We stopped on our drive back home to get dinner. The service was wonderful. They were very welcoming and prepared our order quickly.

I was in a hurry to get outta Redding before the flooding got any worse, so I was heading back home to Red Bluff on the 5 and I decided I need some dinner food to go. It's rainin like a yama yama mama jamma out here, like drivin' in a carwash. It's late but I knew Panda Express here in Andersson was still open. It's located right across the parking lot of the big Walmart. Pulled in and went in. There was still decent food in the serving trays behind the counter. I ordered 2 bowls (the smallest orders) of the broccoli beef and the what they call spicy orange chicken. I think that's what it was called. I'm watching as the server filled the bowls, and I urged them on to fill it a little more. They only added a little dinky bit more. I think the serving sizes are a little on the skimpy side compared to like the little independent Chinese owned fast food place in Red Bluff, where they just stuff the box as full as it will go. I just notice this about all the Panda Expresses I've been to. I got both with the chow mien as the side. At least they take credit cards easy here and no credit card use fee. I just usually pay cash at the little mom and pop places. I get home and the food is still decently hot. The broccoli beef is just OK, but the spicy orange chicken thing was pretty tasty. The bowl orders were actually kind deep, so there was actually a decent amount of food in each. I'm just glad they were open and I guess Panda Express does have it's use. If they were just a little more generous with the portions, they'd get a higher rating, just cause other mom and pops are better with the portions for about the same price. read more

I am not usually a whiner but the quality of the food from the Anderson CA Panda Express today requires a comment. We have eaten from that store for years and while the latino appearing lady cooked it was really good. After she left a few years ago, the quality has vascilated significally; sometimes not good but not bad enough to complain. In the drive through today at noon, I ordered a single plate, 1/2 & 1/2 with orange chicken and honey sesame chicken. Both entrees were so tough and "old appearing" It was unedible and I threw half of it in the trash. And I'm not sure what one entree was as there were enough green beans in it to indicate it was the green bean chicken. I couldn't tell by taste. However, the help is always nice. I travel past this Panda Express about once a month. I love the convenience of the drive-thru and every time, my order is ready in lightning time. Staff at the drive-thru have always been very kind. Also the large drink is humongous, which helps during my 5 hour drive. Food has always been very good. read more

This visit to Panda Express was HORRIBLE. First off, I ordered spring rolls for my kids and i got rangoons. This ruined my kids and I's mood! Next, my fortune cookie only had one side and no paper. My kid started telling me that I was gonna die,I guess she learned it off this internet thing, and I really thought that I was gonna die . Then, I was in ordering, and the lady put chow mien instead of fried rice. I made her fix it because my kid really really really wanted fried rice. This is not good service because they are not listening to the things I am ordering and putting wrong things in my order. Lastly, my child was just eating her rice and then I heard a scream! Then she ran into the living room with a packet of salt!!! There was a packet off salt in my child's fried rice! Who knows if it was even rice. This is very non safe. Meh. We were ordering and we had to continuously repeat what we said and ended up getting our food wrong. We had to ask for silverware and received no napkins. We wanted to get the new sizzling shrimp but the worker had no idea what we were talking about. 3 stars are deserved just because the food always slaps. I used to go here all the time they make extremely good food but just recently got food from them and was pretty grossed out when I noticed hair in my food I didn't call and complain I just threw it away. I was at Walmart last Thursday and it was almost 1 pm and l skipped breakfast so l decided to go to Panda Express which was close by. Even though there were three employees working, l had to wait until someone showed up from the drive through before l was able to place my order. I got a bowl of white rice and for a side l ordered the beef and broccoli. What a fricking joke. I ate the food in my car as l was waiting for my friend at Wally's and what l got was a $9.27 cents worth of rice with three skimpy pieces of beef, no larger than a nickel and four pieces of broccoli. I really love broccoli and what very little beef l had was also delicious but when l get maybe one dollars worth of beef and broccoli and $8.00 for a bowl of dried white rice, that's the last time Panda Express will see my face or my wallet. Sonic was just down the road a bit and next time l am in the area, you can bet l won't be spending my money at Panda Express. What a rip off. I have been going to this sight for many years. I have had good food and enjoyed it, but for some reason unknown to me, this place has fallen badly. I ordered the orange chicken that Ibalways have ordered tonight and it was dry and chewy like warmed up micro food. It was just awful. I also order the Walnut chicken, same thing. The fried rice, dry and tasteless. What has happened to my favorite place? It wasn't late night so they should have had fresh food. This was definitely not. Decided to visit this location as I had just moved to Anderson recently and have had good experiences with other locations. When I got to the store the drive thru line was insane. I waited in line for at least 20 minutes, before I was even able to order my food. Once I finally did order they were out of mushroom chicken so that had to be made. When I got home literally 5 minutes away from the location I ate one of my honey walnut shrimp and they were so soggy like they had been made hours ago. The outer fired peeling just fell off of the shrimp, I was very disappointed with my visit :/ I received a reply from Derek as seen down below but there is no real way to reply to a comment on these except to update your review which is a little backwards in itself. I was very disappointed with my order. I ordered the combination plate with broccoli beef, mushroom chicken and steamed rice. I received chow mein instead of steamed rice and the entree portion was minuscule. It had one piece of beef and two pieces of chicken. read more

