Loaded Mexican Street Corn ($4.60)
Sandee L.

Blown away by the generous portions here and I thought it was tastier than Chipotle! Extra bonus: guac and queso are no extra charge. We just wanted a snack around 3pm so we shared the birria mini bowl and the loaded street corn. Whoa! The two of us didn't even need to eat dinner after that. Service could have been friendlier, but was fine. It seems there were a few newbies there that had a lot of questions. Maybe they were in training.

Huge burrito stuffed

Have been coming here now for about 8 months. Having moved here from Texas, missed this kind of establishment. It's always clean. Staff for the most part are friendly. Now we usually go get a breakfast burrito between 10 and 1030am as you can add rice and beans to it. They do not put those out until 10am. Breakfast ends at 10:30am We've also had a lunch burrito. Equally yummy. I have had nothing but good experiences here. Took my dad from Texas here last year for breakfast and he loved it. They do offer 2 kinds of Tapito hot sauce for the table. (red, green) Went to lunch yesterday with the hubby and shared a huge breakfast burrito. Egg Chorizo Spicy queso Jalopeno Corn salsa Red hot salsa Guacamole Brown rice Shredded cheese Pinto beans and I'm sure I missed something. Neither of us could finish our entire 1/2 They will not cut it for you, but they do have plastic knives that work great. Can't beat it for $9.88 w/tax Look at this monster Lunch burritos are a little more in price, but still as massive. I see low review numbers, but we love this place and will frequent it. If I had to complain about 1 thing, they have the music a bit loud. Having severe tinnitus it is a little bother. But I overlook it for the food.

Hobanero lime steak, potatoes, and egg Quesidilla!

Froendly and accommodating staff! Plenty of parking! Food can be customized for your tastes! Mice variety of fresh and delicious food options. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Clean friendly and pretty tasty food. I had the salad with all the topping. It was pretty tasty, fresh and they are very accommodating with all the toppings I like.

Kids nachos and regular nachos

Just now getting to write this review however this is my favorite Qdoba ever! Rachel is an awesome employee and is one of the reasons I love this location! When I had asked for more queso on my nachos she didn't just give me half a scoop, she gave me more queso! The staff are all super friendly but Rachel made my whole experience! Definitely one of my favorite spots to grab a bite! Thank you!!

This Qdoba Mexican Eats is located in South Carson City, Nevada, in the Carson Valley Plaza Shopping Center. It's close to the Walmart, Best Buy, Starbucks to name a few of the adjacent tenants. This quick service restaurant is very clean, the employees are always nice and courteous, and it's in a convenient location. If you are coming from North Carson City or South Lake Tahoe, it's just south of Highway 50. If you are coming from Minden or Gardnerville it's before you Highway 50. They serve the best burritos, recommend you get it with the sauce on top. They also serve tacos, chips and salsa. Great option!

Not one person wearing a mask while sitting down eating, yet the clerk would not serve me.

I was happy to see they were open and went in and placed my order to-go for a chicken quesadilla, quesabirria tacos and an asada burrito. I tried everything and it was fresh and hot. The salsas were delicious and the hot red is spicy. I love eating grilled chiles with my favorite Mexican meals and appreciated the extras in my plate. Service was fairly quick and just as quickly as my order went in, it came out. I sat off to the side and watched three women working together in this small kitchen to get the orders our out and worked in beautiful harmony. Family run establishments and local businesses are my favorite to support. I think this one needs more kudos. They are attatched to the country store gas station in Carson. I believe there are just five tables in this dining room and seemed to have tables outside as well. Prices were good for the amount of food I got. I'll take that as a win in this economy. The only downside were the chips, but everything else was delicious! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

