Passing through and decided to have a late lunch here. Service here has always been better than my experiences in Reno. This location is nicer in terms of updates and the level of cleanliness. had the biggest craving for Chinese food and I couldn't fight it anymore. I went in to pick up a plate and their blazing bourbon chicken was advertised. I had a sample and decided to order that and my go-to orange chicken. Everything was made fresh as I was deciding on my meal. Yes I gave into fried rice and chowmein. Thank goodness we're bulking right now.

My half off the meal which was a perfect lunch

Not sure why the stars are so low on this place. We were craving Chinese and still on the search for a good Chinese restaurant. It was lunch time and that were busy. Line going out the door. I ordered a 2 protein plate with fried rice. You can also do lo mein noodles or 1 /2 snd 1/2. I opted for the fire cracker shrimp and the mushroom chicken. Both were fresh and delicious tasting. The fried rice actually had stuff in it unlike most that give you some brown rice with no veggies in it. To our suprise, it was really good. The shrimp were a great size and the chicken with mushrooms also had zuchini in it. Loved that. We split this plate between 2 adults and it was perfect for a great lunch. Definitely going back to try other items. Dining room was packed as well. But nice and clean.

Honestly not impressed! Chicken was way over cooked ,it was too hard I could not even eat it! And the rice was hard and crunchy! Very disappointed!

Over all a very clean location. The food was hot and fresh and the boxes were full. The ladies the assisted me were very nice and kept me informed about the timing of my online order. Very happy!

Normal signs here. How hard is it to have these working?

9/16/2018: Now, exactly WHY are you at Panda Express located in Carson City, Nevada with your ex-landlord who lives in Folsom CA, eh? Well~I invited my ex-landlord and his family staying at David Walley's Hot Mineral Springs Resort with me as a token of my appreciation allowing me living with them at their Folsom CA house for almost a year while waiting for my new house being built: They just arrived into Carson City, we met at Costco Gas Station down the main drag as a meeting point, they were hungry from driving three hours so, I bought them lunch at Panda Express. According to my ex-landlord's two sons, they stated when they're in a town where they don't know what to eat and where to eat, Panda Express always will have consistency and reliability serving their food: No wild, crazy, insanely spicy, twenty-million Scoville scale, hot alarm food will be served without a warning label sign which is a preferential, beneficial bonus and also, avoiding the spicy hot pain searing their tongues! The younger son loves Panda Express' chow mein so much, he orders two orders-that's how he rolls-literally!

Pros: 》decent portion sizes 》potstickers availability Cons: 》very few fresh dishes ready to be served, most soggy and been sitting there awhile and/or are empty and unmade. 》not the most bubbly friendliest staff The facility is fairly clean and what I truly love at this location is that they still make potstickers. All the Reno/Sparks locations stopped and I missed them terribly - so the past two times I've been in Carson I plan to stop by here just for them. The somewhat downside is that the staff no matter how nice you are and try to thank and get them to smile, they just aren't the friendliest people. They do however serve descent portion sizes, which I greatly appreciate. The other downside is that at 11:30 - they only had half dishes made and the other half empty - of the ones that were out, there weren't really any "fresh" options to choose from. Most appeared soggy or stale. I even had to microwave my string bean chicken after a 2 min drive to my friend's house (which I usually don't get string bean chicken- but was the most appealing "fresh"-ish item of what was there). The temperature of all the items was lukewarm to room temperature. All needed a good nuke in the microwave to revive it. I still love the potstickers, but truly wish the food was more freshly made or more options available.

I can't believe I have never written a review. Specializing in Indonesian food with a western twist, Tee Jay is serving up great noodle dishes, burgers, cheesesteaks, hot dogs, and one of my new favorites, Loco Moco! The Krakatoa cheesesteak is one of my favorites. Thin-cut steak, cheese, and if you like spicy, it's even better! The loco moco is what I tried most recently, and I thought the portion size was great for the price. The classic noodle dishes like pad thai and the curries are also bomb. The ambiance here isn't the best since it's located on a casino floor; however, the classic counter diner has a special ambiance in and of itself. I almost always get food to-go from here. Tee Jay is always working at this place with a few assistants, and they are a truly kind and caring staff, wanting to make the best food for their guests. Give Tee Jay's a try, you won't regret it.

