This is my first time to this location and it was our worst experience at a Panda Express yet. To be fair, it was Boxing Day and they were way under staffed. This probably points to a larger overall management issue. Due to being under staffed there was a very large line which was for the most part being served by one person. Because of this it seemed like a lot of little things fell through the crack. The iced tea was out and when I informed the staff she simply pressed the button to make more and didn't put any more tea in. This resulted in something closer to water than tea. The fried rice was somehow undercooked and burnt at the same time. It was like the rice they used wasn't cooked all the way but then they burned it in the wok. One of the nozzles for the soda machine was missing and thus sprayed all over me. All of the utensils and soda lids were out. On another note, I'm pretty sure it's a health code violation to have the same person running the register as serving food, especially if they're not washing their hands in between. Granted this is because there is only one person to do it and points to a management failure. We won't be coming back to this location. read more

Since not too many people actually drive while in SLT, it is not a problem. Very limited parking if you dare to drive and there is no need to. This location is very convenient to the main resorts on the 50 and Ski Run. Remind you this is during the COVID time so we did not actually enter the restaurant. Our order was taken at one door and pick up at the other door meaning you wait outside and there is no seating available. The neighboring restaurants have outdoor seating, but expect them to ask you to leave if not making a purchase there. Panda is Panda, the food is exactly the same here as it is in Las Vegas or Seattle's Panda's. My girls love it so that is good. The cashier was friendly and welcoming, food was warm and freshly cooked. Our order was for 5 people and was readied within a reasonable amount of time. Pricing is the same as other Pandas'. Ok food, poor service/rip off. Visit took place 8:40pm and server boy literally skimped is on the new Crispy Almond chicken only gave us 4 pieces for the one entre and for the other we asked for orange chicken witch he gave us 12 pieces of. Once we asked if he could even it out he mumbled profanity in Spanish and started talking to his peers making jokes as if I DONT understand Spanish. Not an enjoyable experience overall. The service is usually way better we come here all the time, we don't think so anymore. read more

Once you get through the extremely long lines, you're greeted by someone who acts like it's a total inconvenience for you to be there. They are not hygienic at all, handling cash or their phones and then handling the food. When the dining room was open, it was so filthy that they should've been shut down. The girl katie behind the counter was too busy taking pictures of the food with her dirty phone, even tho she had gloves on and then proceeded to serve food without washing her hands or changing gloves, seemed irked that she couldnt hear me well with a mask on and then only gave me like half the normal sized portion for an order. Ordered online, but the store didn't have the order ready. Then, the store ran out of part of my order, and were making me wait to cook more food. Gave me an ETA and missed it. Asked for a refund, was told they couldn't give me one. I asked again, and was told only the general manager could give a refund and she wasn't on site. Asked the employee to figure it out, and found out another employee was on the phone with the GM talking about their schedule instead of trying to fix the order or get a refund done. The employee trying to help me finally got the manager on the phone and the manager kept on trying to say that she could fix it in the morning and I'd have to wait until tomorrow. Still hadn't seen any food at this point, so I again insisted on a refund. The employee, still on the phone with the GM, then said she could process a refund from the card processor, but couldn't give me a refund receipt. I asked how I could prove a refund was ordered if I didn't have anything I verify it in writing or even electronically, and they still couldn't figure out a solution. Finally the employee said the GM would send me an email verifying I was getting a refund. I offered to take a cash refund instead since the manager was trying to ignore it until tomorrow, that was she just had to balance a drawer in the morning, but that was rejected by the employee. I've been standing next to the register for over half an hour now, and still hadn't gotten a resolution. At this point, I'm thinking I'll just stick around to waste as much of their time as it takes for them to figure it out. GM wants to talk to me on the phone, but still refuses to give a satisfactory result, so I tell the employee her boss can come down in person if she wants to talk, otherwise she's just wasting more of my time. Another five minutes go by, and they finally figure out how to process a refund... so in total, I had to waste a half an hour of the employees time half an hour of the GM's I'm on the phone with the employee, and 45 minutes of my time waiting on food that never came, all because they screwed up a processing a simple online order. Ordinarily, I would've just taken the food and left, but they've screwed up so many times, this lastI wanted this to be a final stand since I'm never coming back. Update 11/10/18: I decided to give them a try again tonight, but I should have known better. I waited in line during dinner this time. Line was all the way to the door, so by the time I got to the counter, ordered my food, and got to the register, it took over twenty minutes. At least this time I wasn't waiting on food. Everyone was rushing around, except for two employees at the register. There was a young man at the register that I wish I had gotten his name, but I missed his tag because it was crooked and hanging halfway off his shirt. Lucky for me, he would rather be a smart ass with Misty while she was trying to work instead of doing his job. He helped the customer in front of me when Paige came to the front. She wasn't helping, wasn't doing anything but talking to the man at the counter. And it must have been a n interesting conversation, because while they were talking, Paige finally decided to help. She took a bag and put my food in it. Unfortunately, the boy she was talking to at the register thought she was more interesting, so while he was distracted, he gave my food to another customer. When he stopped talking long enough to realize he made a mistake, it still took me pointing out to him what he had done to get him to register he screwed up. And instead of apologizing to me, or refilling my order, he chooses to run out the door after the customer he gave my food to. Who, by the way, was already leaving the parking lot. I ended up waiting another minute at the register, but Paige decided it was finally time to work, and with no one else at the register, I ended up leaving again with no food. This place is a disaster; it's been a horror show every time. I wish someone would open a competitor in the valley so this place would be run out of business. read more