Every now and then I have one of those where have I been moments?…read moreWell, today was one of those times. I was at a plaza, not far from where San Marcos Grill is located. We were hungry and decided we wanted Mexican food. We've been really tired of the place we've been visiting as we are regulars there. We've been really wanting to try something new and I remembered there was a place down the street from the plaza we were at. San Marcos Grill is not very hard to find. It's just off the main drag going through Carson City on Winnie Lane. We pulled in to the parking lot and I have to be honest. My first thought was wow I hope this place is good. Because I had my doubts being in a strip mall. But you never know unless you try. So we walked, and I was amazed, how awesome this place looked I'm talking very festive, very clean. Tables were well spaced out. The lady greeted us immediately and pointed us to a table where we could sit at. She was there taking our drink orders very quickly. As we sat and looked over the menu, I could not get over the size and beauty of the bar that they have in this establishment. Complete with a great selection of any kind of drink, you could possibly want also TVs that are spaced around the establishment so if you want to watch a sport event, there's not a bad seat anywhere in the restaurant. After looking over the menu, our server came to our table was a very nice young lady and took our orders. My wife chose the beef enchiladas, and a taquito, which comes with rice and beans As I always do with a new establishment, I chose the Carnitas plate. I am a Carnitas aficionado and I always try everyone's Carnitas to see if they are legit. As we're waiting for our food, I noticed an older gentleman who was just helping everybody, come to find out he is the owner. I do not know his name, but he's very friendly guy and very warm and welcoming. As I said, the establishment is very spacious and clean. The bathroom was even clean, so it was a real joy to be there, even though we were waiting on our food, which did not take very long. My wife ordered a margarita that she really liked and I just had a Modelo with a lime. The gentleman I just told you about who I think is the owner brought our food to us and it looked amazing. Needless to say, we dug right into our food and I could not get over how great these Carnitas tasted. Not everyone can make really good Carnitas, they're either dry or they're cooked too long to were they are too crispy. These are so tender and flavorful. I enjoyed every bite. My plate came with rice in a small bowl of beans, a garnish of avocado, sour cream and pico. It also came with very hot corn tortillas The tortillas, however we're spoiled and tasted really old. In fact, you can smell how old they were. I let our server know, but it was no big deal because I had tortilla chips still on the table. She offered to get me some new tortillas, but it was fine because I only use the tortilla to kind of put my food onto the fork. So the tortilla chips worked just fine. I kept trying to eat the Carnitas slowly because I was savoring it so much. I did not want to hurry and be done with the meal too fast. This was our first visit here, and I can tell you that we will be back and probably become regulars. The staff here is very wonderful welcoming and I cannot recommend this place high enough to anyone that wants a great place to eat really great Mexican food. Kudos to the staff.!

For me, the tortilla chips and salsa are a good litmus test of how the food is going to be. All I can say is the chips were AMAZING. Crisp and flavorful. These chips were clearly homemade. The salsa was meh, but the chips were amazing. On this day, we were taken care of two wonderful Latina's, which added to the authenticity of the experience. I overheard our waitress saying she was from Mexico City. Legit. Our friends ordered the Sopas and Birria "soup". The Sopas looked amazing, with a hand formed tortilla and served with a variety of proteins. Our friend ordered the carnitas and chorizo, to have a couple of flavors to sample. She said that the tortilla was bit different than "her mom would make" but did not take away anything from the dish. Her husband had the Birria "soup". I don't know if that was the official name but that's what it looked like. LOL. Served in a rich broth (not oily) were wonderfully seasoned, tender chunks of Birria beef. Whenever a Mexican restaurant offers Menudo for breakfast, I'm down. Menudo it was. This dish was served with Tripe only, lacking the familiar hominy in the dish. I came to understand, the inclusion of hominy varies, depending on where in Mexico the recipe comes from. Well, all right, now I know. The kiss of death of Menudo is if the soup is "oily". No oily broth here. The dish was perfect, served all the normal accoutrement, including onions, cilantro and oregano. Now about the tortillas. We were told that the tortillas were hand made. O-M-G. These were the most delicious corn tortillas I have ever had. I couldn't stop eating them. OMG. Last but not least, my wife ordered the breakfast burrito. She ordered it with bacon instead of the normal Chorizo. Her breakfast burrito was legit. I don't know how they prepared their potatoes but man-o-man were they good. The burrito is also served with Mexican Queso. SO GOOD. The cheese added creamy goodness to the burrito. What a great meal. The restaurant is small but super clean and the staff were amazing. We are looking forward to sampling more of the menu. Que Bueno