If you're not familiar with Indonesian cuisine they'll walk you through it. The man working the grill noticed I ordered tofu and checked into make sure any dietary restrictions were covered, I don't have any but it was a nice touch. He also made sure the spice level was what I wanted ahead of time. I can do spicy, but probably not Indo spicy, so he kept it within my limits. I got the lumpia and tofu/egg/rice entree whose name I cannot remember. Absolutely delicious. No qualifiers like "for Carson city" or "for a casino". It was really great. They also made their own (very) hot sauce and riff on Chinese mustard. Both great. Way more than I could finish so they boxed it up beautifully. Then whammo, a surprise fruit salad for palate cleanser/dessert. Love it. Note: they have real sugar Pepsi. Whole heartedly recommend

So, my local friend wanted to take me to this Thai restaurant right down on the main street in downtown, if Carson has an actual downtown that is. We got parking right in front of the place on the main street. Inside is nice and elegant in a Thai kinda way. Nicer than a casual mom and pop Thai joint. We get seated at a nice table near the front. My friend already knows the menu, so I go with hos suggestion for the Lunch special Duck with sauce over rice. It's $22 bucks, so it better be good! He has the Thai battered salmon for around $19. Soup is included and it's just a veggie broth, though tasty. Then our lunch specials come out. Oh wow, that duck look really good. It's totally deboned, so no messing with bones at all. The sauce was super tasty. My friend said he thinks its some sort of duck juice reduction with other added stuff. Whatever, this was one of the most tasty duck dishes I've ever had. His salmon was unique, I never saw a dish like that made with salmon. The coating was very unique and crispy and the salmon not over cooked. Overall, I really liked this place. I think my crew is having lunch at one of the local casinos, I'd rather be here!

The bill came to $80 which I felt was kinda steep for 3 items, especially in Carson City. The restaurant is located on a street where there was very limited parking in front and all the rear parking is super dark so bring your night vision goggles. At least there's plenty of parking spots. When I walked in, I was surprised to see Caucasian staff members! Well I guess this isn't that different than Panda Express where you have hispanics in the front and the 1 token asian in the back cooking. I picked up my food and was pleasantly surprised to find the dishes were pretty loaded. I started dipping into my duck curry and OMG it was probably the best I've had. Not only was the flavor amazing and spiced just right, but there was a generous amount of duck! When I went to eat dim sum recently and ordered roast duck, I got a plate of duck that was mostly skin and bones. Here they actually de-boned the meat so you're getting nice chunks of flavorful, meaty duck along with fresh chunks of pineapple, tomatoes, and spices with that yummy curry over my caucasian rice (I like to be culturally sensitive). Even my wife that don't like duck really enjoyed this. So while $80 for 3 dishes may seem a bit high, it was worth it. I really enjoyed my meal here and my kids also ate all their noodles with enough leftovers for lunch the next day.

We have deep Laos roots and are very familiar with Thai cuisine, so we were hoping for something that felt more like home--but overall, the flavors were a bit lacking. The Crying Tiger was disappointing mainly because it wasn't pre-cut. I spent about 15 minutes cutting the meat myself, which meant the rest of my food got cold by the time I could actually enjoy it. That said, the Mango Sticky Rice was AMAZING--definitely the highlight of the meal and the one dish that really stood out. Service started off a bit rough. Our server initially seemed short and not very welcoming. Interestingly, once they realized we spoke Thai and we began ordering in Thai, the service noticeably improved and felt much more friendly. Overall: decent food, great dessert, but a few things kept it from being a standout experience.