Just bought 4 entrees at Panda Express in Carson City location yesterday. Around 2:30 pm. I have to tell you, the orange chicken, which is one entree all 4 meals contained, was really substandard! There was virtually NO GLAZE on the chicken pieces, the breading was soggy....it was definitely not up to par with what we've always experienced at Panda Express! Unfortunately, we grabbed our food to go, otherwise, honestly, I would have walked it back over to the counter! My Beijing Beef was also soggy and tasteless! The portions were small and a bit pitiful. All in all a very disappointing experience! They've reduced the sauces to a tablespoon in a packet instead of the much anticipated generous helpings in the plastic cups....I realize this is probably related to the Covid regulations, but it certainly doesn't help to improve on the whole experience! Disgusted. Worst Panda Express ever. Service extremely slow. Charged me wrong order $30 instead of $10 by Marian. When I pointed it out Marian "laughed" with her colleague friend and she asked me to give her my card so she could charge it again and put through right order. . When I asked how long it would take to reverse order she said funds would go back immediately. Un believable how on earth can a teller give such false information. I told her that was not possible and asked her why she could not refund the difference. She started arguing with me The manager came and said to me that was the system and there was nothing she could do about it. I then went ahead and said to her why should I suffer for their mistake? Why can they not acknowledge their error and at least use the word sorry. What if I did not have the money to spare me. She just stared at me blankly. Customer service is plainly an area that lacks in this particular store. I had other plans for my money and this incompetent team messed my day. Will never go back to this branch. I love panda, I work right next door and they've always been nothing but friendly and accommodating towards me. Their food is always fresh and piping hot when I come in to order. Orange chicken was dry & pasty - as if it had been sitting for some time. (This was probably because it HAD been sitting for some time.) Chow Mein was very light on vegetables and pretty greasy / oily. Kung Pao Chicken was loaded with peppers and celery - not enough chicken and peanuts - but the flavor was very good. Overall flavors were good, but the (sweet and sour?) sauce for the egg rolls was very lemony. None of the food was very hot. Portions size ranged from a little small to a little too much. Food here is fine but the pick up situation is a problem. Their signs clearly direct you to the Starbucks drive thru to Panda's side door to pick up. Food was good service was fast. Trick is to come when the food haven't been sitting out too long. So come at main eating times. Noon so on. Been here a few times now. They are not good at keeping up with the dinning room. You end up sitting at a dirty table. They don't wipe tables down after each person. They must run a tight ship or they just don't care. I wouldn't normally review fast food because chain restaurants are hard to give an unbiased opinion without it being related to the company as a whole. I just would like to specifically mention one employee in particular. His name is Jorge. He is the older man that cooks the food. There is a younger boy that works with him, and I'm not sure of his name, but they both provide the most excellent service to everyone. Every single time I walk in thy are both smiling so wide, and they are eager to help everyone despite the fact that dishing food might not be their job description. I am always left feeling welcomed and happy when they are working. I wish I could find another way to get the company to recognize them for their outstanding service! Honestly! I really don't like leaving bad reviews, but, even more I don't like rude customer service. Went in to get dinner for the family. It was about 5:15 and not very busy, but consistent. I placed my order and the ladies making the plates were polite. The cashier, not so much. I didn't look at her name tag, the the name on the receipt read Ashley F. We've had good food from this location, but the customer service is the worst! It is faster to stand in line and order since orders placed online are routinely late. Tonight was the worst! The order was not ready until 30 minutes after the scheduled time and then it was wrong and we had to wait another 15 minutes for them to correct it. You dont get what you pay for. Last night was my 3rd and final time I will waste money there. The first visit I had ordered walnut shrimp... there were 3, yes only 3 shrimp. The portion size of the Beijing beef was also very small. Second visit was strikingly similar to the first. Last night I ordered the Peking pork, Beijing beef and a single entree box of kung pou chicken. There was 8 pieces of pork NO beef at all... they didnt get that part of the order... and the little box was about 2/3 full (not much there). Lots of rice and noodles though. Taste was good, except for the missing Beijing beef. There are 3 other real Chinese restaurants near by that may cost