Walked in and a worker began complaining that the restaurant was "so busy" (there was one customer sitting inside and like two people in line behind me and my fiancé.) both workers at the front were impatient with customers deciding what they wanted and had attitudes the entire time. My fiancé and I both are slightly hearing impaired so we don't always hear things the first time and the workers were extremely irritated repeating things and didn't even try to hide it. I understand irritability and fatigue when a restaurant is busy, however the restaurant was rather dead inside and the customers weren't giving employees a hard time at all- even when employees were rude. read more

She didn't know how to properly communicate without coming off rude. She was rude to more than one customer, severed the customers behind me first with absolutely no reason only that she could. Not to mention they were out of food, almost everything they were only offering 3 main items. Close your damn doors for that shit. Bland over cooked, dry orange chicken. Not only was the food super OLD and dry, the girl serving us was very rude (and it wasn't even busy so idk why she was so rude!) & im pretty sure she skimped us, either that or panda has really downsized their portion sizes which is disappointing given it's not very cheap, I mean why am I paying six dollars for half a scoop of meat in my bowl? my panda bowls used to be super full but this one was like halfway full. I can see why this place gets such low ratings. We've eaten from there four times total. The first time was when my son ordered for us online and we went to picked it up. He is from Oregon. Everything was fine. The next time we went ourselves to dine in, and had to wait for them to make food but it was a little busy so that was understandable. The third time we went to order take out and when we got home an entre my wife ordered and we paid for was missing, so we drove all the way back to get it. So we decided we will check the bag whenever we get takeout from anyplace. Today (3/12/2021 @ ~ 4:05pm) we went to give them another chance because we like the food. When we got there they only had one patron eating and no other customers at all. There were multiple selections that had to be cooked and we had to wait again. The girl at the counter said that her cook had just stepped out and that she could substitute another entre for what I wanted. I said no and that I came there for what I ordered. Then she said we could wait for them to cook it and it would take around seven minutes so all the sudden someone else could cook it. As we stood waiting another girl told us, not asked us, but told us to sit down until our order was finished. We grabbed our food, made sure the order was complete by checking our bag and when that was verified we left. Yes, the food there is something we like, but the service is terrible and if the management reads this review, you need to get these people to do their jobs right. Getting people's order right and keeping food cooked and available should be the first priority. Being rude and commanding people around is completely unacceptable. I think we're done with Panda Express in the Billings Montana Heights. read more

I've been to multiple Panda Expresses around the country and let me just say that this location was by far one of the worst experiences with the franchise I've had and I'm usually not that picky with Chinese food that's so hard to mess up... I read some reviews before placing my online order and hoping my experience wouldn't turn out like the rest. Not my first choice for a Panda Express location, it was just the most convenient at the time given that the usual locations' drive-thru was packed with a long line going through the parking lot. After going on their location specific online menu, I noticed it was extremely limited for a Sunday night. No appetizers or any kind of rice to choose from. Not even egg rolls. I just thought with COVID that they had a limited selection so I continued with placing my order before heading towards the location to pick it up. After being unwelcomely greeted by one of the workers that was standing with a group of others, 3 hours before closing. He directed me to where my food was waiting. No, "Thank you" or "Enjoy... Have a nice night. Come back soon..." Not even a "Goodnight." Nothing, then he goes back giggling with his other coworkers in the kitchen area that looked like they were ready to go home, before helping other people that walked in as I'm leaving. After opening the contents of my meal. I noticed the lack of authenticity that I usually enjoy with my Panda Express take out. The smallest, put together, knit picky portions I've seen by far with any location. It's like they planned to have my order meticulously lacking of any kind extra food that there wasn't even any dripping sauce in any of the bottoms of my plates or boxes, which I do greatly enjoy the taste of. I can't tell if they were just cutting costs or what but the food looked just so quickly thrown together by people that don't know nor care how to cook Chinese food or simply follow corporate directions to serve it properly. 2/3rds of the buffet line was in operation with very little in the bottom of the serving bowls that looked very dry and it just seemed like the food needed more sauce and some time to cook. Or they over cooked hours before, enough to cause it to become dry... who knows. Everything looked so disappointingly dry I can't stress that enough. The supposedly steamed vegetables were very undercooked especially the broccoli. I wish it gets better but Ive never tasted orange chicken so terribly and bizarrely prepped before until I went here, I couldn't even enjoy what was going into my mouth. I just don't know if this is a consistency issue going on or the people being employed at this location just don't care about the food their putting out to families trying to enjoy their night and the food they like. There's two locations in Billings and let me just say that I will gladly wait in that long ass drive-thru if it means food like this is being so un-carelessly sold for that I have to pay for an unpleasant experience. I usually love Panda Express enough that it doesn't make me want to tell people to spend their money on better tasting food elsewhere before they might experience the same thing I went through. Just tried to get food again and your times on your yelp are different than what they say on the door. My fiance and I live on the other side of town and made the mistake of going to the one in the heights instead of the store on grand we were not only not served what we ordered but served raw chicken 0 out of 5 from me never eating in the heights again. Went through drive-thru tonight on Grand Ave store. It was still a half hour to close. Had to wait in drive through over 10 minutes, with only two cars in front of me. Had to wait several more minutes at the speaker. Finally was able to order. After I got my order, the forgot to include two orders of Spring Rolls. Thought to myself, no problem, will just go in and order them again and pay for them, since they weren't on the original order, even though I had ordered them orginally. No luck though, the doors were already locked at 8:50 pm and several employees were adjusting tape marks on the floor, in front of the counter area. Will not be returning to Grand store until all the Covid-19 stuff is over. This store is overly paranoid. Have been there several times in the past couple of months. Each visit is getting more frustrating with the lack of good customer service. read more

I'm not sure how this franchise remains in business. I visited the Panda Express on Main Street several weeks ago to find the doors still locked at 11:15 and with a wait time of another 15 minutes before the line would be ready. Today I came in and found out the system was down and they could not take cards. They were missing 5 entrees and not sure when any more would be ready. I then watched one of the employees arguing with the manager over the way something was to be handled. If I could give less than one star I would. I am a frequent customer of Panda Express Heights Location, and usually have a great experience, but recently service has become absolutely awful. After using the online order so my husband could run in and out to get food, he went there and was told the order was never received, I then called and after getting a little upset about having already paid and them stating they did not have record of the order, it was found, so my husband went back a second time. While there, the customer service was awful, the girl working the counter was rude, and seemed like she could not be bothered by actually having to do her job, I wish her name was gotten so I could personally call her out for her unprofessional demeanor. My husband had to physically get a cup himself because when he asked about the drink with the order she simply walked away. Upon arriving home for the second time, half of our order was missing! I then had to call AGAIN and complain. I was told I would get a refund, but I would physically have to come in to even get it. After this we will not be going to panda express for some time. I am greatly disappointed with the customer service, the food, and professionalism that the employees showed. Over all a very poor experience. read more

Would have given it 0 stars if i could. they gave our food to a different person, and this happened multiple times in the 20 minutes i was there. the staff was friendly, but very confused, loud and continually yelled across the entire store while trying to clean to leave before they were even closed. staff was yelling and making jokes about spitting in food. the worst part is that one member took a rolling trash can full of rotten, smelly, and old food and walked with it right past our table. they could have chosen many different ways rather than that specific route. also, they had people's orders that were already done on the bowl of prepared food with no lid, and continued to serve that food that was under the togo boxes. not to mention, the serving area and tables were filthy, and our food was flavorless and cold. if you're going to spend money here, drive to Grand Ave. i'd personally rather use more gas than have gross food. read more
