaurant is clean and organized. I appreciate that everyone was wearing masks (COVID-19 time), hand sanitizer is available, and that social distancing is encouraged. We visited close to opening time and there was plenty of entree options available. Everything looked delicious. Employees were friendly, quick, and wrapped up our order neatly. Some of our favorites would have to be their Orange Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Beijing Beef, and Cream Cheese Rangoons. I appreciate that nothing is overly salty or greasy. Flavors are all there. We were in and out in no time.

I went in there the people there was so frazzled the manager was just yelling at customers, telling them to move along. She was very rude. Jocelin what's your name? The food was subpar and I ended up not even giving them the full business only because I didn't want to disappoint my child and my neighbors child. We ended up ordering from a Chinese restaurant down the street better service better quality in this time where restaurants are struggling and I am a product of this industry for many years companies, and to be very careful by hiring people that are incompetent she might know how to open and close but maintaining customer service that is what this industry is all about because otherwise they can ask all the many many many businesses that were once empires and are out of business this day and age. I usually hate people that are going to say what I'm about to say, but they didn't lose just an order here and there I live down the street from them and I have ordered many times even for my company they have some great staff there, but the staff tonight was horrible and I have noticed even the quality of service and food Can use some work This is Miss Jocelin huffing, and puffing at customers because she is overwhelmed. As I mentioned before I have managed in this industry for 16 years, even though I'm no longer into it this is a very hard industry that you have to deal with a lot but if you cannot handle a simple pop during the day or night then you are not cut out for it.

Panda Express is the King of fast food Chinese for sure. The staff at this location are very pleasant, helpful and not pushy. Very nice. The food is quite good for the price. They have 4 options for sides - white rice, brown rice, fried rice and lomein. I like their simple lomein. The Angus beef steak costs a dollar something extra but it's nice. I think this is the best Chinese fast food restaurant.

I'm not sure how long this Panda Express has actually been in Centreville - but I only noticed it for the first time about 2-3 days ago. It's been many years since I've eaten at a Panda Express - I've always enjoyed it - it's not authentic Chinese. (I always have to state that now for Kevin's benefit - otherwise he will feel the need to make a wiseass comment :-) ) It's definitely a fast-food, Americanized Chinese food, but I still like it. When I walked in, my nostrils were assaulted by some really fabulous smells! I ordered the 2 entree platter which comes with one side. I opted for the Firecracker Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, and Fried Rice, plus a bottle of water. I'm guessing the average American would think that these dishes were spicy hot - I could detect some heat - but I prefer much spicier. Still, it was a quick and tasty dinner. Not nearly as good as Charlie Chiang's or Sino's Inn though.

Just got home after picking up a Family Feast with the family. Paid the extra for the Premium Shrimp. They gave us the usual full carton of Orange Chicken and Sweet Chicken. Guess you don't get as much Shrimp as all the other Entrees. Even when you pay the extra for it. Not the first time Panda Express has cheated the customers. Fairfax Mall did it with all the Cartons coming out half full. For the Love of God. According to Corporate. The carton was suppose to be full. Yet, a response to my wife's Yelp suggests otherwise. We elected to pursue this with Corporate directly due to conflicting information. How is it that Corporate and other locations can disseminate the same policy and this location is not Shameful. Love Panda. But not returning to this corrupt location.

This is the best panda I've ever been to. An employee even went around the tables offering sauces and fortune cookies.

That being said, the quality is quite good, the prices are reasonable, the portions are good, and as a bonus, they will customize any dish any way you like (sauce, spice level, etc.). The dishes we've tried here have generally been UNDERseasoned -- that is, they could use a little more salt, MSG, soy sauce, garlic, whatever the dish calls for. But hey, I can fix that. It's harder to fix OVERseasoned food.

Anyway, they have all day combos which comes with rice or fried rice and an egg roll. Most places only have combos for lunch. We ordered the general tso chicken combo with plain rice and chicken in hunan style with plain rice, chicken lo mein, and Szechuan green beans. I didn't love either the general tso chicken or Hunan chicken, but they were both good. General tso chicken includes both white and dark meat. The dark meat isn't skinless, and immediately falls off with the batter. The sauce was good though- tangy and sweet. I agree with another Yelp that the protein could be chopped into smaller pieces. Hunan style chicken was a touch salty but was good with rice. The green beans are usually my favorite at other restaurants, but it was a little under seasoned and under cooked here. The lomein was nothing special. Chicken in the lomein is dry. Ambiance- it looks like they don't offer dine in any more. The tables were clustered and roped off.

At the time…read morethere was an opinionated man taking our order which wasn't a huge deal, just weird, but the food left something to be desired. Fast forward to 2026 and we thought we'd try again because maybe something had changed. Ordered through the online platform, enough so that we could score the free spring rolls. Food arrived super-fast to our delight! Unfortunately, the food wasn't so great. The chicken appetizers were either incredibly overdone, flavorless, or both. The spring rolls were okay. The soup was about 90% white pepper, while the soup crackers were extremely stale and rancid. One of the entrees was incredibly salty; the other was incredibly bland. The appearance of both was very brown with obvious charring (not the good kind). Every dish seemed to share the same particular flavor. The fortune cookies, however, were very fresh, not stale as I'd expected given everything else. Conclusion: I already wasn't a fan in the past, and it seems to have gone downhill from there. Would not recommend.

He assumed I was vegan to lose weight (I'm not) and said I looked malnourished and needed to eat meat. Also unprompted. He compared my weight to my friend's (she is thin but taller), saying she was fat/curvy. I can assure you that she is skinnier than he is. He also said he thought that my 17-year-old friend was 12 (after calling her curvy!!!), ALSO unprompted. He continued to make small talk after both of us were just trying to order and leave. We were incredibly civil (I regret being so nice) and I could tell my friend was uncomfortable. After we left, I remembered that I don't have to be nice to assholes, so this review is going to be far from kind. I hope this review can warn someone to never take their daughters here. Old men don't get the societal pressures women face. It's more than just a comment on our weight, it's how society values us as humans. All we are to society is our weight and men like him will never understand how that feels. Call me sensitive, but I'd rather be sensitive than an asshole. It's time to retire. TL;DR beware of old white man who bases what women should look like off of the child p0rn he watches. Must I stress calling a supposed 12-year-old curvy? Ew.