a bit more, but certainly have much better portions and better attention to orders. TERRIBLE service/employees, food and price that we spent (over $120) for disgusting food and service. Two female staff members treated me horribly and forgot over $40 worth of food and then when I checked the order and saw the mistake, not only did I have to prove to them that this was the truth (terribly embarrassing as the dining room was full and she made me look like a crook) but also the employees never apologized and then opened every container with filthy dirty hands after holding a gross and used towel to clean the restroom prior; which I saw! This location has slowly started to decline over time. The last four visits to this location have been extremely disappointing. I used to love this location but through experience I have slowly changed my mind. Every time I visit they are never prepared. No matter what time of day or how busy....or not busy, they are. This location is consistently out of rice and chow mein, which adds an additional 5 minutes to your wait, minimum. On my last and final visit it took at least 15 minutes to get my food. I also had a coupon, which I have used numerous times in the past. The coupon gives you a free entree with the purchase of a plate or bigger plate. Every time I have used this coupon in the past my total came out to $9.00 or below, depending how I used it. But this time my total came out to $12.00?! When I questioned them about this I was treated horribly by their manager. When you experience something multiple times, it creates an expectation. Me and my husband use to be frequent visitors of this location but not anymore. We are tired of their lack of urgency, unprofessionalism, and unpreparedness. Another "straw that broke the camels back" was on another visit, this location was extremely busy. They had ran out of chow mein and rice, plus numerous entrees. I ended up waiting 22 minutes for my order. There were 13 crew members on staff. Besides that fact that they were extremely staffed to deal with a rush, the manager on duty and two of his team members were hanging out in the lobby and eating. And I realize they could have been on a lunch break, but the worst part about this is all three of them kept going behind the counter and preparing food for themselves, including stopping a team member from completing a guest meal......ummmmm, in my experience with the service industry, you wait until the paying customers are taken care of, and then you worry about your "free" meal. This place is an embarrassing excuse for a "fast food" restaurant and their customer service is the worst I have experienced in a long time. Save yourself the headache and go to China Jade Horse (if you want Asian cuisine), qdoba, which is right across the parking lot, or one of the many other choices available in the area. When I walked in I felt like my surroundings were dirty. Then the customer service was strained at best; people with flat affect should not be in customer service. Beware of the bad, and unsafe food practices at Panda Express. Have you ever observed the people putting new hot food in a tray of old food here at Panda express. Or other places? I have. In fact it is illegal. Food can only be stored at certain Temperatures for a minimum about of time. So when that time sensitive foods have reached it's safety limit it must be removed, and discarded. I have observed Panda Express mix newly cooked food with existing food in the trays, that means that the old food can potentially contaminated the new food if it has been in the tray past the " Temperature Control for Food Safety,(TCS) . They longer food sets the greater chance for pathogens to grow. This is why so many people get ill from eating at restaurants. Beside the food is over priced and the service is unresponsive. When I pointed out the potential hazards the staff was subjecting the customers to, some of the customers got mad at me, and the staff just keep mixing new food with old food. Eating at Panda Express could potentially make you sick, or possibly kill you if your in the susceptible risk category, pregnant, elderly, chronic illness, and children. If your young and dumb have at it, but don't put your children and elderly at greater risk of food borne illness by taking them to Panda Express! read more

Every time I have come into this store and ordered, I'm automatically given a take away box despite wanting to eat in and there are plenty of tables. It happened again today. I came in dressed in business attire and ordered two entrees with 1/2 & 1/2 rice and noodles. My order was put into a take away box without asking me if that's what I wanted. Not only that, it was all rice! I told the kid at the counter that it's obvious I wasn't wanted in the restaurant. I was so angry that I just left. I went to the Chinesse buffet in the next shopping plaza and got a huge meal for a just little bit more money. I've complained about this treatment before, but it hasn't done any good. I will NOT return this Panda Express again or any other. They have lost me as a customer for good. read more

This used to be a place I could take my family to but I guess not anymore.