Inaccurate order...customer service was horrible. Both the drive thru and shift lead very rude and never acknowledged they messed up order. Both made the customer feel like it was my fault even though the order was correctly placed which was shown on receipt. Neither apologize for the additional wait for the item that was missing. This manager should be fired and the crew also. I walk in at 8:15PM to get dinner, and practically all the items were empty. Was told will take 7-10 mins to cook. Really??? Isn't this a restaurant, and I'm not the only angry customer trust that. So then I finally pick out the food items, get to the register to pay and then was told sorry out of soy sauce for rice and noodles. Really ??? I will never be back to this Panda Express. I went there 13 September 2016. I ordered chow mien, orange chicken, beef and broccoli. Everything was good going down and this was the only thing I ate. Well today is September 14th and I'm currently sitting at an urgent care because I woke up in the middle of the night vomiting and with diarrhea. Can't even keep water down now. My fiance and I go there often. Yes there is sometimes a little wait but the food is usually worth it. The staff is usually very upbeat and positive for working at a fast food restaurant. The worst experience we've had is a woman slapping my fiance' s hand when he went to grab a straw. If I could give negative stars, I would. The Panda in Anderson is horrible. When I showed up this afternoon, the drive-thru was blocked off for reasons unknown. So when I went inside I had to wait more than 10 minutes to even place my order. One would think that the place was packed...they would be wrong, there was 1 person in from of me (she too was highly annoyed). Most of everything was empty and the cooks were working at a snail's pace. I place my order and have to wait an additional "7 minutes" for our order to cook. The staff is slow and nonchalant. It's almost time for the dinner rush on a Saturday and they are not even close to prepared. As I write this review, waiting for "7 minutes" for my order, there is now a line almost out the door. This places really rocks! They are busy all of the time and theirnemployees stay super active and accurate to maintain it even when they are training new employees. UPDATE. I did get contacted by someone who claimed to be the owner. She asked me to give it another try and she understood my complaints. Well I fell for it and nothing has changed. While the restaurant is clean, their employees still act like you are bothering them by choosing the food you want them to serve. Where do they find these ill mannered kids they hire? I am paying a fair amount of money for this food which makes it possible for them to have a job there but I guess that is the problem. These people don't really want to work or at least they act that way. If the owner reads this update, don't bother contacting me again as I won't fall for the same trick twice. I'm done. I can go to a real Chinese restaurant where the employees are respectful and know how to greet and treat their customers because, unlike your place, they appreciate my business. Hint.... 1-27-17 I used to stop by here when I had cravings for Chinese and normally the staff were really polite and accommodating but I've been gone for a year and this is my first time into panda since I've moved back. It was a little before 9pm (30-plus minutes until closing) and the first thing I see when I park in front is a little Honda hatchback parked diagonally so that it is taking up two parking stalls and one of them being a handicapped space! As I walk by there's no handicapped permits in the car or on the plates, "what a jackass," I think to myself as I enter the restaurant. I get in line behind multiple couples waiting to order but over half of the entrees are empty. The girl filling plates ask what I want want, I tell her mushroom chicken. She responds, "she's not making that right now, what else do you want?" I look behind her and the blonde girl with glasses is just standing in the kitchen alone. I ask her if there's any way the "cook" could make more Shanghai angus. And the girl responds, ".....uh....I don't know, let me ask." She then walked in the back with the blonde for 4-5 minutes and the returned and asked if it was alright if it took 7-12 minutes. I told her that was fine but the blonde girl was nowhere to be seen. Another seven minutes later the blonde walks out and asked if she still has to make the angus steak "even though it will take 7 minutes?" And I said, "yes, please." Without looking at me she let out a frustrated "GHAAAAAH!!" (like a toddler who had been told she had to do her chores) then slammed the wok on the stove. The young guy that rang me up seemed understanding and told me he wasn't going to charge me for everything. As I waited for my angus steak I noticed a heavyset guy that was wiping tables and windows grab some food and then get in the Honda that was parked like an idiot, THE GUY THAT PARKED IN THE HANDICAPPED SPOT WORKS THERE!!! Was he parked like that, directly in front, his whole shift?! This place certainly went downhill since I've been gone... And I feel sorry for the staff that have to work with the blonde girl because both the girl serving and the guy ringing up acted like the blonde made their shift hell. By far the worst Panda Express I have ever been to. The food all had black speckles in it from the dirty grill. They sold us sodas, then told us their CO2 was out. Ice machine was out of ice. No lids for cups. The urinal had pee in it, and a out of order sign. Streamed vegetables were soggy. All of the tables were dirty. I should have walked away before ordering :( read more

Always out of everything. They haven't figured out how to time fresh stuff before older stuff runs out. Usually a line with only one employee serving. I say management needs to do a better job training. I usually try and go to the one by the mount shasta mall. I try and see if this place has gotten better but doesn't seem to change. read more
